You see, my boyfriend has a Sony Xperia M2 and recently I rooted it so that he could enjoy the possibilities that has being superuser. I changed the stock ROM for other of the many ROMs that exist in XDA, but I saw no Marshmallow ROMs based. And I wonder, is there any specific reason why this phone has no ROMs with Marshmallow? Otherwise, why there is still hasn't? Could I port some, if it's not very difficult?

There are MM roms here, but they are not stable (No camera, Battery Drain, etc).

La razón por la que no hay ROMs 'estables' basadas en MM es porque Sony no ha liberado ninguna ROM basada en dicho sistema operativo. Sin embargo, como comenta PauloHHB, si que existen ROMs como CyanogenMOD, o Omni 6.0, que están basadas en Marshmallow, pero en ninguna de ellas funciona por ejemplo la cámara, o van mal en general... Las ultimas que ha ido sacando el desarrollador erikcas pueden llegar incluso a dar crasheos momentáneos, reiniciando el móvil al completo.
Por otro lado, a pesar de no estar basada en MM, te recomiendo que eches un vistazo a las ROMs deodexadas de Gaurav y a Xperia Z5 STYLE, pues son las únicas ROMs estables (ideales para el día a día) hasta la fecha, ya que funciona todo en ellas.

However, as PauloHHB mentioned, there are other custom ROMs such as Cyanogen, or Omni 6.0, which are based on Marshmallow, but they're not intended for daily use as of right now, like for example, in none of them the camera works... And, the last releases of Omni 6.0, by developer erikcas, may even give you momentary crashes, completely restarting the phone while doing certain tasks.
On the other hand, although not based on MM, I recommend you take a look at the Gaurav's deodexed ROMs, and Xperia Z5 STYLE, as they are the only 'stable' ROMs (ideal for daily use) as of right now.

Sorry for answering so late, I'm busy with school.
Regarding of the ROMS, now my boyfriend is using the ROM 'XPERIA Z5 STYLE' and he's very happy with it (the only fault he founded is that when you take a picture and then take another, the old one is deleted, but I guess that may be because he's using a MicroSD of 128 GB or maybe if he updated the ROM occasionally It would be corrected, he never does), but would like to try Marshmallow.
It's a shame that there weren't stable enough Marshmallow-based ROMs, and that's not only happening with the Xperia M2. I'm currently using an HTC One M7 and the truth is that, although there are many ROMs based on Marshmallow, currently none are free of bugs (the camera doesn't work in any ROM and developers are desperate). I think the development of Marshmallow is being horrible in many devices.

Respecto a las ROMS, actualmente mi novio está utilizando la ROM 'XPERIA Z5 STYLE' y está muy feliz con ella (el único fallo que le ha encontrado es que cuando hace una foto y seguidamente hace otra, la anterior se borra, pero supongo que eso puede deberse a que está utilizando una MicroSD de 128 GB o puede que si actualizase la ROM de vez en cuando se corregiría, que él no lo hace nunca), pero le gustaría probar Marshmallow.
Es una pena que no haya ROMs lo suficientemente estables, y esto no solo ocurre con el Xperia M2. Actualmente estoy usando un HTC One M7 y la verdad es que, a pesar de que hay muchísimas ROMs basadas en Marshmallow, actualmente ninguna está libre de fallos (la cámara no funciona en ninguna ROM y los desarrolladores están desesperados). Creo que el desarrollo de Marshmallow está siendo horrible en muchísimos dispositivos.

Lo mejor para tí es cambiar el touchscreen, por alrededor de 15 dólares cuesta aquí en México, no sé de dónde escribas. Lo que sugiere mbarvian es que pongas un archivo en la SD llamado welcome.not y arranques, la verdad no sé si funcione.

Esta rom es como si fura una OTA, esta creada desde 0 con el código fuente y no tiene nada de nadie.
Eclair no es por ahora tan rápido como lo puede ser la CSDI ya que no está tan depurada en velocidad, pero tiempo al tiempo que todo se andará.
Recomiendo WIPE desde esta versíón ya que si venis de la CSDI todo cambia, además no he probado si los backups del supSetup funcionan en Eclair.
El de aplicaciones no creo que haya problemas, los especificos no lo se.
Cuando os pida pin esperar un par de minutos sin hacer nada, luego poner pin y configurar la cuenta.
Ahora es posible configurar la cuenta desde el principio sin cargo ya que desactivo en arranque la itinerancia de datos y no se conecta por red 3g al arrancar la primera vez. Ahora es posible en la propia configuración activar el wifi desde el comienzo y el setupwizard os irá preguntando, hacerlo tranquilamente sin prisas.
Notareis que se ralentiza al entrar al escritorio y es porque esta actualizando las cuentas y demas, una vez acabe reiniciarla y al par de horas vereis como empieza a ir la rom fluida, ya que va generando poco a poco los dex que se le va pidiendo desde el sistema.
Ademas os tengo que avisar que Eclair acaba de empezar y no vengais diciendo que si este programa no va o tal, porque habrá que esperar como siempre que los desarrolladores se pongan al dia, igual que yo que he tenido que adaptar un poco el SupSetup.

