πŸ“š Mediatek development only - check your Note 3 version - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 [Mediatek] ROMs, Kernels, Reco

Update: This forum is for the Mediatek versions only.
For Snapdragon versions you need to go here: Snapdragon
It will still be useful to ensure thread titles state the Redmi Note 3 version [Snapdragon] or [Mediatek] as the software is not interchangeable and people can arrive at these threads without realizing whether they are in the Snapdragon or Mediatek forum.
Thank you to tech mashido for helping me clarify the versions listed below:
Redmi Note 3 has two Versions/Editions:
Mediatek (MTK) Codename:-Hennessy
1. Redmi Note 3 ............................................2Gb RAM/16Gb ROM
2. Redmi Note 3 ............................................3Gb RAM/32Gb ROM
Snapdragon Edition (SD) Codename:- Kenzo (also known unofficially as "Pro")
3. Redmi Note 3 ............................................2Gb RAM/16Gb ROM
4. Redmi Note 3 ............................................3Gb RAM/32Gb ROM

Leeco Le 2 x520 (Snapdragon 652) custom roms.

The Leeco le 2 x520 has similar hardware as Xiaomi redmi note 3 pro, such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 652(Redmi Note 3 pro has Snapdragon 650), 3gb ram, 32Gb SD. Does anyone have custom rom for this device?
I wanna buy this phone but first i must find good rom, if not then i buy Redmi Note 3 pro and install cyanogenmod

[Completed] Has xiaomi redmi note 3 (mtk ver.) been forgotten in rom support?

I'm using a xiaomi redmi note 3 and i just wait a lot in the next ROM 6.0 support in this device ! But many users of this device (including me) think Dev has forgotten this device and pay too much time for the "younger brother" of it: redmi note 3 PRO ! We're so lonely

Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime have the same batteries...? But anyways, no, you can't. Redmi 4 has a different SoC (CPU/GPU) with the Redmi 4 Prime.
Redmi 4A > Snapdragon 425
Redmi 4 > Snapdragon 430
Redmi 4X > Snapdragon 435
Redmi 4 Prime > Snapdragon 625
None of them is compatible.

95% no without tweaking and porting many stuff. It's the same as Redmi 4 Prime and Redmi Note 4 (SD version). They both have SD625, but their ROMs aren't interchangeable. Not many ROMs right now, but try PDA.ru or the Xiaomi forums if you can't find anything here.
Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 don't have any custom ROMs atm except for MIUI.eu (I may be wrong, not 100% sure).

Thanks alot!
Closest ROM you would find is the ROMs for Redmi 3S, they have the same hardware capabilities. (Same chipset, same display, excellent)
You just need to do a lot of porting to get it working

Question Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G (PISSARO)

I'm a little confused: I bought the european Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, but the name is pissaro (adb shows piassaropro). Is there no subforum? In XDA News I read, that my one is the same than Xiaomi 11i, but that's not true, because my SoC is MediaTek Dimensity 920
MediaTek device = no development, sorry mate
thanks, I've returned the phone ;-)))
that's why i never get a phone that has any other chipset than snapdragon
Hello, shouldn't this forum be called Redmi Note 11E Pro [China] / Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G [Global] / POCO X4 Pro 5G [Global] (veux)?
Why is it wrong that the Pro+ version was added
Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5g is the name of the Indian variant.
It isn't sold widely as veux, pity since Dimensity 920 is better in general rather than SD 695.
Regarding development, Redmi Note 8 Pro with Mediatek G90T still has on going development, but yeah, it isn't very supportive as SD since SD has CAF, while Mediatek solely relies on manufacturer's mercy.
It is sold in SEA. I'd say thats popular enough. It just hasn't officially arrived yet. But many people including myself already got it unofficially.
Anything promising with this kernel release for PISSARRO and PISSARROPRO? https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/pissarro-r-oss

as much as that would be great
Those 3 aren't the only devices that are one in the same
The Redmi Note 11E further has devices that are one in the same
Xiaomi 11i 5G being one
So adding all of them in the title would just be messy
Side note: damn Xiaomi how many different rebrands for the same device?

Estimated 15 devices.
Gents, I'm about to buy a global version. Is there any factory rom for this device with MIUI dialer, google services and english language? In my current device I am using a rooted Indonesian rom which is all I need, but for pissarropro couldn't find one.

The only reason, there is a Redmi Note 8 Pro community, is the fact that Xiaomi released its source code.
Mediatek has the policy not to do so and most likely wonβ€˜t. Additionally Xiaomi has locked Miflash to internal staff for Mediatek. If you ever soft brick it, it is hard bricked for you and only soft bricked for Xiaomi employees

Hello.I would like to go back from MIUI 13.0.5.0 to MIUI 12.5.4.0. Can I use MiFlash for my Redmi Note Pro 11+ device? A thousand thanks

Question Why am I not able to flash the global rom of Redmi note 11 pro+ 5g(pissario) in my redmi note 11 pro+ 5g(peux) India?

Why am I not able to flash the global rom of Redmi note 11 pro+ 5g(pissario) in my redmi note 11 pro+ 5g(peux) India?
Because pissarro. You're peux. That simple. If the codename is different they are different devices.
That is because there are two models released, one with mediatek chip last year and one with Snapdragon chip this current year.
You're trying to flash the mediatek rom to the Snapdragon rom which is not possible.
If you're from India, you should see that your rom is "peux_in". So search for " peuxg" for global.
You can try the eu rom. It has Chinese theme store(more theme options) and miui contacts and dialer and many more if you want that
