[Q] Latest CWM version or TWRP [FIXED]

been searching for over an hour now but no dice
can somebody point me to the latest version of CWM recovery or TWRP?

Flash cm11 or any other kk to get it. It comes with the ROM.

Experiencing Bootloop after TWRP backup.

I m using falcon XT1033 on 5.0.2 lollipop.
Recently I performed a TWRP BACKUP on my device.
After the backup it went into Bootloop.
Only started when I did a factory data reset.
While unlocking too it showed some error. I can't remember the error. But the status shown was 'UNLOCKED'.
Please help.

Happened with me
It's a problem with twrp so now I am using Philz and cm 12 and I cannot flash stock firmware on my phone now.

v2.8.5 works, and was made by @h2o64. I have not tested v2.8.6 - it was contributed by another user.

Have you confirmed.
And pls explain how to change the recovery... I m unfamiliar with this stuff!

I've installed 2.8.5 version... And still the screen flickers....

The screen flickering is a different issue and not related to backups
As for the backups I suggest you to NOT take it because some people still experiencing problems with it

You can flash a rom there is no problem with that but backup restore is buggy with twrp
You can use Philz touch for that

Yes. Backup was successful..
But now it is taking my 3.2GB of space.
Anyone knows how to move this to PC.
And also I m not able to find this backup file in my file managers.
But it shows up in Philz Custom Recovery.

If the backup is stored in /sdcard/clockworkmod/ - then try: adb pull /sdcard/clockworkmod c:/backup/clockworkmod/

I don't get you.
It doesn't show up in my internal storage.
When I go to mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup... It shows empty folder.
I tried to pull up using CWM backup manager but It just created a folder named 'CWM Backups' in my internal storage. Empty folder again.
I'm new to this stuff.

What version of philz are you using? Are you sure you can backup and restore a Lollipop ROM successfully, because only TWRP worked for me.

I m using Philz Touch 6.58.7 and CWM 6.0.5.1
TWRP 2.8.4 caused problems like bootloop when I took a backup. It showed some kind of error which I can't remember now.
Philz didn't had a problem...
I have not restored. Just took a backup.
Do you know how to take a backup of just a ROM excluding media, data, apps??

Isn't EuphoriaOS also AOSP based? Then how does it boot fine with Tz 4.15? Just asking coz I'm curious.

I don't know, some user said TZ gives bootlopp when flashed on AOSP based ROMs.

There isn't. Its not like CyanogenMod, different features on different ROMs.
Notification drawer is not one of the features of AOSPA.

I tried to flash the zip on a recently unlocked device with TWRP but I have this error message: "error executing updater binary in zip".
Does it work if I flash the boot.img with flashtool? Or should I do differently?

it seems like you are using twrp 2.8.4.0 ....please use philz or twrp v2.8.6.0

I flashed the thunderzap image with fastboot (fastboot flash boot tz4-16-boot.img) but it shows me a black screen.
So I flashed the 15.3.A.117 build of sony with flashtool and I rooted until tomorrow.
I hope I will be able to install your ROM, it makes me want!

Hi
Im trying to boot into recovery of thunderzap but I think kernel was not instalated.
When I boot I dont have logo and in system info there kernel name is [email protected] --- not thunderzap ...
I have flashed ROM, Gapps and thunderzap 4.16 all in CMW philz.
What im doing wrong?

You can only flash TZ4.16 in twrp

Can I do it after Flashing ROM or should I install Twrp and then Flash ROm, gapps, kernel?
And if I need to flash it, should I change name off file twrp.img to boot.img? And flash via fast fastboot?

I just instalated TWRP manager and this app did not find my recovery but allow to download and install TWPR to partition /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernel

App works fine i have instaleted the twrp.

Hello guys!
Please I need any custom recovery for my device, I can't root it. Its android with mt6580 chipset lollipop 5.1.
I have stock recovery.img and boot.img. I've tried every means I know about porting recoveries as I am not a dev all to no avail. Please help even if it is a tutorial for creating it. Thank you.

C1) I flashed your recovery by flashtool, then I pressed and held power button + volume up button, my phone showed up a menu with 3 options: "-recovery, -normal boot, -fastboot". I chose "recovery" but nothing happened, it rebooted.
C2) If I choose recovery option with my stock recovery, it show up a android robot and a notice "No task!"

use CF-Auto-Root to root your phone.
