Phone reboots after pressing power button or recent app button - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

Just like the title says. I'm using mm 6.0.1., stock, non-rooted. This started after I uninstalled Good Lock App from Galaxy App store. I already wiped cache using the up/home/power button method. I wiped the cache in Galaxy App app, I wiped the cache in Googles App store app for S'n'G's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And thank you in advance.
Update: Just reinstalled Good lock from the Galaxy App Store to see if it would restore the power button and recent app. It restored the recent app, but not the power button. To clarify, when I hold the power button down, it does not give me the option to power off/ restart etc. It just reboots and starts at the Sprint Screen. Trying to find solution before I have to do a factory reset.
Update: Will probably do a factory reset. All sorts of problems now. When I try to transfer files, open other programs, it all leads to a reboot. A real FUBAR. Not sure if this has to do with it as well. I use the Package Disable Pro App, when I upgraded to MM 6.0.1, I forgot to enable all my packages. I re-enabled them now to see if that would solve my dilemma, but it does not. So I will go through a factory reset and update how it comes out.
Update: I was able to finally do a factory reset after some trial and error. Will probably not use that Good Lock app until there is a more stable version. Everything seems to be back to normal, power button works fine and no more reboots by accessing apps or settings.

For future reference if you open the good lock app from the app drawer there's an option to uninstall it.

I knew that already, and I did. That is how this whole problem started. I mentioned that I did uninstall in my original post. Thanks for the obvious.

Yeah the same thing was happening to me after I updated to marshmellow. What I did to fix it was just reinstall the tar file here on XDA and it works fine after

please help! com.android.phone and process.acore stopped

att one x, rooted and bootloader just unlocked. i had just restored a titanium backup when it suggested a reboot. after the reboot i get the messages com.android.phone and process.acore have stopped. then the phone reboots and the same messages again. anybody know how to get out of this loop?
We're you restoring Titanium Backup to a new ROM? It sounds like you could have accidentally installed the past phone application or other system applications. I suggest restoring again and checking the apps that are being restored

Hope you have not restored system apps or data... just do a factory reset... and restore only user apps... also u have not mentioned about whether you installed any new ROM, if yes then app data compatibility issue may crop up between different ROMs . Try the first solution first however....

i cant get the phone to stop rebooting long enough to do anything ive tried to do a factory reset and clear storage but all i get is an htc warning about development purposes
Can you get into the downloader? I'm prettysute you can access it by holding do the sleep/wake button and the volume button for about 30 seconds to a minute

Hold down the power button until the capacitive buttons start blinking (about 5 seconds). Keep holding it until the phone shuts off. The phone will be off for a few seconds, then reboot. While its off (screen and buttons dark), hold the volume down rocker. Don't release it until you see the white bootloader screen, you can factory reset from there, or go into recovery and do it.
solution
use cwm recovery reset everything(including data,system,cache..) ,switch to twrp and install any rom and see it working.it worked for me too(i had this problem).

[Q] Lock Screen not working on Android 5.0 with Root

Hi,
I'm using an unlocked Nexus 5, and flashed as soon as the factory image was released. I used CF-Autoroot to gain root access.
The problem that I'm having is that the lock screen does not work. This means that when I lock the phone (power button), it just fades to black, but when I hit the button again (either immediately, or after a wait), I go straight to where I was, the lock screen does not activate no matter what I do. I've tried letting it time out, still no luck.
When I restart the phone, it shows the lock screen, but sounds like something is trying to unlock the phone, and the phone then unlocks and doesn't lock again. I've tried disabling all Device Administrators, with no luck. I tried a factory reset and then a re-flash followed by another factory reset, and the problem still persists. I've also tried toggling Smart Lock on and off, still no change.
If I go to the security settings and re-select a Screen Lock mode, then the lock screen shows up again, but after I unlock, it goes away never to return.
This has been extremely frustrating, since Smart Lock was one of the features I was most looking forward to. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
The current Root apps that I use are:
1. SuperSU (obviously) 2.23 BETA
2. BusyBox Free
3. AutomateIt Pro
4. Greenify
5. Power Toggles
6. AdAway
7. Titanium Backup
Another note: After the factory-reset, wipe, flash, factory-reset that I did, I restored all non-system Apps and data with Titanium Backup. Just putting this here in case you guys know of any app that causes this problem.

