Unfortunately nfc service has stopped. Having trouble on galaxy s5. Tried going back to previous firmware android 5.0, flashed in odin. Ever since, I cant get past the lockscreen because of this error about the NFC. Also, I can't get into recovery mode.

You can try to wipe cache (and dalvik if you have a custom recovery and are using dalvik).
If you register on xda, you can post in the [SUPPORT THREAD] The Galaxy ~S5~ All in one support thread!**NOOB FRIENDLY** thread.
There you will get quick and proper help of experienced user having the same device like you (and me ).
But please provide more information about the exact device name and model, and the firmware it's running on.

[Completed] *HELP* Towelroot Method: Rooting AT&T Galaxy S5

Hi, I need some help with the towelroot method for rooting a AT&T Galaxy S5. I'm currently on Android Version 5.0. When I ran the v3 Towelroot I clicked on "make it rain" and then it said "Device not supported". I tried using the modstrings but they didn't work either and kept saying the same thing. I'm new to the whole rooting thing, I just need some help from experienced on how to fix this. Thanks for the help.

[Completed] Why did my SIM unlock not survive a TWRP restore back to custom ROM?

I restored to a factory backup so I could SIM unlock a Galaxy S5. The unlock was accepted... I gave it a minute to connect to the network and everything appeared fine so I powered off and then restored a backup of my custom ROM... and when I booted up again, it was asking for SIM unlock code again?
Not really sure how I should proceed at this point! Thanks.