This rom is like an oficial update, it has been created from zero from the source code ( i think he means the 2.1 sdk) and has no code from anyone.
Eclair no es por ahora tan rápido como lo puede ser la CSDI ya que no está tan depurada en velocidad, pero tiempo al tiempo que todo se andará.
Eclair isnt as fast as it can be the CSDI (His last 1.6 rom that IMO is the best Donut rom i have ever use) because it isnt so debugged in speed, but give time to time, everything will come.
Recomiendo WIPE desde esta versíón ya que si venis de la CSDI todo cambia, además no he probado si los backups del supSetup funcionan en Eclair.
El de aplicaciones no creo que haya problemas, los especificos no lo se.
I Recommend to wipe because everything change if you come from CSDI (or anything else), also i havent tryed yet supSetup backups to work with Eclair.
I think there wont be any problem with spps backup, anything else i dont know(supSetup is a program made by him and tolemac to tweak android functions like overclock, apps2sd, swap.... that also lets you backup diferent config parts like contacts, apps, bookmarks etc)

You will notice that when you enter to desktop its a bit slow, its because its syncing, when its done reboot and after a couple hours you will see that the rom starts to run smooth, because its generating the dex you request on the way from system

Sounds crazy but works and would result in a better rom.

I would like to share some information about a new smartphone's company in my country, Chile, called "Öwn" (www.own.cl), and discuss about TCT Mobile exporting "Alcatel" devices with local brands.
About the Öwn smartphones. Entel PCS carrier began to sell them arround a month ago. And have made a pretty good success because they are incredibly good compared with other similarly priced devices. For example, one of the three available models, the s3010 have the same price as the Samsung Galaxy Pocket or the LG L3; but it counts with 1.3Ghz dualcore, 4gb internal storage, 4.2.2 ROM, 720p media playing, 1.3Mp front camera, etc. Of course more sofisticated hardware specs are not much better (starting by the 3mp rear camera, or the touch sensitivity). But anyway, this is not common in our country, I don't know in other countries. So I started looking around the internet to find out were they came from; first clue: copyrights in the user manual. TCT Mobile.
That lead me to Alcatel, and then finding that the Öwn s3010 has really similar specs (and exactly same external shape and colors) than Altacel 4033(d/e/...) devices; i.e. Alcatel Magic, Alcatel POP C3, etc... So, I wanted to share the correspondent models for these three smartphones (hopely useful for other chilean users); and ask you people if this is common, I mean that a company as TCT Mobile export devices with different brands. It worth to say that Alcatel does have other smartphones being sold in Chile, so why don't sell de POP C3, Star, or Idol Ultra by themselves? Hope you comment.

Quisiera compartir con ustedes información sobre una nueva compañía de smartphones en mi país, Chile, llamada Öwn (www.own.cl), y aprovechar de discutir acerca del hecho de que TCT Mobile esté exportando sus equipos Alcatel con una marca local (o quizas varias en el mundo)
Acerca de los smartphones Öwn, la compañía de telefonía Entel PCS comenzó a venderlos alrededor de un mes atras. I han tenido bastante éxito pues los dispositivos son increiblemente buenos comparados con otros de similar precio. Por ejemplo, uno de los tres teléfonos disponibles, el Öwn s3010, está a casi el mismo precio que un Samsung Galaxy Pocket o un LG L3; pero cuenta con un procesador doble núcleo de 1.3Ghz, almacenamiento interno de 4gb, sistema operativo 4.2.2, reproducción de video en 720p, cámara frontal de 1.3mp, y otros. Por supuesto, características de hardware más sofisticadas no superan a sus pares de precio (comenzando por la cámara principal de 3mp, o la sensibilidad touch). Pero de todas maneras, esto no es común en nuestro país; no lo sé en otros países. Por lo cual comencé a buscar en internet para averiguar de dónde venían; primera pista: los derechos de copia en el manual de usuario. TCT Mobile.
Eso me llevó a Alcatel, y luego a encontrar que el mencionado Öwn s3010 tenía características realmente similares (y exactamente la misma forma) que los equipos Alcatel 4033(d/e/...); es decir Alcatel OT Magic, AOT POP C3, etc... Entonces, quise compartir los modelos correspondientes para estos 3 smartphones (ojalá sea útil para usuarios chilenos); y preguntarle a quien se anime a discutir si es que esto es común, quiero decir que una compañía como TCT Mobile exporte sus dispositivos con marcas diferentes. Vale decir que Alcatel tiene otros smartphones en el mercado chileno, entonces ¿por qué no vender ellos mismos el POP C3, el Star, o el Idol Ultra? Ojalá comenten.

