Occasionally I've noticed that the sounds that I have set in some of these apps revert back to default. Is anyone having this issue?

So I flashed Cyanogen Mod and I hated it. Unfortunately I forgot to do a backup of my stock rooted rom. So i flashed a clean install of the latest stock rooted rom. Now gmail notifications are driving me nuts. I remember that you were able to disable them before by simply going into settings within the Gmail app. Now this option is gone. I feel like such a noob.
I might as well through this question out as well. How on earth can I set handcent as my default texting app? Again, before flashing the new rom, this was also in the settings menu for the app but now I can't seem to find it and whenever I get a text I get two notifications. One from the stock texting app and another from handcent.
With hancent installed you have to disable notifications in the stock messaging app.

My text messages in handcent and the default messaging app don't even show up sometimes.

Over the last two months, I have not been receiving all of my text messages. In some cases, when I am looking at my phone, I see the message come in the status bar, but then it disappears and is not listed in any messaging app. I have uninstalled third party apps and have factory data reset my phone, but the issue randomly persists. Motorola had me put the phone in Safe Mode, but since this happens randomly, I cannot walk around with the phone for a week in Safe Mode. Has anyone else experienced this? Is their a fix?
By any chance... Are you using the SMS popup app? This app is causing some people to loose some texts.

No. I had been using Glowfly and NotifierPro, but uninstalled them. I lose messages even with no third party messaging apps installed.
Has anyone else experienced when trying to share something from 1 app to another that hangouts is the only option available? I've noticed this problem with Plume, Chrome, and a few other apps. When in the Pocket app, it works like it should though. This is the only bug I've notice with Hangouts. I'm rooted and have Xposed Framework with just Advanced Power Menu downloaded. I actually like using Hangouts despite some of the other problems I've heard about (but not experience). Wondering if there's something I can do to fix this.
Not a issue here. It is the first in my list but if I use the down arrow I can't fit all the options on my screen

So I'm in a strange situation. I was using the L preview and noticed I was not getting notifications for all of my hangouts. Sometimes I'd get a notification other times I'd open the app and see a bunch of missed messages.
I figured it must be because of the preview (even though I hadn't seen anyone else have the issue).
Flashed back to stock. Full stock image even relocked the boot loader.
But it's still happening. I'm not getting notifications. No sounds. No vibration. No icon in the status bar. No notifications in the shade.
Has anyone had this happen to them? Any ideas?
I've obviously already tried clearing the apps data. Changing notification sounds. Signing in and out.
I don't have cell service. I use my phone on WiFi only for the time being.

Solved it!
Solved this by going to apps in settings and clearing all data and cache from the app, then disdable an reenable the app.
After I logged in again it worked.
