Hi guys, today iam going to tell you that how u can OVERCLOCK your galaxy s duos 2 to 1.6ghz.
So first u have to flash "cm-12.1-20160306-UNOFFICIAL-kyleprods" this version of rom or above versions to overclock your device because the overclocking kernel comes with this "cm-12.1-20160306-UNOFFICIAL-kyleprods" version or above of the rom.
U can also do it with cm13 rom.
1) FLASH THE ROM AND GAPPS.
2) AFTER FLASHING U HAVE TO ENABLE ROOT IN THE ROM. FOR DOING IT GO TO SETTIING/ABOUT DEVICE AND TAP THE BUILT-NUMBER SEVERAL TIMES TO ENABLE "DEVELOPER OPTIONS". THEN FIND A OPTION CALLED "ROOT ACCESS" AND CLICK ON IT TO ENABLE.
3) NOW GO TO PLAY STORE AND DOWNLOAD A APP CALLED "NO-FRILLS CPU CONTROL" AND OPEN IT.
4) GRANT IT ROOT ACCESS.
5) THEN SET THE MIN AND MAX CLOCK FREQUENCY TO 1.6GHZ.
6) NOW SET THE GOVERNOR. (I RECOMMAND TO SET IT "ON DEMAND" SO IT USE THE OVERCLOCK FREQUENCY WHEN NEEDED. IT WILL SAVE YOUR BATTERY)
7) NOW SET THE I/O SCHEDULER TO NOOP.
8) NOW CLICK ON APPY AND IT'S DONE.....
NOW U HAVE OVERCLOCKED YOUR DEVICE TO 1.6GHZ.
YOU CAN ALSO GO TO THE LINK BELOW AND WATCH MY VIDEO ABOUT IT.

I've seen this problem discussed here before, and apparently fixed in current versions, but:
The "set on boot" setting on SetCPU shows no sign of working for me.
What I want is for profiles to be automatically enabled on boot - which I assume is part of what "set on boot" is supposed to do. True?
But when I reboot, the "set on boot" settings on both "main" and "advanced" have been unset, and my profiles are not enabled.
I've tried reinstalling both SetCPU and Superuser, and clearing the data for both apps. Still the same problem.
I'm not using the SetCPU widget.
Phone is SGS GT-I9000
Firmware is 2.2.1 I9000XXJPY with Voodoo 5.3
Kernel is 2.6.32.9 curio #1877
SetCPU is 2.1.0
Superuser is v2.3.6.1
su is v2.3.1-ef
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Hi have the Stock Jelly Bean update on 9020a.
Rooted with Busy Box 1.20.2 via Stericson's Busy Box Installer.
I'm trying to change the Governor and IO Scheduler and using Init.d to configure the phone on launch. However init.d does not seem to be working. I have to reset my changes after every reboot. If I set the NSTools app to change it by having the app start up on boot, It seems to work that way. But I'd prefer Init.d for obvious reasons.
bump
Any fixes?
Value of doubletap2wake file return to 0 when i restart my Nexus 5 how about set default doubletap2wake?
Hi,
With an init.d script or with an app like KControl (from the dev of Bricked kernel, it's the kernel you're using, right?), Trickster Mod (on the Play Store)...

Hum...?
Download it from the Play Store, then in the specific tab you'll have an option for all the DoubleTap2Wake, Swype2Wake stuff, active the setting you want then in settings of Trickster Mod (top right corner) choose the "apply on boot" option by ticking the case...

How to set the settings like cpu frequency after installing elementalx kernel?
I installed the elementalx by using TWRP recovery in my nexus 5 (android 5.0.1), but how to set the settings like set the CPU frequency and enable double tap to wake up? Should I install some apps?
If I want to update later, should I install the origin kernel?
Thank you!!!

From ElementalX thread:
The config file is located at /etc/elementalx.conf. You can edit this file to change kernel settings. Whatever is set in this file will take effect when the device is booted (unless other scripts or apps interfere!)
Read OP for more details.

I've been using ElementalX for some time. There's an app in the play store specifically for ElementalX kernel.
I always installed the kernel with default settings in AROMA installer since the app lets you tune all the values anyway

If I want to install another kernel, can I just install it in the recovery(using the install button in the recovery mode)? Should I clean the present kernel, then install another kernel in the recovery?
There are recommendations that you should dirty flash the original ROM (which then overwrites your current kernel with the stock one). If you're on stock Android (Vanilla), fastboot flash the boot.img from the appropriate factory image. Then use your recovery to install zip > choose your kernel zip.
I've always used the 'easy method' by just dirty-flashing the kernel I want to try. Worked fine all the time [emoji14]
i edit the ram and cpu many things and want to save the settings of what i did to load it agine if i reinstall another rom
so dos kernel adiutor profile can be saved and loaded?
