Hi,
First of all i am very new to XDA Developers forum, I have very little knowledge of rooting of android devices.
I have Coolpad Dazen 1 (8297-I00), i want to install MIUI7 in my phone, so I have follow the steps (Got from this forum only).
I have successfully root my phone, in the next step i have tried to install CWM recovery (I really do't understand this, i have just followed the steps), for which i installed one recover.apk app, and places the recover.img file in my root directory of phone memory (i did not used the sd card for that).
I have followed the steps to install that recover. But now my phone is stuck on the screen,
When i am pressing power+vol up+vol down key together i am getting the message displayed on phone screen thta, "Do you want to download & Install the package"
"Vol up key to confirm" Vol down key to cancel.
1. When i am pressing vol down key its power off the phone.
2. When i am pressing vol up ki its stucking on the scree, where messge is coming--> "Information, Do not disconnect the data cable"
Please help me to solve this issue.

Use the methods mentioned in My Android solutions
0) All Problems :- Do the First Step - can solve many problems that you may have
1) Problem:- Cannot enter Download or Recovery Mode
use ADB or reboot tool in above link, once in download mode flash the correct stock ROM for your model

Hello everybody,
i have rooted my GT N7000 and installed carbon rom but now for some reason i want to switch back. when i try to enter recovery mode. it is not entering. it says as "warning...... press volume up for download and volume down for reboot" which ever i press nothing happens. please help me to boot in recovery mode so that i can restore.

Thanks for the info. i got a solution from rootgalaxynote.com i did install kernel via ODIN in download mode and now it is fine. thanks once again.

I m KARAN DEWANI and this post is for those who want a CWM recovery for their iball andi 4.5q and mtk firmware.
Any Android devices today has their own in-built CWM recovery utility ,through which can u install Rom, backup your old stock firmware and install a new one.
To boot into recovery, you just simply have to switch off your phone and then hold power button as well as the volume down button(in my case power + volume up).....
I-Ball andi 4.5q does not have an inbuilt CWM recovery as it is based on an old MTK firmware, so you cannot
do any tweakings like creating back up,etc.
Hence,carliv has made a recovery for mtk firmwares.

download recovery here - links after 10 posts completed
now lets get started,
1)download the recovery from above
2)place it in root of your SD card(SD card/place here)
3)download mobile uncle tools from play store
4)In mobile uncle tools, go to recovery update
5)select CWM recovery.img
6)Now boot into recovery mode,then you will get something like this
IT'S DONE ENJOY TWEAKING YOUR PHONE AS MUCH AS YOU WANT............. :laugh:

ROOT check :
My problem is : I am unable to install custom recovery and ROM in this device .
First i tried to make backup and get root access by mtk droid tools (grated root access by SU) , but i got this error - .
Some searching lead me to fastboot method , but i got this -
But SP Flash tool shows 'OK' green circle box when i tried it . I also tried ' flashify' app it did something to y phone , now recovery mode is not available . When i try to enter into revocry mode a blank screen appears for a sec and then phone just starts in normal mode.
Please help me out guys , this mob a tons of bloatware and a heating issue .. also the default phone ROM is very faulty , for ex options like - power+ , wi-fi direct are not given .
please i m not good in this field , i really hope i could get some help here .

I am new here and found the forum via a google search for a solution on the boot issue.
The device has been working perfectly for a year and 6 months, until yesterday it crashed. It is now stuck on a recovery/boot screen and the 1st & 4th options below have no effect.
Onscreen display lists the following. (tried to upload image but was unable to due to new poster)
Volume up/down or short power button to move highlight:
Long power button to select:
reboot system now
update system/mcu image from sdcard
update system/mcu image from usb
recovery system from backup
recovery system v4.4.22
failed to mount /mnt/external_sd (no such device)
failed to mount /mnt/external_sd (no such device)
failed to mount /mnt/external_sd (no such device)
I read on another thread that i need the MCU for this unit, but currently have no way to get to the settings menu to retrieve this?
Any idea's on how i can resolve this?
