Lately I been having some issues with my texts with my S7 on the t-mobile network. Texts would only spin, then after 10mins I'll get an unable to send text. I'll have 4glte. Able to surf, download, with good speed averaging 35-40 mbs at the east coast. But yet some text just won't send. They can be either mms or just regular SMS. I have restarted the phone, the network, everything but they problem persist. Anyone else having this problem?
Also, just noticed that all sms and mms text that I wasn't able to send, just sent with no problems as soon as I connected to my home WiFi.
Unusual to say the least. Wish I could help you other then the whole restart and wish for the best.
Same thing happens to me. So freaking annoying.
Happens to me and my wife all the time
Do a factory reset.

im having issues when sending text messages
-Whenever i try and send a text then lock my screen the text wont go out the first time, but i i hit resend it works
-or there could be something wrong with the ROM and some times texts just fail, therefore i have to resend it
but main point is whenever i try to send a text the first time 1/2 it fails to actually send and i have to resend to get it to go out
** i am using an AT&T Micro Cell that could also be an issue, i have full bars in my house with H+
any help or comments would be appreciated
It's the Microcell, this is the problem. There are posts in this forum to fix that. Since returning my micro cell I have not had one failed text. It is a known issue, but I have had many problems with it messing with my router and signal; as well as my wife's iPhone doesn't work well with it. There is a reason they are just giving these things away...
Same here

I'm having the same problem at my home. I was wondering what the deal was, but I also have a microcell and now it makes sense. I only have the sms/text problems at home.
So I've got this issue with my phone. I'm running Iwireless based in Iowa and ILL on my Motorola xt720. The Phone is actually available from the company so its not unlocked or anything like that and its running the default rom. Anyway. I have unlimited everything Ulimited 3g internet, Ulimited text, pic msg, and calling. My internet was working fine today. I've never tried to send a picture till today and as soon as I clicked send my internet stopped working and the picture didn't send. I've tried rebooting the phone, I've tried changing all the settings back to default, I've tried switching between settings and nothing seems to work I can't get my internet back and my picture messaging still wont work. I was wondering if anyone had some idea of what happened or how to fix it?
Okay so I took out my battery, Sim card, and memory card for like a few minutes and put them back in and my internet works again. But If I try to send a picture message my internet disappears again. Anyone have any idea why its doing this?
I think that in your plan rules there is something like you have "unlimited internet", BUT you cannot upload files larger than for example 1MB. Or maybe your internet is reconnected every ex. 3 minutes, and the picture stops to upload. Operators do it often, especially it my country, so i'm accustomed to this. It should prevent abusing the unlimited upload to use gsm to uploading large movies or games by 'pirates', but sometimes interferes to do normal things by normal users
I've never had that problem with my previous phone so I can't see how that would be it. Because it doesn't even upload the picture and send it. It just shuts my internet off and the picture never sends.
For about a 1.5-2 weeks, I have been having trouble with google voice texts. My texts aren't working correctly at all. I can send a text and the person will not get it for days. Also someone will send me one and I won't get it for days. I am running CM7.1 btw. Does anyone know what's going on? Is there anything I can check?

What version of Google Voice are you using? Are you getting a notification from GV that the text isn't going through? The only time I have issues with GV is when I'm in an area that I don't have good cell phone service or wifi. If I try to send a text, it will get stuck on "sending, retrying" until I am in an area with better service.
I have found that if I am unable to scroll through my google voice texts and have it load more conversations, then texts won't be able to be sent. I've never had a gap that long, it's usually just a couple hours at the longest, but I know the reason is due to very low or no internet connection.
I've had the same problem, I'm on remix 1.2 and I uninstalled and reinstalled GV. It seems to help for a while. Then I had to redo the entire rom. So far so good.
I had a similar problem running one of the CM7 roms. It bugged me enough to re-flash and reinstall. After that no issues.

On average how long does it take you guys to send a text message? I just sent 2 text messages in a row and it took over 5 minutes for both of them to send. Usually takes over 3 but this one took a little longer. Is anyone else having this problem? I am stock rooted running some xposed mods...
Something ain't right. My texts are going out as they are supposed to: instantly.
Running CleanROM with some extra mods and also Xposed for Sense6 toolbox.
I hate to state the obvious, but do you have a low signal? Are you sending pictures or just plain texts? The only time I experience send times this high is when I have a low signal or am trying to send a text in an unusually crowded area. I am also rooted and running xposed, so unless one of the mods you are using has something to do with texts or signal, I would think it would have to be one of the above.

Im usually on wifi for most part of the day, but my signal is usually good. I get solid 4g. I am mostly just sending plain texts but I did just recently get a new job and apparently it is right next to an at&t tower and I literally don't have service for a full 8 hours. I do use wifi there but i still cant receive text messages. Could that have anything to do with it?

Yeah, unfortunately WiFi won't help you at all with plain text messages. If you have no service there, that would explain the huge send times. With Wi-Fi, you'd be better off to use Facebook Messenger or Google Hangouts data messaging feature instead of texting. Those services use data to send and receive messages so the WiFi would be utilized by them.

I'll probably give that a try, but it doesnt just happen at work its pretty much everywhere.
Recently I have been experiencing problems with my data connectivity on my Nexus 5. Quite often I will try to send a text message, and no matter what it will not send, even though I have full bars. After I reboot the phone, it will show "No service" for about 5 minutes before it shows a connection. I will then be able to send and receive messages. Sometimes messages that were backed up will appear hours or days after they were sent. This happens almost on a daily basis, multiple times a day, and I am getting sick of having to reboot it all the time.
One thing I have noticed is this occurs most after I travel somewhere. So when I get to work from home I won't be able to send or receive texts until I reboot, and vice versa. It's almost as if it is changing zones, and fails to connect to the new tower.
So what I am wondering is, is this an antenna problem with my phone or my service provider? I am on Virgin Mobile in Canada, which uses Bell service towers. I have checked the coverage map, and am well in the range of 4G/LTE. I have never had this problem on other carriers, and it most recently started after updating to Lollipop 5.0.1 or 5.1 (not quite sure exactly).
Any help greatly appreciated
