My watch used to notify me when I had been inactive or active for a specific length of time. However, it doesn't do this anymore. I have looked in the settings on the Gear S2 (S Health > Settings > Alert) and all the options are active. I also noticed that in the S Health app on my phone there are notifications options. This is what I see:

Not sure if the grayed out section for Trackers is causing the problem? It wouldn't explain why it doesn't alert me anymore when I'm active though. I have tried clearing data for the gear app and factory resetting the watch, but still no luck :/
Has anyone else experienced this? For the record, I am on a Note 5 running Marshmallow.
I just did a factory reset of both my Note 5 and my Gear S2 and the problem still persists. I'm starting to think this may just be a Marshmallow issue? I may downgrade to Lollipop and see if that fixes it.
Anyone with Marshmallow on their phone and BPA4 on their Gear S2 able to confirm? Do activity/inactivity alerts work for you?

I chatted with Samsung again and they said there wasn't any known issues with Marshmallow creating these problems with the Gear S2. We're still pretty early in the life of Marshmallow though, so it may just not be logged.
It would really be helpful if anyone could either confirm whether or not activity alerts work for them on the Gear S2 paired with a Marshmallow phone.
I had that working for months, and lost it after a Gear S2 update that came long before my phone updated to marshmallow. Uninstalled Gear manager and hard reset the watch to no avail. Thus in my opinion this isn't a MM issue.
I've had my Gear S2 for about 10 days. I've been looking for a way to get "stand up, you lazy bum" reminders. Hopefully Samsung will be rolling out an update to enable (or re-enable?) this function. I had it with my Runtastic and I miss it.

Yeah, mine used to do that. I thought it quit recently, but maybe it was the BPA4 update that broke it? Hopefully, the next one fixes it. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem.
Anyone else able to confirm?
My activity alerts are working again now. I reset the watch once again - although that may not have been necessary - and re-added the widget for activity timing. About a half-hour later I got an alert to get off my butt and move around.
So, there you have it. Running 6.0.1 on my S6 edge with BPA4 on my S2 Classic and activity alerts are back.

Yes! This did it. I didn't reset my watch. I just added the widget and then hit start. Everything is working again! Samsung really needs to make this more obvious. Thanks for the help!

Just saw this article in Sammobile and wondered if anyone in the US has received this "Jansky wearable" update recently.
Got it yesterday. I see no difference. No new watchface.

The current Tizen version on my AT&T SM-R765A is 2.3.2.0, What's the Tizen version on your updated S3?
Pardon my ignorance, but just how does the update come across? I've looked in 'about phone', only saw what version I'm on.
EDIT: NVM, I found it.

After Jansky update tizen version is 2.3.2.2 ... no noticeable differences that I have found
But does anybody know WTH this Jansky Wearable thing is? It's listed prominently in the update log, but we draw a blank when we search for it...

Just got the update as well. I have the T-Mobile watch but have it disconnected. Didn't expect any updates after stopping my service. Haven't noticed anything different, I assume it's better compatibility with nougat but don't take my word for it.
Jansky Call in notifications
I have Samsung Gear S3 Frontier(LTE) and phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7. After the Jansky update, I notice after missing a call that is not saved in my contacts it says "Jansky Call" in my notification tray. Has anyone else noticed this?

anthing more about Jansky on your Gear S3?? Please tell me
So, I've been doing some research and coming up with practically nothing for this Jansky Wearable, then I stumbled across a couple of threads related to the MarshaMallow leak back in 2015, seems that there was a Jansky Settings in the Settings menu that was something of a mystery, one person mentioning that when they tried to go into the Jansky Settings it would send the phone into a 'provisioning' state that wouldn't complete. Then there was this thread; https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-note5/help/help-urgent-t3257373 that was also related to provisioning and talked about combining two phone numbers on the same device. This latter is exactly what the LTE version of the Gear S3 does when binding the S3 and it's tethered device's phone number together. Since the S3 LTE has it's own phone number associated with it, I'm guessing that this Jansky Wearable is part of the underlying system that lets you see your phone's calls and SMS messages even when the watch is not directly connected to the paired phone, based on provisioning on the carrier side.
I've had the watch for about a week now and notifications have been nothing but problems for me. Everything will work fine and then I'll just stop getting most notifications on my phone. When I go into the gear app on my S8 most of the apps are greyed out and I can't turn them on or off. The only fix I've found is restarting the watch, which really sucks because it turns all the notifications back to their defaults. So 4-5 times a day of restarting the watch and having to change all the notifications I want is getting pretty annoying.

Already running on stock firmware since I need it for s pay. I did a factory reset on both the phone and watch and the problem returned. Guess I'll wait for Oreo and hope it gets fixed.

