You have to flash B316 stock rom and stock recovery in order to be able to upgrade. Not from OTA, you need to flash full stable rom.
Then put the zip file in sdcard/dload folder. You can also put it in root of your sdcard.
Power off your phone and then press VolumeUP (+), VolumeDown(-) and power button, release them as soon as the Honor Logo appears.
The software installation process will start.
WARNING: This is not a stable version of EMUI so you should also have the rollback file in order to downgrade if necessary. The first beta version of EMUI 3.1 is B505 for H60-L02. If you are willing to upgrade to B506, the second version of beta EMUI3.1, proceed with caution. The rollback zip for L02 version is not available yet, so do NOT try to downgrade.

First of all there is a master package called Bypass(CHC-U03) thats works on any version of Kitkat and Lollipop. On Marshmallow it doesn't work. There is a seperate package downgrade pack for marsmallow available.
As we know there are 2 Variants available -
1. Honor 4C (CHM -U01)
2. Huawei G Play Mini (CHC-U01)
They both are based on same config just the build no. Is different. But the process for installing rom is same. If your device is Honor 4C you will chose CHM Pack and if yours is G Play mini chose CHC pack. All upgrade and Downgrade package is available on Huawei official site.
### How to install Full update package ###

Upgrading or downgrading will remove all of your data located on internal storage. But there is a way that should work!
Use Huawei's official backup app : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.huawei.KoBackup
Than after creating a backup file you are ok to go forword to downgrade. The thread need some update as there are some new firmwares available. If you are CHM User then Your kitkat version is CHM B190 and for CHC it's CHC B182.

When I installed the downgrade package, I lost my SIM card function and the phone kept rebooting everytime i did any operation. So I installed the Lollipop version through the 3 button method, but still no SIM cards. Any ideas? I have beautiful brick on my desk right now :\
HELP!
Hi, i have a CHC-U03, the device was in a loop on the huawei logo, and i cant install the update with the sd card, cause the three button method doesnt work in my device (i really dont know why), i download the Huawei Update Extractor and use a rom from Movistar Chile in fastboot mode flashing the BOOT.img, CUST.img RECOVERY.img and the SYSTEM.img and everything works fine, but i made a huge mistake trying to update the system with a rom of a CHM-U01 and the device get back again to the loop in the Huawei Logo, so i tried to made the fastboot method again and when i want to flash the CUST.img it FAILED.
i need a solution please, or any advice !!

Official Nougat firmware for Honor 8 (FRD-L04; USA)

Hi,
Does anybody know when the official Nougat firmware will be available for the Honor 8 US Model (FRD-L04)?
I received the Nougat update via OTA back in February but downgraded to Marshmallow due to battery drain issues. I haven't received the update via OTA again, so I'm looking for official Nougat firmware to try it manually.

You can try Firmware finder to have the latest firmware.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
I received OTA Update of B385 on my L04 couple of months back in Karachi, Pakistan
I have downgraded multiple times to Marshmallow and have always reviewed the OTA update.
Incase you're not recieving it, unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP. Then use Firmware Finder to download the firmware shown in the screenshot below. Flash all the downloaded files using TWRP. You will be updated to nougat without wiping anything.
(In future, remember that all firmwares that end with PV can be flashed using TWRP)
Thanks for the suggestion on using FirmwareFinder.
I tried different packages from FirmwareFinder but the installation stops at around 5-6% and throws an error saying it's not compatible, even though I seem to have selected a FRD-L04 compatible Nougat package. So I gave up on that.
I'm a bit surprised to read comments that OTA update has been pushed even after downgrading to MarshMallow several times. I downgraded sometime around March and haven't received OTA update not even once (in the US).

Ah dload won't work to install the Nougat update.
As I said, unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP recovery. Then install those zip files from TWRP as you would install a custom ROM. However, instead of installing B360, you can install B385 update to be on the latest version. Use Firmware Finder to download the update but ensure that the update is FullOTA-MF-PV as shown in the screenshot attached.
Or if you don't want to unlock the bootloader, then no problem. When you hit the firmware in Firmware Finder, along with Download there are other options too. Select 'Get an update through DNS' and follow the instructions.

You won't get any Nougat upgrade notification until you update your device up to B162 which is the last MM version for your FRD-L04C567.
If your device is stock and locked you just need to push the B162 FullOTA (version 66280) using Firmware Finder proxy installation method. Then you should get the B360 update notification. But if for some weird reason the notification doesn't come up automatically, then go ahead and push the B360 FullOTA (version 72309) using the same FF proxy method. For B385 (version 83098) it will be the same procedure.
I've done it myself before and it works.

Hey guys
Iam get my new phone rebranding from AL-00 to Frd-l19 At MM 6.0 Emui 4.1 and get update nougat give me that firmware Frd-l19c432b360 and nothing update again ?!
Is that right guys or i have a problem ?!
My phone 4/32GB
Hello radhaddiab
I advise you to rebrand your FRD-AL00 phone to FRD-L09 (C432B131) and maybe you will have a more recent OTA update.
And IMHO, you should try to update to B380 (Above this version, it can sadly bootloop with rebranded China models - AL00 and AL10 - of Honor 8).
I have one AL00 phone too, rebranded to L09 (C432B131), and OTA update find B390+ firmware to install. (if installed, phone bootloop for me...)
But if I go to "Menu" (of Updater App) and click on "Donwload the full update package", I get the B380 firmware to download. After update, do a "Factory reset" (recommended).
If no luck with OTA updates, try the "RedLotus" method (requires a computer): https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-flashing-unapproved-firmwares-t3668306
You must dowload and install HiSuite v5.0.1.300, not the latest one: https://www.filehorse.com/download-hisuite/28890/
With C432B380 "filelist.xml" link:
For L19 > http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v77475/f2/full/filelist.xml
For L09 > http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v77476/f1/full/filelist.xml
Good luck! =)

If no luck with OTA updates, try the "RedLotus" method (requires a computer): https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-flashing-unapproved-firmwares-t3668306
You must dowload and install HiSuite v5.0.1.300, not the latest one: https://www.filehorse.com/download-hisuite/28890/
With C432B380 "filelist.xml" link:
For L19 > http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v77475/f2/full/filelist.xml
For L09 > http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v77476/f1/full/filelist.xml
Good luck! =)

I only advise you L09, because you have AL00 model (32 GB internal memory). If it was AL10 model, I would advise L19. (64 GB)
But... that's not really important. ^^
And trying L09 can give you a different OTA firmware update than L19. But it's safe to update up to B380 (not more), that's all.
If you bootloop because you tried to install a more recent firmware, you can always "rollback" to B131.

With a rebranded china model to any Lxx model : B380 is the last safe update I know working, actually.
I think it's possible to have a more recent update if you revert your rebrand (to original AL00 model); Last AL00 stock firmware is B396.
Yeah it's sad... :crying:
