Bricked my Asus TF701t? - Asus Transformer TF700

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this message but I think I bricked my Asus Transformer TF701t.
When I tried to reinstall the CDROMIX Custom ROM it did not work, it said it was finished in less then 5 seconds and when I rebooted it went back to the recovery mode and when I selected Android of course it did not boot so I rebooted and selected the RCK Icon and it booted into TWRP custom recovery mode is and then I accidentally selected and older TWRP and flashed it to that and when I tried to go back to what I thought was the newest version of TWRP I had it now will not boot into TWRP it just hangs after I select the RCK Icon and NO I DID NOT Ever select Wipe Data from the ICON after putting it in Recovery Mode that you get by holding down the vol down or left side of the volume rocker, I always used the TWRP Wipe Data method.
How do I start over from scratch if I can't boot the tablet to put it in USB debugging mode or check whatever Asus recovery mode I have?

This is not the correct forum. You are in the TF700 section, not the TF701.
Your post makes me fear that you flashed a TF700 recovery to your tablet since there is only one TWRP version for the TF701.....
Can you still boot into fastboot (to the screen with the 3 icons)?

Yes I can still boot into fast boot if that is the screen with the 3 Icons the Green RCK the Green Android Icon and the Wipe Data Icon with the white box with the arrow pointing out of it and I NEVER Used the Wipe Data ICON only the Wipe data option from within TWRP.
I assume it is the Fast Boot Screen because it says Fast Boot at the top of the screen.
How do I get to the TF701t Forum?

Enter TF701 in the search box at the top of the page. That's in a bowser...
There's a KANG TWRP thread in Development and another for the CWM recovery. Those are the only recoveries for the 701. Or the only ones I would trust....
Mention me and we can discuss it further over there

Cold boot loop, Power + Volume Up dead

TF shutdown by itself and then entered into boot loop.
There used to be CWM on it but the last ICS update broke it and there was no one around to fix neither CWM nor restore root.
Just half an hour ago, before I came to check forums here, TF responded to both volume + power up and power down buttons and I've seen both broken recovery and "wipe" screens.
Now Power Up doesn't do anything and Power Down goes into cold boot that subsequently loops after reaching unlock screen.
I see there's a nandroid back up in CWM folder on sd card created back in March as well as Titanium Backup folder dated April.
What are my options here? I have only a vague idea what Nvflash does so need a general outline before I start reading up on details.
cold-boot into android and reflash working CWM with one of the one-click tools in the general section, or use an Nvflash tool in the Development section to Nvflash rouge recovery, which will let you get back up and running. Don't use ROM manager.
Plugged TF into USB and suddenly got Power + Volume Down to boot into CWM recovery again instead of cold boot, from there got into wipe menu and now TF is back, waiting to sync all the apps now.
Thing O Doom, thanks for advice but cold boot was impossible - it went into boot loop immediately after reaching unlock screen.
I understand CWM changed original button configuration, Volume Down was supposed to be cold boot but with CWM it's recovery, and Volume Up that was original recovery now does nothing?
Is that correct?
Then broken CWM refused to enter into recovery but magically came back after connecting to the computer.
Odd, mabye you did the sequence differently, but it's good that it's working properly now.
I don't know how it works exactly, but I understand, using PC analogy, that CWM is like a separate partition and certain button configuration tries to boot the system from it, and it also has it's own boot menu where I could choose to proceed with CWM or go to the screen with the original "wipe" menu.
Right now booting CWM itself is not possible but its own boot menu is still there, it just leads to broken Android with a red exclamation mark (or to the "wipe", of course).
I don't think I want to keep CWM anymore, just root with Titanium Backup, so one more question - how to properly uninstall CWM?

[Q] Fix TF stuck on Asus boot screen?

Couple of days ago I opened up my TF and saw it was stuck on the bootup screen. Since then I have tried multiple times to format /system and do a factory restore in CWM and tried reflashing EOS JB and RaymanFX JB. Both times the TF boots so it shows the blue bar on boot sliding across to show it updated and then dies and reboots and gets stuck on the bootup screen. Is there a way to fix this?
And the loading screen I'm talking about is the one that says eee pad in cursive and "Powered by Nvidea Tegra" on the bottom.
Thanks.
did you flash kernal from RaymanFX
If you are ready flash kernal just go back CWR and selected "Boot recovery" in misc menu
waiting little bit long in the first time but it'll be login successful, it's my experience ^^
note: and flash google app too "gapp"