Hi there! My wife bought Versa 2 and paired with Huawei P30 Lite, according to Fitbit phone is supported.
It's working..... until is not. Sometimes seems not to sync. And not sure why.
I changed Fitbit app battery configuration several times, when doing watch is working perfectly, but time after time, watch just doesn't received any notificacion.
- Is there any way watch to advise user sync is not working?
I.e. I have an Amazfit Bip 1st gen and there is an icon for missing bluetooth (it depends of the watchface sure).
- Same from phone side, is there any way for APP to be always alive?
Again, Amazfit App has an option to be always in notificacion zone, to avoid being closed by OS.
Do someone has any app to look out for bluetooth connection? I want to be sure if bluetooth is the problem (maybe no). Other possibility is Huawei battery behavior, maybe close app even if I try not to do it.
To see if it works correctly I look at the weather app and see the update time, if it is more than 1 hours sync stopped and need force close phone app. Of course you need to exclude the Fitbit phone app from battery phone optimization
Nice. Also just "block" Fitbit app to not to be closed. Just slide to do it.
Seems to do the work.

Hi, sorry for late response, but have been extremely busy lately with other things. Problems between Huawei and Fitbit are very well know, supported or not. You can try this fix: Sync Fix for Fitbit and Huawei/Honor phones - Apps op Google Play . Kind regards, kuzibri
Hi,
I have one Versa 2 but i cant pair it with samsung galaxy S7 or S9.
Any ideia how to solve this ?
Tks
I have Samsung ecosystem - S21 phone, Watch4 and Buds+ . recently I bought SE7 FE and I can't make it even to see earbuds - tried both Galaxy Wear and just "standard" bluetooth connection. Scan does not find any BT devices around. Is it a way to run self test to see if BT even works?
Another question - some of my apps now are running in Full screen mode. And I can't figure how to change that - there is no Full screen apps setting under Display section anymore - any idea?
Read this. It may be helpful.
If your Buds+ sound quality is good, Do Not upgrade their firmware. I recently had the sound Q of my one pair trashed by a firmware upgrade. Roll back on them is a pain to do. The last version firmware on the last manufactured Buds+ is the best.
Thanks for replying, nice to know how to flush Buds firmware.
I dont think it is the same issue- mine just dont show up in S7 - I think the problem is on tablet side to be honest. Need to find another pair of BT headphones to test it out.

Try the akps I posted on the other link thread.
First uninstall all the current ones. Remember to firewall block them. Known to work on Pie and 10 at least with stock N10+ snaps.
Lol, the way to flash firmware on a pair of Buds+ is not too Samsung roulette.

How many devices are they paired to? To my knowledge you can only pair Galaxy Buds/Buds+ to two different devices.

Is it a way to check? Even if both spots are taken, shouldn't Galaxy Wearable shows it?

Not true at least on the N10+. I have pair of Buds and 3 pairs of Buds+.
Here's 3 of those that are set up to automatically pair. The one pair of Buds+ is waiting a reflash to fix a Samsung firmware "upgrade" that trashed their sound.

MY US based Watch 4 Non-LTE was just updated U1GVK7 update today 12/06/22 - Android Security Patch Level still on November 1, 2022
New Ball Watch face added, Stability codes applied to Notification + device behavior and the usual Stability and reliability updates.
Checked again for updates for my AT&T LTE Watch 4 Classic, but there's no update available. It is still at the U1GVH2 release.

I went into Wear and checked for updates and it came right up. That was about an hour and a half ago.
Dumb question. My watch is LTE but I'm only connected via Bluetooth for now. This is not for my phone, correct?

One small enhancement that I noticed is that you don't have to navigate to the last page in order to "Close All" running apps. There is a small "Close All" bubble on the initial page.
Rec'd in Australia
Got it in eastern US.
I received it yesterday for my watch 4 classic
Mine didn't notify me until today. Just told it to install. Didn't seem to break anything (but haven't used it yet). It did the typical restart into the loading firmware screen (gears), rebooted, startup stuff/etc. After that, the "Galaxy Wearable" app on the phone asked for an update. So I approved that. Everything still seemed normal.
And then, when I woke the watch up again to play with it, it popped up "Updating Watch" and "copying update". A second update??? Waited for the download. Then it asked about updating now or overnight, I told it go ahead, and it went through the whole thing again??? Reboot, gears, progress indicator, reboot, startup. I have never seen that behavior before.
Maybe your update fail...
Check if you are really on new "numbers"...
*#1234#
Or look into About Watch...
Best Regards
It really must have been two.... looks like I am on an even newer version than what is listed here. Now on R890XXU1GVK7
