Hi, after last update I have a serious security issue. Even if I set pin and fingerprint as unlock method, the phone can be unlocked just by swiping the screen. Has anyone experienced that? How can I solve?

Do you have Smart Lock enabled? Check your settings, maybe you enabled it and forgot about it.

You right! I am an idiot! I use "my places", but I didn't think that it modify Smart Lock settings too.

When I use the Nova double tap gesture to lock the screen (using Greenify, Screen Off and Lock or Screen Off), I have to type in my pin to open the phone (it won't let me only use the fingerprint scanner). When I shut off the screen via the power button the fingerprint scanner is all that's needed . Do you guys know of a work around to use DT2S while being able to still use the fingerprint scanner to reawaken the phone?

Mine is working with Nova, you don't need Screen Off anymore, it's built into Nova for awhile now.
I noticed that but I still have to enter the pin after diuble tspping even though fingerprint is enabled. Weird.

same here, kinda sucks that I have to keep entering the pin
I'm using swipe up gesture to screen off. Fingerprint unlock is working
Same here. It works but I have to put in my pin after fingerprint.

same maybe it's something that we disabled that broke something?
So I had the same thing. Its actually greenify. Took me a while to figure it out because i was in the same boat. Uninstall that and try the built in app control. I'll still throw down between 5-6 hours screen time without greenify
I use the same exact setup and my fingerprint scanner works perfect.

It says when you use this why it does it, you'll need root to get around this issue and enable root mode in Nova Settings.
that doesn't make any sense. mine works completely fine by doing this. I never turn it off using the power button and I always unlock it with the scanner.

I tried it again with Greenify and the other double tap to lock apps uninstalled and set Nova to use its own lock device setting yet I still have to enter my pin when turning on the screen using the fingerprint scanner. It's bizarre.

I have the same problem. Galaxy S7 + Greenify or Screen OFF, every time I have to enter the PIN too. It is very annoying. I hate to use the side button to shut off the screen, I need one of these apps to work properly with the fingerprint scanner.
same here, have to use the pattern after Nova's double tap lock.
I think the issue shows up if you are also using Smart Lock. I installed Screen Lock Pro and use it in the Nova gestures for double tap and it works great.

Screen Lock Pro does not require your password after fingerprint? I tried two different lock screen utilities and both still required my password.

Correct. There is an option you need to select that I should have mentioned. Smart lock and Nexus imprint must be selected and then it will work. You do need the pro version.
Back on my G3 with Nova I had this same issue when I enabled Smart Lock. I also tried many apps and could not find one that worked. Glad someone on Reddit posted this solution

Normaly You have toggle quick settings always. It works evean lock screen is on. Wi-fi, bluetooth need pin to disable on lockscreen, but 3g data or flymode work wthout pin. So if somone stol my phone, i cant track him.

Good point! But it would be also nice to disable turn off or restart.
But I guess volume down + power button will always work. How iPhone deals with this kind of situation?

IPhone has icloud activation lock, if the phone is registered to someone's account and you steal it and format it when going through setup it asks for the owners icloud details and won't move on from that

The question here is there anyway to keep the phone alive so you can track it as far as the battery goes. No way to shut it down or turn data and wifi off.

How about changing the lock screen with another lock screen app that disables quick settings? Next is one. Credit this post.
Samsung's Good Lock app (which replaces the stock lock screen) requires a PIN entry to change any of the quick toggles when the screen is locked.
If i have the screen turned off for a couple of minutes and i press home screen it will ask for pin and not fingerprint,is this a bug? ,can it be fixed?
It's very frustrating and i don't know what to do,i did not have this problem in S6.
which model, are you just make twrp when phone need pin ?
You are using a different launcher, right? Its normal if that's the case.
Default luncher not rooted, it ssk for pin if turned offby power button and start it by home button.. Very frustrating

+1 right I have the same . Only in TW works good.
Are you using an app to lock the phone?
No, i got the problem evenif i turn it by power button

Have seen this issue before, usually caused by a third party app. Boot in safe mode to see if issue persists.
Yes thanks, screen off and lock was the problem

Anyone all to use the fingerprint to log into the chase banking app on the tmobile galaxy s7?
I used to be able to do it on my one plus 3, but that option doesn't appear to be available on the s7 with chase banking app?
I use it works fine. I want to say the app asked me if I wanted to enable it

Are you rooted? You using firmware PG1?
What settings do you have in security and locksreen? I just tried re-installing chase mobile app version 3.29 and still no option for fingerprint to log in
I am not rooted running the latest T-Mobile firmware.
I use lockscreen finger print with backup pattern.
Are you using package Disabler?
Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
I'm rooted. Not using package Disabler but use titanium to freeze stuff. Wonder if chase needs a certain system app for that to work.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Still strange not working.
If I erase all the fingerprints in my phone, the chase app gives the option of unlocking the app with fingerprint. But once I add my finger print and then log back into chase the setting is gone. Anyone have any ideas?
Dont know if you got it working or not, but I did this to get it working on my rooted note 5 on PD1:
Turn off fingerprints and erase fingerprint data. (Make sure you have quick access to the lockscreen/fingerprint page through the recents button).
Login to chase, and see if it asks if you'd like fingerprint login. If not, re-install.
Enable (obviously) to which then it'll say no fingerprints registered or whatever. While still in the app, go to "my settings" through the menu on the right side of the screen, and tap on fingerprint login. Then, go to the lockscreen settings and setup your fingerprints.
Once done, quickly go back to the chase app (before automatic logoff kicks in) and tap the service on.
Hope this helps ☺
I'm on TMobile. And I just got an update for the always on display. It now has the option to show notifications on the on the screen. I clicked this on the settings but I'm still not seeing the notifications. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes tge new update for s7edge has some new features, but unfortunately samsung exceeded the third party notifications, i don't understand why, doesn't make sense..
Try this
Settings - Lock Screen & Security - Other Security Settings - Notification Access
Turn Always On Display to ON, the update didn't turned it on by itself.

In the mean time I uninstalled the update and then continue to use GalaxyxMod:
