I've had this issue ever since switching from Zombi-POP (5.1.1) to KatKiss (6.0.1). All the sharks, fish, and scenery in this game shows up black or dark gray. There don't seem to be any graphics settings I can edit, either inside the game or in Developer Options for the device, that make any difference.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Can others reproduce it on KatKiss v24?
Any thoughts on how to solve it or how to determine the cause?

Does anyone else experience on their TF an obvious slow down in overall performance when using a live wallpaper? The only time I don't experience the lag is when I am in an already third-party application BUT when I use the homescreen controls like settings and app switching...that lags. Stock browser performance is worse too.
It seems that the only live wallpapers that don't cause any obvious slow down are the ASUS offered ice cube in water and halo spiral.
Any ideas as to why?
I have downloaded live wallpapers that were specifically made for HC including the GT's for Touchwiz (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169061) and others on the market and they just slow everything down.
Well, not many are actually optimized for tablets. But beyond that, you have to remember it is rendering something at 1280x800 continuously, besides the launcher. So it will eat away at some performance no matter what.
The only one I've found that doesn't have much performance decrease is Light Grid. That one runs pretty great on my TF without slowing things down much. I have it set to cycle large black, gray, and white squares.
Makes sense, and thanks about light grid, I will try that out!
I tried the androidify live wallpaper, and although it is kind of lame, it works great too.
I use my beach hd no lag for me
don't forget to bring a towel!

The ones that were updated are the featured LWP.. Ive collected 148 in the past 5 months with maybe 10 of those that cause lag.
SwampWater is my favorite. I emailed the developer who just got a tablet and found interest in developing again ...I emailed thanking him and saying its awesome looking. He recently added colors and more bugs.
SwampWater
Text clock Pro
Symphony of colors
Stars pro
Seeds of life (sperm) lol
Rolling Cat ($2.99) Nothing special i just wanted the cat
Prismatic
Rays of light
Pretty wallpapers (uses 2 layers to choose from).2 Animations and 1 color
PolarClock Live wallpaper
Particle storm
Nightfall Live wallpaper (payed)
Photile Pro
Light Grid Pro (one of the best IMO)
Light Grid Holiday Theme
Nexus Revamped Pro
Moon Phase (free or Payed)
Jump gate (payed)
IBM Watson Avatar Pro (the one that has scrolling words in the preview pic)
The ones I listed are 1$ and some are free or have a trial version
Anything from developer XLLUSION, JASON ALLEN and KITTEHFACE SOFTWARE
The only one from Jason Allen that doesnt work is a Panda sitting in a cup (to new he hasn't upgraded the code yet).
The Bamboo and Panda does work perfectly .
There ares to many to list, those are the ones that work perfectly.. Your best bet is explore the developers other LWP apps. if 1 works, he has most likely updated the rest.
Most the LWP on the list have multiple that work on Tablets , for example Rays of Light. If you select the developer other apps, his other LWP appear I did not not add to the list. From Rays of light you could get 5 or 6 more that work.. Im very picky on live wallpapers. I dont buy just anything..
I noticed with the S2 SR, it appears that when some graphical elements are scaled in an application, there isn't any filtering (bilinear or otherwise) applied and the graphics appear very pixelated and aliased.
Two applications where this is really easy to see is Netflix (some videos are scaled up and become quite pixelated) and the game Dungeon Defenders where you have the option to run the game at a non-native resolution and have it scaled up.
I didn't see this 'issue' on the standard S2, so I assume it's a quirk with the way the graphics chipset / driver is designed in the SR (particuarly since I note the same pixelization on the Galaxy Tab 8.9 4G which, I believe, uses the same CPU/graphics chip, correct?
My question is: is there a way to enable some sort of filtering for scaled graphics like this? I read in another post that it may be scaling in software mode and that it might be possible to enable a hardware-based scaling?
I don't have my phone rooted yet, but I wouldn't mind doing so if I had the option of fixing this issue.
Also, if I were to install a custom rom, such as the Sky Ice Cream Sandwich rom, would it remedy this?
Thank you!
EDIT: I was trying to post some example images but the forum kept resizing the images. I also (understandably) can't yet post outside links. Not sure how else to include them.
Sky ics does seem to help on Netflix. Connection speed probably has something to do with the picture quality to.
Hello! I've installed the latest release of crombikk and it's wonderful! I've only a problem, some 2d games (don't touch the white tile an ball beating) runs very very fast (i guess about 3 time faster than normal, they're unplayable!) while others (flappy bird, geometry dash) runs normally. They appear just like movies in fast forward mode! What cause this and what should i do to solve this? thanks in advance!
This is my configuration: Crombikk current, that kernel v10, f2fs internal partitions, no rom2sd.

I can't find an app called ball beating, and there about 10 different versions it seems of don't tap the white tile. I tested a 2D one and it seems to play just fine. Perhaps you could be a little more specific as to what games are causing you problems?

Sorry for vagueness (and errors )! One game is "super ball batting" by hu wen zeng, the other is "don't tap the white tile" by the same autor. Thank you so much for your support!
I removed the fps limit from balanced and performance modes. If the games determine their speed from the fps that is a poor programming decision.
What happens if you run them in power saving mode?

Yep, i've been thinking that it would have been a kind of poor programming issue, because all other games works just fine! And the ones that has given me problems are made by the same author! Running them in power saving mode did the trick, thank you so much! However, i was wandering, Is there any way to turn on fps limit on balanced mode?

Not without editing the the ramdisk in the kernel But the point is you should be asking the author of the games to fix his crappy coding. Why should I limit the fps of my rom for some poorly programmed games which will then make other games run slowly....? :cyclops:
I never touched the fps of power saving mode so just use that for now
