Hello guys
I just bought (2 hours ago) a new samsung s7. I got a receipt from the guy from who i purchased from, and he told me that the phone was "operator unlocked" by a friend of his.
Now I got the phone, he gave me the proof of payment (that he purchased and didn't steal, I hope ...).
Before I started to set up everything, I did a factory reset.
I booted it up, entered my gmail account, all other accounts, facebook etc....
All good. Then I decided to do a quick restart, and now it won't boot, it says "Custom Binary blocked by FRP Lock" (I attached a picture also).

Now what can I do? I contacted him and he told me that tomorrow he will help fix things.
My question is this:
a) This message appears because I entered a google account different from the original one?
b) This message appears because they unlocked the phone
What message do you get if a phone is stolen? Is is the same? Because if this is simply a custom build installed, then I can revert back to original OEM build (I am in the same network as the phone was purchase from, so I don't care about unblocking).
So do you guys thing it's b from above? And maybe if I do http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/help/frp-boot-fix-sm-g930f-t3350149 it will be OK?
Thanks!
Vlad
This message appears because they rooted the phone and forgot about the OEM lock
What your seeing is exactly that thread linked so yes that will work just fine.
shamed to admit it but I did the same thing

To unlock operator a phone, you need to root it, right?

you just need to contact the carrier to unlock the phone.
Hi Sodevrom,
To solve your problem, you have to flash via Odin Official Samsung Firmware.

OK guys.. I'm facing this little trouble here. Last night I was forced to do a factory reset on my Moto G (more info here)...
Trying to set my Motorola Device ID once again, it says "There is a problem with the clock on the device. Please contact customer service". I did that, chatted with a girl of customer service of Motorola but didn't help me figure out what is this.
Basically, the phone got stuck during the installation of an app, and I rebooted it, and after the boot animation, it showed an illuminated but black screen... So the only solution for that was hard reset, I lost everything. Wipe cache didn't work.
When I got this phone, it came with 4.4.2, I've never rooted or unlocked the bootloader so I OTAed to 4.4.4.
I was using ART on 4.4.4 when all this happened.
I set up the phone, then I go to Motorola Device ID menu on settings

}
I put my Motorola ID which is my Google Account
And suddenly:
Obviously it doesn't refer to the actual time and date, since they are updated by the internet, so, any ideas of what could this be?
I saw on another forums about Moto X users having this issue after making factory reset on 4.4.4... Maybe this is a Bug of this Android version, since when I was on 4.4.2 I put that Moto ID correctly, then OTAed, and now I cant put that ID.
By the way, my G is ALL STOCK since the first day...
EDIT: As @2hipso said, it solved switching between runtimes: Passing from dalvik to ART should solve this. I switched from Dalvik to ART and then I could enter my Motorola ID, then switched back to Dalvik and the ID was still there. :victory:

Hi Guys,
I'm a new poster but long time reader.
I hope someone can assist; I have been trying for a good few hours to allow my S4 (GT-I9505) to accept any Sim card.
Currently, when it's turned on it will give the message:
SIM Unlock Network PIN
You get the following options:
<Unlock>
<Dismiss>
It's a UK Phone originally from the EE network.
The Phone used to have a stock EE Firmware version 4.4.2 (I9505XXUGNI2) I have since flashed this to the THREE network's 4.4.2 firmware (I9505XXUGNJ3) but unfortunately this didn't unlock it.
I have also tried a few Custom Roms and have rooted the device but don't really know where to go from here.
I have seen a few people mentioning that it can be done using *#0011# and a few other key codes but these don't work either.
When I try to get to the service menu (Hit Back then key input 1 then Back again) it does nothing.
Can anyone suggest what my next step would be? I'm more than happy to root or flash Roms or what ever it takes to get it unlocked.
I've searched the forums high and low but can't seem to find anything that relates to my situation.
Thanks,
S.
Uh, the EU legally forbid SIMlocks in 2003. There shouldn't be a SIMlock. That's very odd.
This really should be in the relevant thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282683

Many thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure if it is a SIM lock. More like a network lock. When the phone is turned on with a Non-EE SIM inserted, this message comes up:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The post you linked me to doesnt seem to work - I have tried the menu options many times but I think the service menu's must have been removed from 4.4.2 or I am doing something wrong.
Is there a way to simply unlock the phone so it will accept a SIM card from any Network?
Thanks again,
S
Changing ROMs won't do anything. Carrier locking is contained in a different part of the phone's firmware.
Contact EE and tell them you need an unlock code.

rest factory , Hard rest and soft rest all these steps I done it ,but the problem doesn't disappear.
What should I do to fix my phone?
"this will help us to improve our product"... Jajajaja
Those reports must be going to a spam folder in HTC's system because android 9 has a lot of bugs to fix and here we are, waiting for an update to fix them (update that never will come)

How do you forget to enter the last character every time you entered the code? Why didn't you correct yourself after entering it wrong the first time?
