New Software Update sm-g900p? - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just went into System update on my phone ( G900PVPU3BOK4 - latest firmware as of checking yesterday) and it's downloading a 891.75MB Software update. Any one know what this update is?
Also, I was trying to get some straight info on either downgrading it or using cf-autoroot to root this version ( G900PVPU3BOK4). However there's a lot of misinformation and outdated info on this. I've tried downgrading numerous times and it fails with ODIN. Seems that this version you can't downgrade, and as far as rooting no clear info, except that previous firmware (BOA6) can be rooted with this. Anyone have concrete info on either downgrading or rooting the BOK4 firmware on Sprint SM-G900P?
Thanks in advance.

The 900mb update is for Marshmallow (android 6.0.) There is another thread in this gs5 general forum that people are discussing this in. Cf auto root does work on the firmware you are running now, but if you root now you will lose the ability to accept OTA updates. For 6.0 you need to flash twrp via odin and use supersu systemless root.

[Resolved] Not Able to Update my Device Manually Post Flashing STOCK ROM

Hello Team,
I recently purchased a new Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) few days back. After the initial settings, I got a new ROM OTA update. However, I being a true Android lover tried Rooting my J5 (2016). However, the link that I used did not worked and now my Device status has changed from 'Official' to 'Custom'.
EDIT - The above Issue has been Resolved since I flashed STOCK ROM that changed my Device Status back to "Official". However, a new issue has been cropped up now.
You can take a look at the current Software Info. that would give you an insight onto the current OS that is installed on the device after the flashing of STOCK ROM which I downloaded from Sam Mobiles.

and this:
Here is another screenshot that tells you the exact error which I receive now whenever I try looking for Software Updates manually.
I want to know what could be the issue here since earlier the Device Status changed to CUSTOM (when I tried rooting the device). However, when I downloaded the STOCK ROM from SAM MOBILES and flashed it properly through ODIN, this is the new error that is troubling me.
NOTE: After flashing the STOCK ROM, I did not perform any kind of: Data Wipe or Cache Wipe.
Can that be creating this error here? I don't think just because I did not Clean Wiped my Cache and Data could be the reason behind this issue. However, still I am looking forward to hearing some response from the official developers on this.
Thanks and regards.

Need help installing Xposed on SM-G930V

I've been having some increasingly problematic issues with my S7 (which was rooted and had Xposed working for a long time) so I decided to do a factory reset/wipe and essentially start from scratch.
I got the device rooted okay, but any attempts to install/flash the Xposed framework results in a failure to boot.
Here are the steps I'm taking to root setup/root the device (I have had to do this several times now):
1. Used "Odin PrinceComsy.exe" to flash the following stock firmware to the device (contents of VZW-G930VVRU4API3-20161121101036.zip):
• AP_G930VVRU4API3_CL8875708_QB11198919_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
• BL_G930VVRU4API3_CL8875708_QB11198919_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
• CP_G930VVRU4API3_CL8875708_QB11198919_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
• CSC_VZW_G930VVZW4API3_CL8875708_QB11198919_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
2. Used Odin again to flash this "pre-rooted" file:
• Samsung_G930x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.TAR
3. Used this version of SuperSU and pushed it to the device with adb:
At this point, successful root is achieved. Unfortunately I still can't get Xposed to install successfully.
I've tried flashing each the following with Flashfire (each one failed, requiring a repeat of the steps above):
• xposed-v80.0-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160211.zip
• xposed-v85.1-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160530.zip
• a few of the ones here https://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/
I think I've tried some others too but I didn't keep track, sadly.
So basically, if I provide as much information as needed, I'm hoping someone can help me find the right Xposed version/files and maybe provide a few step by step instructions for installing Xposed on my device successfully. I really wish I had all the files I used when I originally did all this but I can't find them.
Here are some more specific details about my device:

Question Samsung A12 IMEI bricked

Hey Guys !
It's been a long time since I left Android mods and a lot has changed since 2015
I managed to lost both the IMEI from my cousin Samsung A12(dual SIM) after tried this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/installing-twrp-and-linageos.4334465/ .
The fault it's on me and not on the guide, I lost the backup file.
I managed to get until the last step before flash the Lineage OS from ADB Sideload.
I format everything and then i couldn't make a connection with the ADB sideload and tried to get back to stock firmware with ODIN.
After flash the firmware i lost both IMEI.
Things I tried :
~ Clean install with ODIN (from the guide)
~Tried to change the IMEI with different apps with root
~Right now I'm trying to install every possible ROM from this site https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-A125F/COS

I thought MediaTek will change but its still the same pain in the ...
EDIT
I managed to get back both IMEI with this version, A125FXXU1AUC3 .
Just to help any other with the same problem.
Best regards,
Leon
Deleted but another alternatives is the downgrade or flash android 10 CP with the last update (This only works with binary 1 firmwares)
In my opinion is so stupid this bug/error and I tink the Knox 0x1 affects this problem (All firmwares with no imei problem has the secured by Knox splash) but is my opinion

Question Rooting attempt ended up with no playstore

I recently attempted to root my op9 following the guide in the pro forum after booting a rooted bootloader and installing via magisk everything seemed fine, I actually use my phone a lot for contactless payments so I needed to pass safetynet and this is where everything went wrong, I followed the magiskhide guide and hid from gms and proceeded to reboot.
When my phone booted up I had lost the playstore and my phone was no longer rooted to make things worse safteynet failure.
In the end I had to flash a standard bootloader into both slots and relock my bootloader just to get stock working correctly.
What could I have possibly done wrong to lose playstore?
Fixed the issue partially following the rooting guide on the pro forum
[GUIDE] [Magisk] [Unlock / ROOT / Keep Root] OOS 13.1.0.500
Different variants of Magisk that are available for use : Magisk Variant Stable / Beta / Canary Release Official Android / OOS OOS 11 and above Maintainer topjohnwu Project Link GitHub Zygisk No...
forum.xda-developers.com
I restarted the process after I factory reset and updated to LE2113_11_F.72
extracted the boot.img and patched it and finally got everything working...
it's been a while since I've rooted anything and the whole ecosystem has changed but I still managed the basics My only thought is I used the wrong bootloader.
