i accidentally restarted my nexus 5 when its formatting cache in recovery mode, after i tried restarting it, it's not passing forward the google logo. so is there any solution of recovering my phone to its original form without loosing data?
Is the bootloader unlocked? Which version of Android? Which recovery (TWRP/CWM/stock)?

Hi there,
my nexus one is stuck in a boot loop and crashed during the "X" animation.
It is not yet rooted but I'm able to boot into flashboot and recovery. If have data on the phone that I need to secure first before reseting or flashing it (like contacts, messages, not synced).
Is there a possibility to backup the data in any way? Or to restore the system without loosing data?
I've heard that with the N1 if I root it I will loose all the data, so this wouldn't be an option. Can I do something with fastboot? Or with the recovery mode?
One idea would be to somehow reinstall the last froyo update with the recovery mode (update.zip on sd card) and to hope that then it is working again. Is that possible?
Any help is really welcome. Thanks a lot.
Ok sorry wrong category here.

so no one got an idea? then it seems I have to do a factory reset unfortunately
I am running an unrooted Nexus 5 with stock 5.0.1 on it.
I have managed to Brick my phone by not waiting for the cache partition to finish. It was taking around 5 minutes so I rebooted and that apparently bricked it. The phone will either go into recovery mode or get stuck in a bootloading. Recovery mode is mostly useless, it will not allow me to re-wipe the cache partition, volume up does not take me anywhere.
I tried using wugfresh's nexus toolkit to just factory reset the phone, but it will not work because the drivers are not working properly. Any help would be appreciated, I am so bummed I bricked my phone.
Fastboot flash stock cache image. Common problem, well documented
Nexus on bootloop tried every method ,most of them . Flashing new factory image is also of no good. Cleared cache , factory reset and still on bootloop. Will be grateful for any help.On flashing lollipop factory image it gets stuck on boot loop and on flashing KitKat factory image or using any custom ROM like cyanogenmod it gets through boot but is unable to detect sim and apps like play store and camera keep crashing and refuses to open.

Follow method 2 of this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47156064. If it doesn't work try re-locking your bootloader and rebooting. Does it stay locked?
Sent from my Nexus 9 using XDA Free mobile app
it seems that you need to fix persist partitionhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/guide-to-fix-persist-partition-t2821576
Guys nexus 5 was working fine.. After uninstalling few apps i decided to restart the device so so i power off the device and then turn it back on ever since device is stuck at boot animation
Plz help me out
Unfortunately your device is locked, which means you will lose everything on it (hope you use cloud backups).
You can try one thing first. From recovery (third image), try wiping the cache partition. What happens? Same mount errors? If not, try to boot.
If it still doesn't boot, you'll have to flash the factory images, which involves having your whole data wiped.

This is a known problem. If wiping your cache does not help look here
