[ MOD-CWM FLASHABLE ZIP ] SWAP eMMC and EXTSD for Micromax Funbook

ONLY PROCEED IF U KNOW WHAT U R DOING.​File pulled from "Micromax FunBook running Ployer Momo9" Firmware,and modified by me.
This mod will allow u to interchange ur eMMC (by default internalstorage-2GB onboard) and EXTSD (external memory card),so that u can install large data games and many more.
Direct to installation point
1) Download "SWAP_SCRIPT_FOR_EXTSD_AND_SDCARD.zip" and reboot into recovery
2) Mount all available options in "Mounts and Storage" menu in CWM
[Important step,otherwise cwm will say the mod is successfully installed and u will not see the swap of the memories]
3) Flash the zip, reboot and enjoy.
To Revert the changes:
1) Download "RESTORE_SCRIPT_FOR_SDCARD_AND_EXTSD.zip" and reboot into recovery
2) Mount all available options in "Mounts and Storage" menu in CWM
[Important step,otherwise cwm will say the mod is successfully installed and u will not see the swap of the memories]
3) Flash the zip, reboot and enjoy.

Swapped successfully but after swapping my internal SD shows damaged..I have some useful data and this alternative didn't worked for me

I tried running it on HTC Chacha,as i am running CM9 on Micromax Funbook and HTC Chacha both,i tried installing it on Funbook,it was installed on the first time only..as for HTC Chacaha,i am getting error:installation aborted,please help me on that.

Problem- FB not detecting USB Cable
Have i done anything wrong?
I transferrred the script file in my external sd card.. followed ur instructions exaclty but still the memory is 1.83 gb.. i have a 8 gb card installed.
Another problem is that i cannot access my fb through usb now.. the option "turn on usb" does not pop up when i connect the usb..
Please help.. have i done something wrong?

I do have the same problem. I am using Kangbook for my FB and it is working awesome but the only problem i have got at the moment is my internal SD card is not getting detected, although its showing the capacity and free space, neither i am able to download any file from the internet nor i am getting an option for the FB to get detected for the USB Storage mode when i connect it to the PC on Windows or on Linux.

thank's working fine on my tab. i just copy the vold.fstab on my etc folder then restart and its working. no problem at all.

I can't get my SD card working, whenever i select choose zip from sd card,it shows can't mount sd card,also..earlier my sd card showed 29.84 GB something but now it is showing only 25 GB,where do rest 4GB go?

The ROM is stable and ready for daily use.

Bugs:
- Minor Network signal drops If you call someone and put the loud speaker on, the network will be lost. Also after a call, you need to wait at least 30 seconds before making a new one; else, network signal will be lost.
- FM Radio (common cm12 problem for mtk)
- USSD (only for some network providers).

Installation:
You need a Lollipop compatible custom recovery to install this ROM! I recommend one of my ported Custom recoveries such as this one http://www.needrom.com/download/philz-touch-for-ot-6042d-alcatel-onetouch-flash/
If you have that recovery, the follow these:
- Boot to recovery
- Wipe Options
- Wipe to install new ROM
- Install Zip from SD Card
- Choose the ROM file
- Install
- Reboot
- Go back and click "Thanks"
DON'T ASK WHY THE ROM DOES NOT BOOT OR INSTALL IF YOU USE CWM RECOVERY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
For porters:
If you want to port my ROM, all I ask is "Proper credits".
Troubleshooting:
- If you don't like the softkeys (onscreen naviguation bars), you can disable them in build.prop by removing this line: qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 If such line doesn't exist, add it and set value to 1 i.e qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
- If your camera, Wi-Fi, Audio or RIL doesn't work, please enable "Developer Options", then go to developer options in settings; now enable "Advanced Reboot Menu". Now, just do a "Hot Reboot". Everything should work. If problem persists, comment below.
- If you have Alcatel Flash and you are stuck at "Android is starting", make sure you have got a working SD Card in the SD slot. If error still occurs, repartition your Internal storage so that you get at least 1GB System partition. Search Google for that. ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST IF YOU REPARTITION !!!.
- If fonts look smaller for you, edit build.prop file and find this line: ro.sf.lcd_density and set value to 320. Reboot.

i use this rom..and this list of bug i have found:
1. null imei (backup your imei/NVRAM via mtk droid tools on stock rom, then restore )
2. sometimes the device restart itself
3. charging off icon not working, if you charge your devices while device is of, it's only show a cm logo
4. hotspot cannot detected in any devices
anyone can fix this bug? help..