First of all, your English is not so bad
The main thing is you have been attacked by a malware. Reboot your phone into the recovery mode and select all things starting with wipe.
May be this helps you
And avoid downloading app from any third grade third party app store

Thanks for answer ,but.....
I have installed Avast Mobile Security ,scanned phone and nothing found ,
Downloaded MalwareBytes ,scanned and found 1 malware (called kapk).
Than I decided to connect the phone to USB with PC and root them again.
After root ,i have downloaded Clean Master and tried to Uninstall this app (kapk) and app called Settings (which is appear every time when I reset phone to factory sett.).
But I can't uninstall them it says: Unable to Uninstall .
Than I go to recovery and choose Wipe cache partition and reset it again ,directly from recovery.
But apps again installed after 2 minutes of using phone. (Installed only two apps not more like before, now: Lucky Try and fake Settings).
Try Flashing the Stock ROM
May be this helps
Thanks..
Any other idea to fix it?

You should flash the stock firmware in ANY case to get rid of the malware.

[Q] Issues after upgrading to LMY47I

Hi All,
I did an upgrade to 5.1 (LMY47I) on my Nexus 5 and started facing some strange issues and have no clue on how to resolve them. Before the upgrade I had the following config:
Recovery: TWRP
Root status: Rooted
ROM: Stock 5.0 LRX22C
I used following method for the upgrade: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...e-update-rooted-device-to-5-1-lmy47d-t3050789
It was successful but post that I came across few issues as below:
1. Power button functionality was erratic. Sometimes it would lock my mobile but at other times it was locking and waking up my phone immediately. At times "Power Off" popup was also showing up. While I tried to figure out reason for that, trying power button multiple times, my phone rebooted and started the "Optimising Apps" sequence once again. It happened again a couple of times and so I decided to try out factory reset (since I hadn't done that after upgrading).
2. I did a factory rest from Settings. After factory reset, apps and other settings were gone but I noticed that user data in the storage was intact. I guess that also gets removed on a factory reset. Am I wrong on this one?
3. I wanted to install Cerberus as a system app and so I downloaded its zip from the website and flashed using recovery. I was surprised to see that the app wasn't showing after booting up. I tried couple of times more but got no success. So, I decided to install it from Play store and convert to system app using Link2SD. When I tried doing that, Link2SD gave me an error saying "/system: not enough storage space". I tried converting few other apps but got same error. Any thoughts on what could be going on here?
Thanks,
Anurag

1- Possibly hardware (power key) issue
2- Factory reset from Android OS *should* erase all user data.
3- Its just that, /system does not have enough free space to put more apps in there. Common issue after Lollipop. Remove some other app from /system, such as Maps, for example, to free up some more space. Be reminded that once you start messing with /system, this will (or might) cause issues with OTA updates.
So I managed to tackle (or at least figured the reason) for all the issues I was having:
1- Yes, there is some issue with the power key. ? But the other issue of optimising apps loop was because I did not do a clean install which disappeared when I did the factory reset after that.
2- After doing some reading on the Internet, I came to know that stock recovery cleans the user data but twrp doesn't by default. Since I had twrp, it just removed apps and settings but retained other data. In order to do a clean install I flashed stock LMY47I again including recovery, userdata etc. (used flash-all.bat). This removed everything from storage and made my phone as good as a new one (software wise).
3- Yes, it was the issue with storage space and was a surprise for me. Thanks for clarifying on that. Before I did a clean install, I tried removing couple of system apps and was able to install cerberus after that via recovery too. However, clean install solved everything.. ☺

One UI update - accessing recovery menu!

Hi I have just installed the latest update from settings - software update, with Jan security patch but when I turn off and restart holding power and up, it no longer goes to system boot menu which allows you to clear cache or factory restart.
I also have an error once restarted :
pdp back up fail set up wizard.
Any ideas?
Is there a way to reinstall the update or finding another way to clear app partition or am I forced into a factory reset?
thx
Hm, just checked and same here.
Did you try to do that using adb?

No it was a forced update through software update settings. Just done a factory reset (what a ballsache) and its still the same with same error with no access to clearing cache partition.
There is now a requirement to plug in the power before you can access the recovery menu. Works as just tried.
Confirmed by Samsung Members app incident which i logged.
