Aloha everyone. I am in Hawaii and Google Maps is very valuable right now. I cannot seem to find the app anywhere on the phone, not in any folders or anything. However, when I go to download the app from the Play Store, it is already installed and i can just open it. Can anybody enlighten me and where I can find it without going to the Play Store to open it? Thanks in advance
Either the app is hidden through the launcher settings or uninstall maps and reinstall the maps app... hopefully that would show the icon then
Check disabled apps.

Check the Google folder. Either on the first home screen, or in the launcher if active.

Version 3.10.9 of the Google Play app is pushing out to phones tonight, but there aren't any major changes. In fact, a cursory glance shows it as basically the same as the 4.2 Google apps version except that now you can delete items in your Wishist and you get a new screen when apps are installing. More than likely there are more behind-the-scenes changes as well.
The apk*is floating around in the usual spots and will install right over your existing Play Store app. Or you can just wait it out and you should see it "soon". Hit the link to get it now

For some reason my N5 seems to have stopped creating a shortcut on the launcher when I install a new app and I cant for the life of me find it...any clues please?!
I use this feature quite heavily as I run a simple one screen setup and tend to browse Play Store from a PC and send software to my phone during the day...that new installs dump to the desktop means I know theres something new for me to tidy up...whereas without this I'm huntimg through pages of the App Drawer trying to remember whats new,
It's the auto-add widgets setting in Play Store

Is anyone else seeing this pop-up window instead of the normal one when using Google Chrome? Seems like this started happening after the recent Chrome update. Tried removing and reinstalling it but same result.

There's a workaround that might work with your ROM in reply #36.
I saw that work around but I don't want to run Xposed. Fortunately, I have a back up copy of an older version of Chrome and reverted back to it. Maybe the next few updates will provide a proper fix for this.

Nothing about the app has been changed other than Leanback Launcher support with icon.

How did you get drastic w/ icon?
I made it, but it doesn't work. App launches but gets authorization error like the app wasn't paid for even though its been purchased on the same account. I'm working on getting it running though, and ill release it if there's interest.

Good day ladies and gentlemen.
I just recently dirty flashed (updated) latest AOSP room (7.1.2) to my Nexus,, everything is working just fine except that the Google app is saying "Google Play Services doesn't have one or more required permissions." and it doesn't show any emails while my email is indeed in use.
The thing is all Google apps have all their permissions, all apps are working just fine except "Google".
Look at the screenshots.
I hope anyone could help, thanks in advance.
