[Q] Return to stock?? Root with out unlock??

Hey Guys, I am curious as to if this device can be returned to stock after rooting / unlocking. I'm also wondering if we can root it and flash custom recovery without unlocking the boot loader. Also, once you have changed roms can you go back to the stock rom and ASUS not know?

Not sure I understand your first question. Rooting and/or unlocking does not remove your stock rom...
And no, you must be unlocked to flash custom recovery . And no, it is not possible to relock, so ASUS will know your device has been unlocked,
hmm.

[Q] Official Android 6.0 after unlock and root.

Hi, there.
I came from a Samsung device, I'm used to flash the stock firmware when a official update was out then root the device again.
I have a brand new Moto G3, locked and unrooted. If I do the process of unlock the bootloader and rooted the device will I able to flash a stock firmware and receive the Android 6.0 once it is out?
Thanks in advance.
Yes, as long as you unroot before the update. I use SuperSU for my root and use the SuperSU app to fully unroot before I update.
Just reflash the stock rom and relock your bootloader. You would be able to receive all official updates from Motorola.

Is supersu works in unrooting
Just fully unroot and then flash the stock firmware, relocking doesn't matter. I'm looking at you @kaustubh_lipare.

What's the current status of the Pixel?

Hi all,
I unlocked the bootloader, rooted and dropped the purenexus 7.1.2 ROM on my Pixel back when it was all released. At the time people were saying that its about as good as its going to get and then when 8 came along ppl said a rooted Pixel can't be updated to the new OS while bootloader is unlocked and rooted.
Just wondering if someone can weigh in and tell me where we are currently at with Pixel in regards to rooting, bootloaders and OS updates? Can we have an unlocked bootloader, TWRP installed, rooted and run 8.1 with OTA updates now?

You can unlock your bootloader. TWRP and root your phone. You won't get OTA updates, but you can install them manually. Or unroot your phone.

If I was to unroot but keep the bootloader unlocked would OTA updates work again?
Is the old bootloader unlock still valid or do I need to lock it and unlock it using current methods?

Best way to hide unlocked bootloader?

I want to have a unlocked bootloader. Don't really need root. I'm guessing device still fails safety net if unlocked? Is custom kernel the easiest way or is there another method. Haven't played around for a year.

I'm not a custom kernel. Can you please guide on how to remove the unlocked bootloader message?

There is no way to remove it unless you keep the bootloader locked. Sorry man.
I unlocked my bootloader, rooted the device and then decided to re-flash stock since my work apps won't work saying it is rooted. Magisk would not really hide the root from the apps. I left the bootloader unlocked and I see no difference from before I unlocked it. I do not pretend to know anything about safety net

Lineage, e-foundation or smth like that?

Hey there!
Is there any possibility to get a degoogled custom ROM on that phone?
I just don't really understand the point of the thread about installing LOS in the thread below
Best regards
layla
is here nobody with a custom ROM and that phone??
You can't unlock the bootloader, so you can't install custom ROMs for P30

It seems to be just scam for money. As I understand, there is no possibility to unkock the bootloader till now, isn't it?
