I tried rooting my device, but apparently I'm one of the unlucky ones that is unable to (SM-G925V | G925VVRU4CPC2).
I really need to recover two photos I deleted. Luckily I have the one photo I sent to someone in text, however I deleted the original.
I've looked around online, and most of the recovery apps require root. Any help?
Even rooted apps wont help you... Phone storage its kindly unable to recover. Its not fat32 like usb, micro sd etc.. Ive lost more 1000 photos and ive triend everything with no luck

Greetings all,
I have been tearing my hair out for weeks trying what seems about every possible method to recover deleted photos from a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300T. (Telstra)
The photos were stored on the phone not the SD card but in a moment of madness I accidentally deleted them.
The phone runs Android 4.3.
The phone has been rooted with CF Autoroot, RootChecker says the phone is rooted and Superuser is granting appropriate permissions, and USB debugging has been enabled.
When I run Wondershare Dr Fone or Easeus Mobisaver, each program seems to scan and finds a lot of files such as gifs, png's etc but not the deleted photos.
To test the device I took about 30 photos without the SD and deleted the album. Then I ran each program again with the same negative result.
Neither Wondershare or Easeus support lines have been of any use.
I ran Undelete app and no result either.
The photos were taken during the recent Nepal earthquake at the site and I am desperately needing to recover them.
My eternal thanks will be extended to anyone who can help me save them.

Hi,
I have accidentally deleted few videos and photo from my Samsung Note-3. I have tried DiskDigger and before trying DiskDigger I have rooted the phone. But unfortunately I didn't get the desired data. It is actually returning me the videos or the picture which are still in my phone memory and i have moved them to some other directory. I have also tried the Wondershare Dr.fone but I am unable to see my desired data there, as I don't have the purchased version so unable to recover.
Does anyone has done similar kind of recovery please let me know and guide.
Thanks & Regards
Hello guys, I have a S8+ 955U version tmobile. I was on oreo beta and wanted to revert back to 7.0 latest which is G955USQS2BRB1. I odin the files but it caused me to format my internal memory. i lost all my photos of my newborn.
How can I get them back?
I've tried a few programs but I have to be rooted which I'm not.
I found a thread SAMPWNED to root device but I can't downfrade that far back.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. no i did not have an sd card in the phone, all files were saved on internal.
It's really difficult to recover photos from a formatted internal SD card. Best option, I think, would be try some other recovery apps, so see if they have access to your phone, though I don't think they will have that type of low-level access.
Another possibility might be to use ADB and if you can, pre-system/security startup, enable ADB within the phone, and then you might be able to do a recovery scan of the phone partitions.
There are a few (vague?) how to's on using ADB to enter the phone pre-system/security. Search 'sonnettie', the author of one method, and you will likely find other author off-shoots of the same type of method. If I don't stay current with a thing, I forget most of the details, but that was his original(?) method, which as I was told, came to be used by others to get into the phone pre-system startup/security. It might have been obviated by the Oreo update with a bug fix.
Did you have Samsung backup configured? If so it should have uploaded the photos and you would be able to restore them. If you don't make a backup your photos are already lost, you never know when your phone might die, be stolen or in this case get formatted. Google photos is a good alternative to keep your photos backing up.
Some people have incorrectly stated that it is possible to recover the photos after formatting internal storage. The data partition is encrypted by default and unless you are able to recover both, encryption key (it was most likely overwritten during first boot after factory reset) and the part of the partition containing the photos, you cannot get your photos back. Also, I have not seen any commercial data recovery software, which is capable of finding encryption keys and deciphering corrupted data partition.
Exactly, the phone is encrypted, not remotely possible to recover the photos scanning the memory

good to know.
Thanks everyone for your input. After spending countless hours trying to root phone so I could get a data recovery program on it, I gave up. Turns out I had google photos and Samsung cloud turned on and it synced all my media. I got all my media back on my phone.
Thanks guys
@OP
i want to remind you that if you are doing like updating, flashing, modifying, always make a back up thank god samsung cloud is doing that for you., but i always make a hard copy to my sd card always you newer know right. i am happy for you that you got your data back
Hi to all, i did install today disk digger, hoping that i will get some old pictures, but instead i deleted it all. I tried to root my galaxy s7 with kingroot, kingo root, vroot etc, but couldn't root, cause some pc software manage to restore, but it needs rooted phone. So i was hoping that someone had simmilar issue and managed to solve it. Is there any way to get without root? Btw i also tried to root with odin, but it failed. It's samsung s7 with stock oreo, exynos. Yeah i don't use sd card, all my photos were on internal memory.

You can recover photos the same was you would on a pc. Get some media recovery software plug in your phone and choose the partition to recover from. The success of this depends on how much has been already overwritten by doing other stuff to the phone before you attempt recovery.
I tried several pc softwares but they require root. Another one can't see my internal storage, but sd card is visible. I tried to get my internal memory visible, as mass memory, but i didn't.
Edit: I did used disk digger from playstore, but i deleted them all, cause it found 7k pictures, mostly about 200, 300kb, so i didn't thought that will delete from my gallery
Hello guys,
I tried to use the search function but came up with no relevant answers. So a person close to me has accidentally deleted a whole album from the gallery app on Samsung Galaxy S7. I tried to use several software solutions but the results were not good. Is there a reliable way to recover the whole album or is it gone ?
Phone's Android must be rooted when it comes to recover deleted / wiped user-data.
If rooted then take it to authorized service center and let them try to recover the data in hope they have the forensic tool to do so.
So there isn't a reliable way to do it at home ?
Hi, nice to meet you. If you want to recover deleted photos from internal storage without backup, first stop using your phone in case of data overwritten. Then you need to ask help from pro shop or phone data recovery software like Dr.fone, Coolmuster Lab.Fone for Android, Recuva for Android, etc. Such software needs you to root your phone before using it. About the details, please search online. Just have a try and good luck to you.
