Hi all,
I have a rooted Le 1s and I was wondering if anyone has managed to activate the soft nav keys on this phone.
I have tried modifying the Build.prop file and adding the qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 line. But after saving the file and rebooting the phone, I still do not have the soft keys.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance to anyone that might know.
emu.hw.mainkeys=0 is already there in the build.prop. U will have to make the value to 1 for it to work. I just know this method.
Use Xposed installer!
Use Xposed installer and lollipop navigation bar module which can be found here http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/com.ash.androidlnavigationbar_v9_69cb85.apk
Install this module and reboot your phone.
Enjoy :silly:

Thanks for the reply. I did see the line in the build.prop file. I have tried changing it to both 0 and 1 and still no luck after both tries.
It's very strange. I have done this before on the 3 previous smartphone I have owned and this is the first time it does not work. It makes me wonder if Letv did something to their version of Android that is preventing this.

Thanks for the info.
However, I installed the xposed module you suggested and rebooted the phone and there is no nav bar still.
In the app itself it is mentioned that this module requires that you already have a nav bar present and tells you to add the qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 line to your build.prop file. And as I've mentioned before, this is not working for me.
I was able to enable soft navbar using gravitybox lollipop. But couldnt disable hard navbar from the generic file

Thanks. This worked perfectly. I was weary of using GB on such a modified Android as EUI, but this did the trick.

Open root explorer>>data>>app>>copy Xposed apps to sdcard

Comparatively, few modules are there for gb. Also, the app is (primarily)developed for higher android versions(ICS & above). So FCs are expected for such lower versions like gb.:sly:
I'm using xposed for more than a month now, no force-close on GB whatsoever.
Its a problem with the rom you are using, xposed is meant for roms as close to aosp as possible.
Also, try installing static busybox from the main thread of xposed. It will fix all the busybox issues.

These modules are saved on the sdcard in the download folder. The app collapsing issue is quite common I see. Try reinstalling the app and even if the app still FC's just browse to the downloaded module and install it manually.

Yes you can achieve that using xposed ... Download exposed installer apk. Install it and restart tablet. and inside download options, download a module called phab7. Then choose phone as default mode. It will prompt you to click on change... System ui will restart and will take you to lock screen... Enjoy ???

Hello XDA,
I'd like to share with you this quick, easy tutorial about how to enable Google Now on Tap and Cards in every country and network carrier that doesn't support this service.
But first of all you must be on Lollipop or Marshmallow based ROM (I assume you are)
And most importantly you MUST be rooted. What is root? Just Google it. Do it only when you know what you're doing I'm not responsible for anything goes wrong with the process of rooting. But this tutorial itself is not harmful.
What you need is an app called Market Unlocker (attached below) simply download and install it..... And you MUST have a SIM inserted at least one (I assume you have one already)
Step1: Remove ALL your google accounts. This is EXTREMELY important.
Step2: Open the app you just installed (Market Unlocker)
Step3: Enable the unlocker to USA Verizon.
Step4: Give it root permissions.
Step5: Reboot your system.
Step6: Press your search button (hold home button on nav bar)
Step7: Tap on get started and add your google account.
Step8: Enjoy Now on Tap and Cards.
PS1: you can uninstall Market Unlocker app but don't disable it. Just keep it enabled and uninstall it. Otherwise, you WILL lost Now on Tap and Cards.
PS2: these steps doesn't modify your EFS data which means when you perform a factory reset or clean flash a new ROM, you have to do the process all over again.
61 views...... Did anyone try it?
Well, it works, it has worked for a long time, but this is not a quick and easy tutorial if it includes rooting.

Hi,
I am happy to share my Framework-res mod, specific for Oneplus 7 Pro.
My work includes the following changes:
- Disabled keyboard switcher notification
- Disabled high volume warning
- Enabled display burnin protection
- Changed battery notification low level from 15% to 10%
- Enabled 360° rotation
For the version with low-height navigation bar (38dp) you will find more details and screenshots here: Post 42
It is a magisk module and I want to repeat that it can only be used on Oneplus 7 Pro.
I'm trying it and it doesn't seem to show any problems but I still recommend making a backup before trying it.
To remove the mod, simply uninstall the module using magisk manager or, if this is not usable, from recovery twrp, using the file manager deleting the module "Framework-res mods" that you find at the following path:
/data/adb/modules
My big thanks go to @Tulsadiver, for giving me the right tips to be able to make the mod and for passing me the VRThemer module, without His help I would not have been able to avoid the bootloop
Attention each module you find in this post is specific to the firmware indicated in the file name, with each new firmware it will be my concern to release the new updated module.
P.S. If you want the mod for other firmware versions, please send me your framework-res.apk and I will prepare the specific module.
If you want to try making the mod yourself, check out the tutorial here
Flashing always at your own risk!!!
I uploaded a ss of my installed modules, when I installed yours it sent me into a boot loop. I'm not super interested in figuring out why, I was just curious about your module so lol

My module modifies the framework-res.apk stock, to know why you have a bootloop, it would be useful to exclude the framework modules and then it is important to remember that the mod is specific for the openbeta 18 firmware. I use it without problems with other modules installed .

Thanks ... honestly I have no idea how to do, decompile and edit the framework-res is quite simple but being able to compile it without causing bootloop was laborious, at least for me, it is a very delicate apk. If anyone knows how to make this script, I have no problem sharing the changes I made.

I'm on 10.3.5 on a 7 Pro. Would you be able to make a mod for this firmware? If so, would you be able to add a charging "flash" instead of having to use the battery icon? I prefer the battery percentage instead of the icon, but without the icon, there is no way to tell if you are charging.

Surely you can create the mod, I need the framework-res.apk of firmware 10.3.5, if you have the opportunity to extract it and share it, I make the specific module. As for the charging icon, I should check, I don't know if it's managed by the framework or by the systemui. If it is managed by the systemui I cannot edit it, you could do something with substratum theme but I have no knowledge of these mods.
