Ok so I bought a new samsung s5 I checked everything and I'm pretty sure it's original.
So, I was about to root it when I got into download mode and realized it said the device model was SM-G900P but the thing is in the about device menu it says it's 900F. I took out the battery and checked and it says it's a 900F.
Therefore I'm confused. I don't know what to do since I don't wanna brick it. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks in advance

Hey, sorry if I posted this in the wrong place but I couldn't find my model anywhere, basically my problem is my phone is stuck in a cwm recovery menu loop, but I can get it into download mode.
Model: SGH-i757m
Carrier: Bell
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S2
I was gonna try to use this this stock rom, would like to know if it is good?
allkindfile(dot)blogspot(dot)ca/2012/07/i757muglca-bell-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-hd(dot)html
Any suggestions would be much much appreciated.

Hello I have been trying to figure this out for the past little while i was dumb and forgot to backup my efs partition. I flashed a rom and unlocked the device as it was originally locked to rogers after this my serial number is missing and i get a message saying no service. it then changes to no sim card. i think most of my problem is rooting from the missing serial number I have been looking on google and through these forums but have been unable to find something. Some help or a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you i thought this was it reposted over there
Whats up guys Im new to the forums Im not sure if this is the right spot for this topic but iv just only recently figured out about rooting. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon, could any specify me to a page or something where I can find out how to root this phone or to files that I need to root this phone. What are the perks of rooting I already know some, plus will this void my warranty, and is it true that if u unroot your phone before sending it in to your carrier for whatever reason they wont find out you rooted your phone? Thanks for the help to whoever replies.

You can find everything if you make a little search.
See here:
S5 development
And I find a rom, see it's easy.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799860
And for root, root it like other S5 devices.

Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
To best assist you and guide you to the proper forum for your question, I will need you to provide the exact model of your phone. You have provided galaxy sm and that is not enough info.
Thanks.

I would say buy a new phone. That phone is the manufactured anymore and the root problem is hard to get rid of. Possibly if you try another firmware change
