You should define "safe". If what you mean is a solid fully functional phone then it is safe.
But please read the guide first, it is stated that soak test cannot be downgraded and there is a possibility you're not receiving official Lollipop

Root on .93
Install dual recovery
Flash a pre-rooted lollipop zip
That's it. If you flash another rom via flashtool after rooting you will lose root
Thanks bro, appreciate the help

how did you manage to downgrade without errors?
No matter what version i downgrade to i lose baseband and get FC's on com.xxxx.phone which results in a boot loop, i then have to use the Companion to repair back to 6.0.1
EDIT
Fixed It, had a sneaky ta file while flashing the .ftf

As state in other threads no there is not and may never be. You would have to flash kitkat and be on AT&T to ota update to MM
And no you cannot flash different model firmwares.

How to manually flash Nougat 7.0 firmware on G930?

Hi guys i have the Korean variant G930K. I think it's the same thing as G930F...
How do I flash the Nougat 7.0 firmware? I tried putting the phone into download mode and used Odin, but received an error message.
Is there something i need to do prior?

I think you have too old odin. Then it give errors. Use the most new odin.
