Hi All, has anyone gotten Xposed working on the H900? I saw some threads for other variations but wasnt sure about ours.
Thanks.,
Yes it works there's a thread floating around which tells you to use flashfire and install I believe closed framework 80 then just install the .apk

Hey all
I'm tryin to install xposed framework. But I keep on getting the error "Failed to get root access"
I'm a noob here, so i'm not too sure what is going on. I am rooted on omnirom using twrp bootloader. I'm pretty sure I've done everything right as far as rooting.
Any ideas?
thanks in advanced.
Can other apps get root access? Titanium backup for example?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Are you using the ART runtime? Because Xposed is not compatible with it.
EDIT: I missed where this was a root problem. But my statement still stands. lol

hey guys thanks for replying.
Titanium backup works. When I installed it right now, SuperSU asked for permission. I granted.
I noticed that for Fast/Auto app install: it has a red x and says HyperShell needed. Does that have anything to do with it?
And I am not runnning ART runtime lol

Weird, I reinstalled SuperSU and installed the SuperSU free app and now it works. What gives? haha
Thanks for your guys' quick responses! Great forum!
Now that it looks like we have root we can try to use wanam xposed files to try to install the frameworks as its built for the s6 and other 64 bit processors. For those who want to try go here and make sure to hit the thanks.

Not Xposed on Samsung ROMs because of how they implemented some things in ART and the .oat files.

If wanam, the guy that works on unofficial Xposed for Samsung 5.1.1 devices says that it has to be deodexed to work, then that's the case. So there's no way you're successfully running Xposed on an odexed ROM, nice try.

You have to install it in recovery with lollipop. Make sure you get the latest version as it plays well with lg phones.

Its actually been working i.e the xposed framework, i was using kitkat software for lollipop xposed framework. Really appreciate your help.

Glad you got it fixed but please next time post in the proper section. Also make sure you know what you are doing. A simple thing like that can easily leave you bricked with no way to recover

I don't know much on this topic but I think simply flashing a 5.0 gapps package would work

you could unzip the gapps and move the apps manually into the system apps folder, fix permissions, then reboot. dont try to install, system apps install themselves on reboot.
im thinking, some will work and some may not. i believe for some of the apps, there are other files the gapps install, you should see them in the gapps package, but i dont know where they need to be placed. maybe you can look at other apps to find similar files and place the new ones in the appropriate places.
i would make sure you have some way to recover your phone first. you just never know what might happen when dropping non native things into the system.

if flashfire would work would be more simple but it doesnt recognize kingroot
and supersu can't get the bineris updated

Kingroot prevents supersu from doing so.... Well why don't you try to push the files manually now as it looks the only way available currently
Here is the latest firmware for the N920T (N920TUVU4DPK6).
This is uploaded to the super quick Android File Host.
You need Odin to flash this!
If you are not sure how to flash this please see the many other guides on this forum.
Download Note 5 N920T N920TUVU4DPK6 MarshMallow Firmware
Why is it a .zip? Are you sure this is for Odin use?

That is for compression purposes, you have to extract the zipfile.
Thanks for replying, I actually did unzip this before leaving my comment, it looks like a custom Rom on my end complete with super su and everything also no .tar or .md5 in the archive, no worries I found a different link and already updated the phone. Just wanted to give a heads up to the OP

is there anyway to root it
Hi.
How do you root this version?
Thanks
There are guides to rooting the note 5 in this forum.. just have to look for them.
THERE IS a guide on rooting dpk6 however its deeply engranded and convoluted cause everyone did root ages ago before these updates....before we all jumped back on our note5....after note7 lmao
Quick question. What is HFA?

will my samsung pay work again?
No.
No.
Samsung and Android Pay require a level of security that is broken when you root your device.
The ONLY way to get them to work is to unroot your phone and go to the stock “out of the box” version. Meaning, no root.
How can i root on this Version?
The same way you root the other ROMs.
Odin the ROM, then Odin TWRP, then flag superuser in recovery.
If you aren't familiar with rooting Android them PLEASE read up on it first. There are plenty of theads on here on the subject. If you're not familiar with that you are more likely to do damage to your phone, like bricking it.
