Hi,
I am running CM13 snapshot on bacon. Root is disabled but MobileIron detects it and refuses to install secure app manager.
Is there a way to sandbox it in any way or some other workaround? Tried Xposed Rootcloak but it doesn't help.
Thanks

You can try using Sultan CM13 build. It's based on Snapshot and built in root is completely removed

Hey all
I'm tryin to install xposed framework. But I keep on getting the error "Failed to get root access"
I'm a noob here, so i'm not too sure what is going on. I am rooted on omnirom using twrp bootloader. I'm pretty sure I've done everything right as far as rooting.
Any ideas?
thanks in advanced.
Can other apps get root access? Titanium backup for example?

Are you using the ART runtime? Because Xposed is not compatible with it.
EDIT: I missed where this was a root problem. But my statement still stands. lol

hey guys thanks for replying.
Titanium backup works. When I installed it right now, SuperSU asked for permission. I granted.
I noticed that for Fast/Auto app install: it has a red x and says HyperShell needed. Does that have anything to do with it?
And I am not runnning ART runtime lol

I don't know much on this topic but I think simply flashing a 5.0 gapps package would work

you could unzip the gapps and move the apps manually into the system apps folder, fix permissions, then reboot. dont try to install, system apps install themselves on reboot.
im thinking, some will work and some may not. i believe for some of the apps, there are other files the gapps install, you should see them in the gapps package, but i dont know where they need to be placed. maybe you can look at other apps to find similar files and place the new ones in the appropriate places.
i would make sure you have some way to recover your phone first. you just never know what might happen when dropping non native things into the system.

have framework, think it might be a permission issue but not sure
if flashfire would work would be more simple but it doesnt recognize kingroot
and supersu can't get the bineris updated

Kingroot prevents supersu from doing so.... Well why don't you try to push the files manually now as it looks the only way available currently
Hello guys, I just got my moto g3 (xt1550) on 21st and i unlocked bootloader, flashed twrp and rooted it the same day
I installed busybox, viper4android, terminal, and adaway (though i removed it the same day as it affects developers money). Can you guys please suggest me some essential rooted/unrooted apps for this device?
I'm currently using stock ROM but couldn't keep my hands off the features of a custom one. I want to try all the ROMs but I'm on a vacation so limited bandwidth here. Pls suggest me a custom ROM and kernel too.
Thank you for bearing this long post.
Two of the first things I install after root is Titanium Backup and Xposed. With Xposed I then install Greenaway and Gravitybox modules.

Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded the latest apk from it's website.
You need to flash in recovery the latest version, xposed-v79-sdk22-arm.zip I think, then boot into system and install Xposedinstaller-3.0-alpa4.apk

Try cm13 its stable

Heyo,
Anyone had luck fixing private mode not working with root?
The old xsecurestorage module doesn't seem to do the trick anymore.
Any ideas welcome!

It works on my rooted s7 but you can try out an xposed module called "xtouchwiz". In that module's security hacks you can fake the system status to official and see if it helps or not.

I'll give it a crack. Thanks.
Are you using xsecure or just working rooted without any fixes?

I'm on a custom rom with xposed, but didn't have any problems in root either. But if the module doesn't work, you can try to flash a custom rom and see if it then works.
i think that it is a bug
On S5 secure storage work with Root and Xposed without any Xposed Module. You only must do a factory Reset. Or deleze some files in Data Partition.

Did you solve this? I think it has something to do with xposed. Private mode has been working with root for me but since I installed xposed, I have problems. What did you find out?

It includes decompiling apks, so best way is to use a custom kernel which already supports this from beginning

Greetings and welcome to xda. There are 2 methods I know of.
You can install xposed framework and use one of the xposed pokemon modules
You can use Magisk to temporarily remove root while you use pokemon.
If you decide to use xposed there are several different pokemon modules that can spoof the app in different ways
Good Luck

Have you tried asking your rom developer, he may have a solution. I know some roms need a modded xposed but haven't heard of issues with magisk
