I just updated to the newest ota cos 13 for my opo. And now It seems to endlessly switch between no network, no data, h, and h+. Its killing my battery, and trying the fixes for previous versions of cos seem to do nothing. I am also in known areas where I usually have full LTE coverage.
Can anyone help me? And what info is needed.
update:
Issue was fixed by modifying the APN address from fast.tmobile.com to fast.metropcs.com. then I was able to see more APN options and chose metropcs LTE ipv6. Works great now.

hi,
I'm on day 2 of trying to sort out my wife's new Captivate, so would appreciate any help at all. Phone is rooted, unlocked and has decent signal, but I cannot connect to 3g.
I'm on Optus network via TPG (Aussie network). I've tried many APN settings, and I'm at the point where I don't think this is the issue (yes, I know this is normally the issue).
I tried going into *#*#4696#*#* and doing WCDMA preferred, and WCDMA only, made sure AUS radio band was selected and did 'Enable data'.... also no help
I've also made sure data is enabled on the sim/account. If I insert the sim into another phone, it works with 3G. So it's something to do with the phone for sure.
Optus' 3g info says "2100MHz frequency band. Enabled with High Speed Packet Access technology (HSPA)". So WCDMA is the correct setting I think.
To be clear, I've never gotted the little 3G symbol at all (or an 'H' symbol that I've seen someone mention). I first tried emulating my own Vibrant's settings exactly, which didn't help.
Any ideas would be great.
thanks.
I'm completely out of options ... is there a chance this is an issue with bad contacts? I fixed my Vibrant's GPS by prying up one of the contacts...
All fixed. If anyone else has this trouble - flash back to stock, following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884364
Note - I already had stock, so no idea what the hell was going on, but whatever.
I just updated to the 9/7 official nightly and messed with some settings (trying to get mms working).
Right now, if I set myself into 3g mode, I don't get any data. 4g still works.
I was doing the old mms fix where I changed the CDMA subscription to NV from RUIM/SIM and back. I still have a phone number and an IMEI, but if I switch to CDMA mode, no data.
I prefer to use 3g for battery savings, and also, I don't always get 4g coverage, so it would be nice to fix. Any ideas?
I'm not sure if it was the flash or the messing-around that caused the problem because right after flashing I was on WiFi and didn't notice if 3g still worked.
Hi, I have the Wifi + 3G version of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5110 and experiencing problems with the signal changing.
I connect to a website called Salesforce and whenever I input data my connection drops, I have noticed at the top the signal is constantly changing between 3G, H and H+ every 3 seconds. When connecting to this website through Wifi I have no problem.
I have changed options to just use 3G only but this still switches between the 3 network variances.
I have tried putting another web browser onto the tab and this had no effect.
I have double checked and triple checked the APN settings, deleted APNs, created new APNs and no luck.
I have also contacted my mobile data provider to see if they and just give me 3g access and no H or H+ but thats impossible on there side of things.
I currently have samsung stock 4.0.4 android software installed on the tablet.
Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this issue with the signal switching all the time?
This happened with me when i was in a place with bad coverage or inside a building. It cant maintain a stable connection so it switches to another.
When i got out of the building or moved to a place with better coverage the connection became stable at H+.
Hope this helps.
Also, if your tab is not locked to a provider try another provider.
This started just yesterday and I have no idea what triggered it. I was using an older CM11 nightly (4.04.14) so I updated to 4.15.14 but i had the same issue. I've since tried a couple other CM nightlies including a milestone release.
I've also tried changing my mobile network settings but they seem to have no effect.
Data is enabled, roaming is disabled
The Preferred Network mode is CDMA+LTE/EVDO
CDMA Raoming Mode is on Home Only
CDMA Subscription is RUIM/SIM
On the APN nothing is selected, how ever selecting them has no effect on anything (as far as my research tells me).
Occasionally I'll get a couple bars of service for a very short period of time, no 3/4G, and I'll recieve texts, email, etc. And of course the areas I'm in usually has service, it's nothing dumb like that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah I can only assume this is a bug with CM and their unifying all d2lte variants, what I've gotten to fix mine is choosing WCDMA preferred, changing CDMA sub to the other one, crashing the settings (I'm on PAC, not sure if you can do that) then popping it back up, APN will be usable, selecting Verizon internet and then hitting each setting in the network operators menu a few time, LTE comes back, hope that helps a little.
So I was trying a trick that user greatlands posted on the Oneplus forums about being able to boost your LTE speeds by changing what the radio searches for. This was through the *#*#4636#*#* phone info area and selecting the radio bands. Good news is i've never seen speeds like this before. the bad news is that i fiddled with it some more and now i dont have roaming data. I didnt have MMS either though LTE anymore but that was fixed by using hangouts sadly. I switched from davlik to ART runtime then back to Davlik, but nothing seems to work with the Roaming Data.
I've included some screens of the pertinent settings and maybe you can help me.
In the screenshots Andriod tuner says that i'm connected to roaming but have no data connection.
I included the Speed test pic to show there is external IP, but no internal IP. is that normal?
Also included my APNs. Should there be that many? it seems excessive.
The reason why roaming data is important to me is that i work on a riverboat and am in the boonies most of the time, or some small city with roaming. i can do wifi on the boat but to do picture messages i need roaming. Please help.
