People i know haven't even unlocked their bootloader
But can't update?
me too, have the same problem.
I'll just flash the 4.4.4 EU image for my XT1032...
and I'll do the same thing for when lollipop comes around
Its look like you must reset factory then direct updating your firmware..
have you unroot and relocked your bootloader?
Try restoring to stock: Flash 4.4.3, go to stock recovery and try to make the update search, if this is not working do a clean flash (wipe cache+userdata) and try to update, some time ago i noticed that cannot update the firmware of my 4.4.2 because the cmw recovery, then wiped cache and intalled stock recovery and everything went fine
To receive OTA updates device should be only on stock recovery no cmw, no twrp. Try to install stock recovery with fresh stock rom, and remember to enable any disabled system apps (if any) like Motorola services, Motorola OTA, then only you will able to receive and install updates....
You need the stock recovery

XT1031 failed to flash stock 5.1

I first restore to stock 4.4.4 from CM11 by manually flashing falcon_boost_user_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.57_57_release-keys-cid9.xml.zip. Everything worked.
After that, I try to upgrade to stock 5.1 by manually flashing XT1031_FALCON_BOOST_5.1_LPB23.13-56_cid9_CFC.xml.zip with mfastboot. Every part seemed to flashed successfully, but when it is finished, it won't boot and stuck at bootloader unlocked screen.
Now I cannot downgrade to 4.4.4 since the gpt.bin and motoboot.bin all failed preflash verification. I guess the bootloader won't allow downgrade. Even with all other parts successfully flashed, it is still stuck at booloader unlocked screen.
I also tried to flash twrp 2.8.7.0, but it also failed due to partition size different. (Is it because twrp can only be flashed under 4.4.4 bootloader?)
So I am stuck now. Please help me. How do I flash stock 5.1 and later CM12.1? Thanks in advance.
Try flashing the firmware with RSD Lite and see what happens.
Sent from my XT1031
Fixed. I found a stock rom 4.4.4 downgrade package from here.
https://www.reddit.com/r/MotoG/comments/3omnox/moto_g_xt1031_boost_lollipop_stock_rom/
It has same contents as the 4.4.4 stock rom package I downloaded from filefactory, except there is a fastboot.exe boundled in this package (dated 6/25/2014) that is newer than the one I was using (dated 3/20/2013). This one successfully restored my XT1031 to 4.4.4 stock.
Flashed of twrp and also flashed stock 5.1 optimized from twrp. Both went well.

Have TWRP, cannot instal OTA update

Hi, guys!
Have TWRP, B324 and want to install the B331 OTA. I downloaded the zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-mt7-l09-l10-stock-firmware-ota-t3275784 but it fails to flash (with file_getprop error). Any ideas?
Flash Stock Recovery and try again
Can't do an OTA without stock recovery.

I want to ask if you have a functional "Motion Control" and if so, whether it would be possible to provide TWRP Backup.

Of course you can do it only with the Stock Recovery
Thanks.

Needed: help and stock recovery B560

Hi all,
I am in need of the stock recovery for the B560 firmware for the MT7-L09.
I flashed TWRP 3.0.2 for my mate and that went fine. Then I flashed the Beta SuperSU 2.64 from TWRP, and my phone does not recognise my sim card anymore. It also did not want to go into settings.
I ran a restore I made just before installing SuperSU, but it still does not recognise my SIM card - which does work, I checked.
So I think I need to flash a stock recovery and then the B560 again?
But I do not have the stock recovery img unfortunately...
Who can help me with advice and a recovery.img?
OK! I extracted the recovery.img from the UPDATE.app I downloaded from carbontesla. Flashed it and forced the B560 firmware and now everything is working.
Does anyone know a foolproof way to root the MT7-L09?