soy chileno en realidad es bastante bueno y barato el celular pero quisiera saber si habrian roms disponibles para este celular o si se le pueden poner roms del alcatel one touch 4033x ojala encontremos alguna rom o solucion ya que ni siquiera los driver vienen en el celular y la pagina de www.own.cl no responden nada
cualquier cosa referente a este celular lo publicare espero estemos en contacto y encontremos a mas personas que nos ayuden con este problema
Root s3010
Buscando la pagina para hacerme fan en Facebook me encontre con la pagina de fan del OWN S3010 y alli aparece como rootear este equipo, las instrucciones son:
Rootear OWN S3010
1°. Descargar el archivo de Mega.
2°. Pasarlo a nuestro dispositivo .
3°. Instalar la apk.
4°. Abrir y seleccionar la primera opción (Boromir)
5°. Reiniciar el teléfono.
Es framaroot 1.9.0 yo ya lo tengo rooteado seria bueno que empezaramos a buscar ROM's compatibles.
Tengo un alcatel pop c3
Soy de El Salvador y tengo un alcatel pop c3, tambien he conseguido rootearlo con framaroot, aun no he conseguido ninguna rom, probe con modificar la rom de fabrica usando xposed framework pero el movil se brickea al reiniciarlo. Si alguien tiene el mismo movil podemos compartir ideas.

Esta bien, yo te busco.
Interesante, hace poco me cambie al own s4010, es un dispositivo muy bueno. tiene buena velocidad y como tiene chipset MTK, ya hay herramientas que lo soportan como MTKdroidtools.
Esto es lo que he logrado hasta ahora con el
-Root
-Cambiar el tema celeste (una basura), por el tema black, de la misma forma que los onetouch
-Instalar Xposed framework
-Instalar CWM
-ADB shell en windows 7, en estado normal y recovery
Algunas cosas que tambien he notado del dispositivo
-Cambiar el tema provoca FC al tener contraseña por patron
-El tema original tiene algunos conflictos con algunos modulos de Xposed
-Los recovery de onetouch 6010x (star) no funcionan con este dispositivo
-Mobileuncle tools lo detecta como "alcatel onetouch star"
-Los temas extras de onetouch como el "Premium" (o gold), ya no estan en el OWN S4010
-La carpeta Custpack, como en los otros onetouch, no se respaldan con CWM

Well, I don't really wanted to revive the thread, but I've been struggling with my S4025, trying to install CM on it, but I've been running with problems all this time. I got it rooted and everything, but I can't install Cyanogen. I've tried with ROM Manager, fastboot, etc. And nothing is working. Does somebody here has the same model as me and managed to install another ROM in his phone, or has an idea of what I could do now? I really want a new ROM.
@TahOmegaFire If that is the 5.5 inch phone, then you should search for Alcatel One Touch Pop c9 guidelines. It's the same phone.

I don't know for sure, but as I said you should search for Alcatel Pop C9, it's the same phone.

No he visto ROMs que se hayan provado aun en el own s4025.
al menos rooteado y con Themer, se ve decente.
Yo soy de El Salvador y tengo el Alcatel Pop C3 (4033A) y quería saber sí alguno ha logrado instalar una rom de KitKat funcional, por que revisando en la web he encontrado algunas pero tienen problemas serios como que no permite hacer llamadas. Si alguno ha logrado instalar una rom de KitKat tal vez pueda publicar como lo hizo, gracias.

I'm from El Salvador and I have the Alcatel Pop C3 (4033A) and I want to know if anyone has managed to install a funtional KitKat rom, because surfing in the internet i have found some roms but they have serious problem such as they don't let you make calls. If anyone have managed to install a KitKat rom maybe you could post how you do, thanks.
