I have a Samsung galaxy Ace and have managed to install CyanogenMod 11 on it. However, I am unable to install gapps. When I try to install it on TeamWinRecovery, I get the error:
Updating Partition details...
Full SELinux support is present.
Installing '/sdcard/gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip'...
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip'
Updating Partition details...
After that I decided to use ClockWorkMod. When using it I get the Error:
Installing: /storage/sdcard0/gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
E:Error in /storage/sdcard0/gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
(status 0)
Installation aborted.
The Error may be because of low storage space in /system. On TWRP it says that I have 23MB free , Used 182MB and Size is 206MB on /system.
Thanks in Advance
PS-I am new to all this since this is my first time installing a custom rom.
Yeah definitely i think you are too much low at system memory to install gapps
Alone playstore is about 15mb
Gmail is 5mb
20mb consumed
Where other gapps like maps, navigation, search etc. will install?
I think the better way to install it manually like normal installing apps so it could go to internel memory or sd card if u do apps2sd
Download playstore, gmail etc apk files from a third party site and install it
Give a thanks if i helped u

Thank you for your help. I manged to solve my problem. I installed the apk of the Google Play Store and then copied the files 'GmsCore.apk, GoogleLoginService.apk, GoogleServicesFramework.apk and Phonesky.apk' to /system/app. I found these files in the gapps zip file. I restarted my phone and the Play Store was working.
Awesome enjoy

I've searched up the forums and I did not get the solutions I sought.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Mini ST-5570, running on CM10 27 August nightly build. When I attempted to flash gapps, Play Store didn't appear at all, no matter which one I flashed (2 August-signed or the one by KonstaT). In the apps list (manage apps), Play Store wasn't even there. Is there a way to fix this problem such that when I flash gapps it would appear?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Try flashing another one. Make sure the one you flash is for your android version.
CM doesn't contain gapps, so, download the apk of play store, and copy to your sdcard, them, open with any explorer

This won't work because it needs to be installed as a system app.

That doesn't work, I've tried flashing 2 types of gapps and they both don't work.

Actually, I have just found out the root of this problem - my phone has "not enough space available", so I had to do all the "adb commands" to delete all my ringtones and unnecessary stuff -.- But the problem is, my internal phone space gets rather low recently.
I would love to try out the inverted gapps sometime. What is it actually?

Gapps is a package containing certain Google Apps (that what it means). Usually these apps are not found in the market (anymore). It also contains some Google framework files. That version may be smaller, containing only the essential stuff.
make 2 partitions in your sd card, them, install link2sd, after that, transfer some programs to sdcard, after that, install gapps in recovery mode:

No dude that won't do.. You see, the speaker makes the cell act like speaker, you'll still need a 4.1+ device which would work as transmitter.. Without 4.1+ device, that's pretty much useless..

Try int2ext ! Its by far the best and most stable script for CM10 (my experience). Just download int2ext from the download section (link provided), open the downloaded zip, open the CM10 rom zip, copy system folder from int2ext zip to CM10 zip, save CM10 zip and flash with an ext partition (partition your sd card via cwm recovery warning: IT WILL FORMAT YOUR CARD AS WELL SO PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR CARD ! Don't say I didn't warn ya !)
thanks!!

Hello, i always get a "-24" error when trying to install clean master. I was able to install and use that app before. But then, my SD card broke.. I changed to a new sd card. And i was able to install all the apps i had before except clean master. While installing. I always get that -24 error.
I hope someone could help me with this. I really find that app useful.

I did. Actually, i tried it off the playstore and manual installation. All i got from the playstore is that -24 error. And when i tried installing it manually through apk installation) it always get that installation error
try downloading from
http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
Copy and paste link of the app from play store that you want.
And download and try reinstall it.
Or use This System Optimizer that cannot be found on google play, download and install it manually.
This one has full features including clearing caches, clearing broken apk, network speed indicator, task killer, forbidding undesired app at start up for faster booting, checking phone info, updating apps, all in one widget, etc...
It is just 5.3 MB, just like a premium app.
Good Luck!

I own a Xperia Z2 with CM12.1 + M5 kernel but I don't think this problem is related to a specific device or ROM because before this I had an S4 with same problems .
Almost everytime I try to download an app/game bigger than 20-30Mb , the download progress bar fills to 100% then it starts downloading again and when it reaches 100% I get error 963 "app can't be downloaded"
I tried cleaning cache of phone , cleaning cache + data of plays store , rebooting but nothing helps , I just can't download some apps/games .
Does anyone have an idea what should I do ? Is really annoying ...
anyone ?
c'mon , am I the only one with this problem ?
Have you tried unmounting the SD card and installing the app?
Give it a try.
Unmount the SD Card, not remove it, then download the app. It should install fine.
Have you updated your Play Store to 6.3.12A? If yes, revert back to 6.0.5. It'll trigger 963 error when updating apps.
It won't affect clean install anyway.

Lol I didn't notice it! I see that update recently on XDA Labs app. But, I think it's better to obtain updated Open GApps as I'm using it.
Btw I'm on 6.3.12A as I said with clean installation of BeanStalk and everything goes fine.
