Why would you reach out to the power button every time you want to glance at the time?
this app saves you this daily effort by showing an elegant clock that gives your phone a nice, customizable look, when the screen is turned off!
This app works best with AMOLED displays since only a portion of the display works which means that it doesn't drain your battery.
To know what's your device's screen technology, follow this link and search for your phone:
http://www.phonearena.com/phones
This app was inspired by the Always On feature of Samsung's new Galaxy S7 and the new LG G5.
You have the ability to customise the clock however you want like:
-Changing the font of the clock from 700 different fonts! (PRO only)
-changing the font size
-changing the font color
-changing the opacity of the clock
-choosing whether to show seconds or not
-choosing whether to use 24-hour mode or not
Extra Features:
-Double tap to unlock (LG knock on!)
-Clock moves every 10 seconds to prevent burn-in
-The clock is hidden when the device is flipped or in your pocket!!
Warning: it is recommended to keep the "brightness" and "clock -> opacity" in the app's settings as low as possible to conserve battery usage.
Alert: Always On does not work with third party screen lockers. So ensure to delete or disable any third party locker if you have one.
And more amazing features coming soon!!
*If you want to help me by translating the app then follow this link:

*Feedback is highly appreciated.

Great idea. Downloading app.
Could you add notifications? That'll make it much more useful.
Half screen weather will make it even more beautiful

Samsung Galaxy Note 2
This is a pretty cool app, great work!
One thing I noticed is that the date doesn't update if the app is running during midnight (i.e. when I got up Saturday morning the date still read as Friday until I unlocked the phone and then let it go back to Always On mode).

Re: [APP][2.2+][BETA]SidePanel - Swipe from Edge to multitask
There are lots of apps like this, so what makes your app different than the others, such as GYF, Unity Launcher Swapps, Glovebox, etc? I think if you put why your app is different in the op, then more people will try it out.

Good luck with the app.

Thanks dev.
Looks like it has a lot of potential. Can't wait for more updates
I've tried every Side bar app out, but I'm already liking this one more (and I haven't even downloaded it yet) because it's open source.. :cyclops:

If it would have been a paid app, I am sure that nobody would have sent you an apk. I don't think that something like this is common behaviour. (Don't you know how long it takes to develop a good application? I think that we should pay the small amount of money the developers ask for.)
But as this app is a free app you can download it yourself. It can be found on Google Play.
However, I think that you are not really interested in the app. If you were, you would have read the first post. Then you would have seen where to get the app.
I using GYF side launcher and have tried all the other side launcher but GYF launcher have themes, it´s nice.
But this app I like more than the other side launcher apps (apart from GYF)
Have install it.
any plans off adding quicksettings(like toggle auto rotate) or widgets?
There are lots off sidebar-apps available but the only once that DON'T suck are the onces that are integrated into the LAUNCHER.I hate the swipezone off the sidebar-apps (the all have it) because it overlays my UI/top app (launcher/or app that is on top off the UI). No such problems with "sidebars" that are part off the launcher (like for instance: tsf shell)
Hope this sidebar-app will do better?
ps: in tsf shell (which i buy-app, i know) i can activate an app with 1 swipe movement (i don't have to scroll through "pages'') The sidebar i use is the horizontal one (i have hidden the vertical one). Looks a lot like the quick launch bar in an Apple-computer.
tested....
hey I tested the app and I guess there are some bugs:
- I have to swipe from right to left to activate the panel on LEFT side
- the high and weight of activating area is not changing
- notification icon shows also if I uncheck it in options
- grey area for activating panel is everytime&everywhere showed (should it be like this?- I dislike it) (Screenshot)
- if I open panel somewhere also settings appear (Screenshot)
Hope you can improve the app to remove that bugs!
OMG..!

Vibify aims to inform you for any pending notifications on your phone. To do that, Vibify does a very small vibration when you pick up your phone. Vibify works only if your phone remains locked and still, saving up as much battery as possible. Select the applications you want to be supported by Vibify and enjoy.
A similar feature is available on some Samsung devices called "Smart Alert", but Vibify offers you even more options and customization.
Thanks for downloading.

Hey this seems a great app. I always liked the "Smart Alert" feature by Samsung. Keep it up! unfortunately I have no knowledge on graphic design so I can not help you with the logo
Good luck
Hey could you make it like Acdisplay + Music menu on the screen.
No screenshot to show us how it looks when one picks up their device to see the notification? You do realize you're competing with well-established apps on the Play Store like Peek & AcDisplay. Grats on the front page recognition, however you offer nothing to interest me. I'm adding this constructive criticism so your app won't get buried in the forum with no recognition like so many others.
Does it use wakelock or it needs special kernel?
Sorry for this Q but it is importand due to battery life.
Hi developer, could you include HTC "Messages" and "WeChat" too?
Thanks in advance..
When it comes to icon...

It doesn't require any special kernel. It uses wakelocks but acquires and releases in a way so not to tear off your battery. But of course if you leave your phone with a missed notification still many hours it will drain some battery.

Great app, working good! Can you make a lockscreen? Like peek.
I like it. A lot.
About the only thing I can suggest is multiple vibration options. That and maybe an option to set "low battery" parameters.
Nice work!

To be exact i saw 116 mb ram usage. It may be ok for 2 gb devices but not for 1 gb
This app needs serious optimizations.