What part didn't you understand in "I don't have the device anymore" ?

no signal issue
I have flashed this ROM however my sim is not getting recognized in india. Please help me in fixing up this issue. I copied the system, etc and firmware folders from existing ROM and replaced in cynogenmod ROM by using windows explorer and ziped the ROM by using 7zip, but I couldn't flash the modified version of cynogen mode- do I need to set up any tool. Please assist.

I have unknown baseband and invalid IMEI. Can you tell me the the stock base you used for this rom and provide download links if you can. I encountered similar problems on a device before and changing the stock base solved the problem.

Restore NVRAM. Seach google

already tried multiple times with MTK Droid Tools. Didn't work. I switched to a TCL S720 Base and that fixed it.
Its times like this that remind me very clearly why I hate MediaTek Devices.

nope.didnt have that issue (used sd card as default ).

@rejul, Yes, i did. Okey, this's the new situation, Rej. I follow what you did with, flash SDdefault.zip. (before that, I did copy my IMEI to sd_eksternal.) And I restore it with mobileUncleTools, it's work! My phone able to recieved call now. At least. But the problem still exist. Where's my "real" internal phone storage? I can't see it anywhere. It's not mounted. I have a limited space right now.

use chamelephone, you can download it on playstore. it will generate new imie for you or you can input your original imie. this is only temporary fix, it will erase your imie again everytime you flash new rom.

Phone storage not showing up
I got the same storage issue. I used the SDCARD DEFAULT but the phone storage is not showing up. Do I need to reflash stock and flash this again?
Also, can we do system update OTA?

actually developer is trying to fix it.but he broke his pc .please wait until pc get fixed. he already send to service will be back soon

I found another bug on may way home. I plugged in my headset, then the system ui stopped. Does it work for you?

I found a different Cyanogenmod 12.1 rom and its flawless. Thanks for the support Rej.

Are you instalI the Dolby Atmos? I think it's the problem. Tried not to install it.

 @rejul and guys, I found this problem about emulated internal storage (sdcard0 is missing). But I still doesn't know how to fix it. CM 12.1 basically create it's own "0" folder everytime it install. And that makes TWRP "sdcard" read this emulated folder and considering it as "internal storage" because it's labelled as "0" folder. That's why the real internal storage are hidden and become emulated. And no matter how many times we reinstall it. It's still same.
I might be wrong. Do anyone realize this? Some solution I have found, somebody suggested to format the Internal Storage, but I'm not sure. Because I think the problem it's not in the internal storage, but in the way CM 12.1 install it self.

I'm getting network drop issue sometimes. Once it start, whatever number i dial, network drops. Then i have to reinstall the ROM. This is the only bug i'm facing. Please give some solution...

How much internal memory does it have? 5gb like the stock (or Miui) rom?

Well... I'm having a bootloop too... :| :| .Wiped everything then installed it fresh. It doesn't work ... (installed with latest TWRP)

After I test it. I encountered one bug. When I plugged-in the USB Cable it allows me to choose among Camera, MTP, USB Debugging and Charging Only.
When I clicked the Charging Only, the next time you plugin your USB again you won't find the other options again like Camera, MTP, USB Debugging.
I tried to click the kernel version to access the USB Debugging mode but no lock.
I'm still looking for a way to fix this problem.

I just wanted to thank the guy who made this custom rom for lenovo a536 and this is my first flashed rom (btw i am 16 and it took me almost 4 hours to figure everything out and solve the problems), cheers , keep it updated as long as posible :fingers-crossed::good:

One recommendation, in HOW TO, add clearer explain for installing. I had understood like i need to flash all zips from once, without restarting. This was causing a bootloop first time. Then i had formated /cache, dalvik, /system and /data and install it again. After every zip i had formated dalvik cache. And it turns on!!

