I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime and I wanted to install the official 5.0.2 firmware using odin, but odin won't detect my phone, once i go to download mode and plug it in, it says "Installing device driver software", then eventually fails to install "Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device" and in device manager, it says "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)" Help?
Hi there
You need to install drivers of your specific phone model on your pc only then u can use odin
Go to google and search for usb drivers for grand prime it will be better if u search with device number(eg samsung galaxy ace gt s5830 that gt s5830 is the device number)
Download and install it in ur pc
U will be able to flash via odin

If you're able to go in the download mode and still not being detected in odin, do the following-
Open the back panel of your device.
Press the download mode combo along with the reset button which is between the camera and speaker of the phone (you'll need help of another person to do so).
You're device must be detected by now.
If still the phone is not detected, you probably lack drivers for the phone in your pc. Best way to get them is install kies on your pc.

...or try to connect the usb cable directly on the pc without any usb hub

Odin doesn't detect your phone but does Windows detect it?
That is the first step to see if it is a driver problem or a software problem.

just unistall kies from ur PC and if u have installed Samsung drivers separately, remove that also...then robot the windows...now install Samsung kies...then connect ur phone in normal mode frst.let the drivers get installed..then after that remove the usb cable.. switch off ur phone, go to download mode in mobile, then open odin and connect the phone in download mode..it will be detected...
If all their suggestions still doesn't solve your problem, try it using other PC. It will work. I have also experienced that. Hehe...

KIES is the solution.
You just install it, and it will install the drivers you need.
After that you won´t have ant other trouble.

Hi everyone
I have one problem with Odin and my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because Odin doesn't detect my tablet I don't know why.
First, I run Odin, I load MD5 file and then I connect my tablet to my PC and Odin doesn't see my tablet, but my PC detects it.
All drivers are installed, Kies also is installed so I don't know what's going on. .
Tab 2 is naturally in Download Mode for sure
USB Debugging is enabled.
Why my PC doesn't detect my tablet?

My samsung ended stucked on the Samsung Logo..
I tried flashing it via Odin but the Pc running windows 7 cant recognize the usb connection..
I have installed Kies and the latest Usb drivers still the same..
Any idea what i can do?
Could you enter download mode ?
Odin must be started as Administrator and no Kiess cannot run in the backgroind.
Try different usb cable and usb port.
What's the error if there is any ?

I think the problem is with your cabel.Try replacing it.

I download CWM and ODIN and Samsung USB Drivers for mobile phones on my Pc windows 7.
And when i try to install Drivers a message appears telling my that a device is connected please remove it and restart your Pc.
And the device isn`t connected and i disabled it from device manager and uninstalled it but it doesn`t disappear from the drivers list.
And the same proplem continue.
I wish anyone can help me plzzz
