So I had to flash stock ROM to fix the GPS issue in cm 12.1. But after I restored my twrp backup I realized that I lost my stock cm boot animation. So I'm looking for any boot animations that will work on my droid turbo. Anybody got any cool ones? Twrp flashable would be preferred but I could install them manually if someone gave me directions. Thanks.

This one is TWRP-flashable.
Here's the thread:
Google Bootanimation 60fps for all quark

Here's the actual download link:

It's the Google Lollipop animation, which I like better than Marshmallow.
Here's what it looks like:

Also in that thread I mention the black Motorola boot image, which I think goes very well with the boot animation:
Just found the boot animation section of the theme chooser. Is there an easy way to add downloaded flashable zips to this?

I have posted the original stock bootanimation file here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11658161&postcount=1272
I may be able to change the boot ROM animation of dexter? I can overwrite the original file on the other bootanimation.zip? I've seen around some boots animation and would like to do it through explorer root.
Someone? I have understood that the boot animation should be 480x854 for the XT720. Or is it possible to put one of 480x800?

I've used droid botanimations & I think they are 480 x 800 & yes you can do it with Root Explorer.
Thanks! I worried about leaving my phone only start with the Motorola logo.
I have made a theme for you all to enjoy.
It's my first attempt, so please be nice and honest with me.
Anyways, it's not too out there and flashy (I found the themes which are very colourful to be awfully annoying and so tried to keep it simple, but nice
Also enabled CRT Screen Off Animation.
Flash it through the recovery (Install zip from SD card) - Thanks FreeXperia

Would you allow me to use your theme in a custom system image?
Indeed, go for it
man i wanna use this theme =/ i hate not having root i wanna have a custom boot img lol
Nice!
Sorry to ask but I can just install this theme by flashing it in recovery mode? I won't lose any of my current data and stuffs right? Haha I'm new to the android scene.
Thanks in advance!
Yeah, it works better if you flash it through the recovery menu, just copy over the xip to your SD card, then go into recovery and say install zip from sd card, navigate to the zip, and install
Let me know what you think!
Please Read:
The Boot Animations were made for AOSP/CM based ROM's.
If you would like to run this on a TW based ROM there is some extra work you will have to do.
Post in here what ROM and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Weird, tried both black ones and neither works on slim rom for me. Tried both in data/local and system/media, with the correct permissions. I had just seen this animation on my jelly beans backup.
So weird though, used to change animations on my ns4g w/ slim all the time.

Hi Guys
I had an idea and make it works, in a simple and elegant way. I created a logo bootloader thay perfectly matches the boot animation's Android M for Moto X 2013.
I took to make a flasheable file .zip with the logo, boot animation and erase the boot animation which is usually in /data/local/moodle

I have been trying to change it but for some reason it isn't. I even used bootanimation app to change it but in vain.
There's a file called bootanimation.zip in /data/local/moodle in the root. Should I remove it and try again.
Sweet work. Just loved this animation and logo.
But i guess there should be something more in animation. Because it repeats several times. So if there will be any new element. It will be much more cooler than before.
And i am ready to test if you want.

Been searching for a way to change my boot animations, I came across an app that creates them but since Samsung doesn't use the file system/media/bootanimation.zip, I am not able to replace the boot animation. I tried using the mod bootanimations4u, but all that did was get rid of the installed boot animation. I know there has to be away because the rom that I am using has a custom boot animation. Any help is greatly appreciated
You have to change the qmg files.