I was working on memory consumption issue. 24h format will be added on next version.
Thank you.
The lock screen doesn't appear all the time I press the power button. And I'm experiencing lag, but it is very minimal.
All in all a very good lock screen replacement. Can't wait for updates!
Awesome APP but my cellphone has lag with pls, try in the next update, change the RAM consumption... But, the idea is amazing pls, keep going :sly:

Here I'm again after testing new one . Ram usage is 39 mb but good going hope u can reduce more. Notifications receiving little slow little lags still using it if I found anything will report :highfive:
Well I have a temporary fix for the lag.
Go into Settings->Apps and search for this app. Then tap on it, clear data and cache, then force stop it. Once that is done, open the app and set it up once again.
If that didn't work, reboot into recovery and wipe cache.
If even THAT didn't work, a factory reset will DEFINITELY help.
Cheers.
On my Galaxy Note 3 running Alliance ROM Version 1 this doesn't seem to want to be the default lock screen no matter what I do including of course telling the app to "Enable L Lockscreen." I've given it permission for notifications as well. Huge bug that really buzz kills this launcher for me.

You should uncheck "Disable Home Button" option. This will save a lot of memory.
You can compare with other lockscreen apps. It doesn't take more memory than the others.

Complete BS!
The most important function is FREE. If you want optional options like 'auto colors' you have to buy the pro version. There is nothing against a PRO version, the developer isn't a charity organisation.
Can you take a look at the font which you use for the names of senders? Maybe using roboto (light) would be better than the bold arial looking font.
I get this with Whatsapp for example. The sender's name is in bold and the message itself is good (Roboto light I guess). I get the idea why you choose to make the sender's name bold but the font is nowhere else used on my phone.
Keep on the good work. I just bought the pro version.
(Excuse me for my poor english)

Unfortunately,no. I was hopeful to use this app on kitkat, too.
Does this record your notifications so that you can check them out whenever you want, like Notification Browser does? Looking for something that records notifications .

I'm getting repeat old notifications pop up in ticklr without any actual Android notification.
Any idea why?
Why does this app have internet permissions and other while headsoff has no permissions.
Please explain
thank you very much

It feels like the ticker is an overlay on top of the status bar. However i tried headsoff for example and it seems like it returns the "original' ticker experience that doesnt isnt an overlay ontop of the original status bar. Can this be fixed

Ok you may be correct maybe it feels that way because in headsoff the ticker notification goes from bottom to top while here it drops from top to bottom so it feels not like the original in the kitkat version. Hope you can add an option for that in the future. Thanks for the great app

As a suggestion for automatic color, its depending on the app its coming from not the app you are currently using. For example if im using whatsapp and my status bar is greenish, and i get a notification from a different app, the notification color comes very different than green. I think it will look nicer if its the same color as the app you are currently in

Today I present you the...
Nextbit Launcher, ported for any Android 5.0+ device
(thread derived from here)
Hi all!
I succesfully downported the original Nextbit Robin launcher for ANY Android 5.0+ smartphone.
However, you can't expect functions such as Pinned apps or Archived apps (in the cloud), since it doesn't have the Nextbit Constellation Services. The rest of the launcher works really fine.
For low-end devices users: Please, take care, since it uses a lot of CPU & GPU, my poor Xperia M2 feels sometimes like a toaster while using it :silly:
General features:
- Dock with up to 4 icons
- Dedicated widget pages when doing pinch to zoom out
- Handy FAB menu in the bottom right corner, always present
- List of all apps
- Smooth transitions
Mod features:
- Deleted Nextbit Constellation services references from the app code in order to avoid logcat spamming.
- Changed several loops (from if-nez to if-eqz) in order to avoid the Nextbit services got triggered infinitely.
- Icons not showing up (sometimes) when re-opening the launcher got fixed too.
- Full deletion of the Fog effect.
- Landscape mode enabled.
- Added (or rather said, modded) a toast inside the Launcher to warn Nextbit Robin users about the modded version.
Issues you may find:
- The lack of app drawer, which is a Nextbit decision, so avoid blaming me, or anyone for that in the comments.
- The font color stays black, even when the wallpaper is dark, which is another Nextbit issue (AFAIK). Fixed in version 1.4.0.
- Google Search bar not showing up at the top? Check #21.
Changelog:
Ver 1.6.0
- Changed base APK to latest version available.
- Several bugfixes on Nextbit side.
- Added (or rather said, modded) a toast inside the Launcher to warn Nextbit Robin users about the modded version.
Ver 1.4.0.1
- All 1.4.0 goodies, plus a fix for a "Constellation services missing" warning. No more updates today, I promise.
Ver 1.4.0
- Changed base APK to latest version available.
- Full deletion of the Fog effect, for both Landscape and Portrait mode.
- Landscape mode enabled.
- Very optimized, thanks to Nextbit.
- Icon font color fixed.
Special Thanks to: @daavm for providing the original APK from his Robin, and @MSF Jarvis & @IgorEisberg for their heads-ups with the logcat spamming and the AndroidManifest fault
Download: Available at XDA Labs [direct link to the app] (...and also in the attachments)
Enjoy, and don't forget to leave a Thanks or Donate if you loved it!
If only Nextbit gave this a few more premium looking tweaks including Google Now support, this would have been my home screen for ever. Currently it's an on and off thing. @linuxct, any progress in removing those silly fog animations?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In the code, inside com.nextbit.nextbithome, theres a class called dp, where there are some mentions to com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox. I've just replaced them with fully random values and recompiled, however the search bar still pop-ups for me.
This is how it works in my device:
And this is the Google App (QuickSearchBox) version I've installed:
Must be something Sony Mobile/Google related.