Isn't the kernel built into the ROM? I guess I will give that a try.
It is better to clean isntall.
Format /data etc.
then isntlal the rom
or download Super Wipe Full form ARHD: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245892
good luck :]
Do not use super wipe...
Install twrp 2.2.1(recovery)
Use that recovery to wipe internal memory, cache, dalvik and everything else..
Now do a fresh installation of CM10 or eos jb... mind u cm10 gives better audio then eos and cm10 has kernel inbuilt which is better than eos kernel...
Sent from my Transformer using xda app-developers app
Basically wiped and formatted everything and downloading CM10 right now. Hopefully this will work.
Tablet has booted into CM and everything seems to be working again. Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum!
Are you rooted, or are you still stock?
If you are rooted, what recovery are you running?
If you are stock, I would try flashing the latest (.27) firmware for your version (SKU). Download from the Asus support site, unzip it ONCE (it will still be a zip) and put that on a microSD formatted for FAT32. Then hold VOL DOWN and POWER until you see the small white text. Release both buttons and hit VOL UP to enter RCK (recovery) to trigger the flash of the stock firmware.

[Q] Recovery mode hangs

When booting into recovery mode, the system hangs.
(It can boot normal without a problem)
The device had JB without root, so did the following:
1. Installed the ASUS bootloader unlock utility
2. Installed TWRP 2.3.1.0
3. Installed CleanROM 2.4
Now, when booting into recovery mode:
Via the shut-down menu, the system reboots into the white ASUS logo screen and hangs
Via power+volume Up, and selecting the [RCK] icon, the system hangs (the top left of the screen says "Booting Recovery kernel image")
I'm guessing the system is looking for a ROM file and simply can't find it.
Do you guys ROM experts know what I did wrong and what the fix might be?
After reinstalling TWRP - Recovery mode is working again!
I'll leave this post up in case it happens to anyone else.

Installing custom recovery (CM12.1, 5.1.1.)

XDA,
I am trying to root the stock rom (Cyanogen OS 12.10YOG4PAS1N0). I have thus far managed to unlock the bootloader and am now trying to install a custom recovery - here I run into some problems:
So I downloaded the latest TWRP and renamed it recovery.img - pressed 'fastboot erase recovery' and then 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' -all going fine.
I then unhook the phone, turn it off - press volume down and the power button to boot straight into recovery (not even booting OS) and here's where it gets interesting:
The 1+ logo appears, as if its trying to boot recovery - it hangs for 10s, then the screen goes black and it vibrates. The 1+ logo appears again and it boots straight into OS.
If I keep pressing volume down I am in a loop like this, with 1+ logo, screen black and so on.
So I never actually get into the custom recovery. And if I boot into the OS and press restart into recovery: I get stock recovery.
I've tried CWM. TWRP, Philz, the toolkit, manually - lots of things. I turned off overwrite custom recovery in the developer options - all to no avail.
I hope someone recognizes this problem and can help me out.
Thanks a million,
Michiel.
Not sure if this is your issue, but go to this thread on how to unlock bootloader, install custom recovery and root. See the note in underline at the bottom of item #2, installing the custom recovery. I was unable to get TWRP to stick until I followed this simple method.
Yes, I tried this but when I power the phone down and boot it with the powerbutton and volume button - it hangs on the OPO logo and reboots again into the OS.

Need help flashing Katkiss 6.0.1 , Recovery Partition Not Found / Nothings Working

So, I just decided to try and Flash the old TF101 with Katkiss 6.0.1 and Gapps, but I always get stuck on the same problem.
My TF101 is running Android 4.0.3 ICS and USB Debugging is on
I downloaded TWRP app on the transformer, as well as the latest .blob flash file through the app.
Before this, I rooted the tablet using Kingroot.apk, which worked. When I went to flash the tablet with the recovery, the app noted "Recovery Partition not found".
I tried to boot into recovery mode on my own, (Pressing Pwr + Volume down , Then hitting Volume Up), The android screen popped, up and then flashed to a fallen android with a red triangle.... The screen stays on this for a minute and then boots into the normal system. I can't even boot into recovery through ADB, using the
Code:
adb reboot recovery
, The tablet will just reboot normally, not into recovery mode.
The Device does recognize through ADB....
Is my recovery partition just non existent? Even when I just let the system though without pressing volume up, it only gives me the option of (Android) or (Erase Data). when I click erase data, ill stay on the asus loading screen indefinitely and nothing will happen until i turn it off and on.
I just cant seem to boot into TWRP for some reason, and that means I just cant install the downloaded custom ROM.
How Can I fix this and boot into TWRP? I've tried for hours and have been hung up due to the same problem each time, even after rooting.
Did you already solve that problem? I also need a solution. Thanks