I have question , why if I shutdown the phone and turn in on again my Imei lose and sim card not detected and if I reboot everything is work again?

Well guys, after a two month of usage, i can say it's pretty good. Everything works good and no major bugs. But there is few issues:
- Youtube app:
Youtube app doesn't working good. It really laggy and sound is going faster than video, also video stucks on some part of clip. I tried to unistall it and to delete datas.
- Battery:
When phone shutdowns by battery empty state, there is no valid changing animation. Only battery with the bolt, and no procent. Btw., i can't even turn phone on while it's not changed for 3%. That can take to 10 minutes... But that is not issue for this ROM only, there is that on stock also. Else, battery keeps about day, day and half.
- Signal on wakeup:
When phone shutdowns, and when i turn it on after changing, there is no signal, SIM card is not registered. I need to reboot it again to get it work. This is happens everytime.
- Mobile data:
this nervous me the most... I turn it on, and after 1-2-3 minutes, it's turns off automatically. Doesn't matter what i do.

Proximity Sensor
sadly no fix found yet, use sensor disabler(Xposed Module) to disable proximity.

INSTRUCTIONS​
I recommend using Philz recovery
Place the downloaded file in internal storage.
Boot into recovery , Philz or TWRP.
Goto Wipe and Format option(Philz)
press clean to install a new rom, before that take a backup first.
Just to be safe(optional) Goto mount/storage and format system , data, cache.
After that flash the downloaded file.
After flashing immediately flash gapps(very important) to prevent force close.
Due to the new permission management system in Marshmallow u will face problems if u dont flash gapps right after flashing the rom.
reboot. enjoy

how much free ram after installation?
Did someone successfully downgrade from Temasek to stock 4.4.2? What image did you use for downgrading? What's the procedure?

400+ free ram..... Yes you can downgrade to stock.
You will need your a290.img ofcourse......
There are guide given to flash stock ROM through recovery or through windows flash tool. Google it!

I can't root my rom after flashing this rom plz help..

any patched or radio files are available for proximity sensors???

i have bugs
I somehow able to root my device.
While when I'm checking if everything is fine I found out that I cannot change bw 3g and 2g in sim networks also the mobile data is not working.a exclamation marks appear attach to the mobile network icon in status bar ....
But I can't connect to net even I have mobile data in my phone.
Plzzz help ............any suggestions etc about those two problems......

Flash root via philz recovery in advanced >re-root system after that install SuperSU from play store, or you can download latest SuperSu.zip from XDA , flash it then install SuperSU app.
Open the su app and let it update the binary after that reboot.

Proximity is not a port problem its source problem... No actual development are there for a290.

Hi you can switch 2g/3g from settings>system profile >choose the current profile and in there go to preferred network type. Mobile data network works fine for me here , just reset the ROM again and it will work just fine if the problem presist.

I was able to root and found that network change option but after changing it to 2g, settings are unfortunately stopped and now I can't access the system profile.everytime I get in system profile in current profile option it closes .how to change default storage to sd card and WiFi also drops every 10 to 15 mins for no reason .Why notification led keeps on when battery is low I mean in KitKat its not continuous on it goes on and off and on and off like this....and imp. thing is that it taking too long to full charge even I m using a 2 ampere output charger.also can't connect to pc via mtp.it didn't working...
Plz help regarding these issues....

I'm using Samsung Evo plus 32 gb. Every time I format it as internal it ended up as corrupted sd . I tried many times.everytime corrupts and shows some Java error.plz help....

Try clearing data of settings and try again, I have not faced this problem at all. I have not tried about changing the default storage but you have to format the sdcard first so that u can use sdacrd as default storage, try googling "marshmallow default storage". For WiFi It must be bug , I think.
Are there no options on turning the led off on settings> display or Temaske setting menu ? There may have an option on turning the led from blinking.
Charging works fine on my default micromax charger.
