Does any one have the always on display wallpapers? The black ones with a little bit of color in the middle?

I have two Nexus S at the moment and they both have significantly different screen rendering while running the same ROM with the same customizations and brightness. This shows up most clearly with the wpclock wallpaper. I took a screen shot of each to post in the wpclock thread to see which of the renderings was most similar to other people's screens. The screen shots for both phones looks the same on my monitor, which I guess makes sense because a screen shot is a representation of the data of the picture and not an actual picture of the rendering on the screen.
Is my most accurate NS as far as screen color goes the one that matches the screen shot on my monitor? This assumes my monitor is fairly decent. I need to return one of the NS and I really don't know which is the more accurate screen rendering, one looks saturated with red and the other looks saturated with blue.
I had only looked at the phones individually before and thought the screen looked great on both, so it's really not that big a deal. When I looked at them together I noticed that they rendered quite differently and the red saturated one is slightly brighter than the blue saturated one. The red one has only been used for a few hours and the blue one for almost 30 days.
replying directly to the topic tittle question
i'd say no
the screeshot is capture within the machine, it will always show the correct color even if the physical device (screen) is not displaying the correct color
there have been very few SAMOLED screen that came defective from factory (from SGS)
but so far we've not see that as of yet in the SNS
^^ Thanks for the reply.
I found some good information in this thread, in particular post #7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883109
We can probably close this thread.
I have 2 Dell 22 inch LCDs here bought them at the same time and the colors are slightly different between the two.
my point being is that monitors and such display colors differently,
I made a screen white balance adjuster for android screens (with a few other adjustments, e.g. tint and brightness)...
Some phones are lucky enough to already have these, like the Xperia seriese, but they you have my Moto X that has a yellow tint for some reason!
If you want to give it a go, it's here.

Ha, yes, well, this app corrects it!
I have updated it to adjust the contrast as well.
I also have a Moto X and looking for a way to get rid of the yellowish tint. I tried the app but I can't find a way to make the colors colder or change the white balance. All I can do is set a tint/filter and change the strength of it. Changing color modes between tind and white balance seems to do nothing. (Version 4.0)
Is it even possible to change the yellow tint with the free version? I will not buy the paid version unless I am sure that it can do more and it's what I really need.
Also, what are the downsides and the effect on pixel longevity, battery and performance? I tried chainfire's cf.lumen (which requires root) and it has the nasty habit of applying its filters twice when switching between portrait and landscape. I guess your app does also just overlay a transparent, tinted image over the whole screen?
I really don't want to get used to a new calibration and then find out that I have to switch back to the old one because of a drawback.
my N6 has yellow tint too...but only on the bottom part...how can i adjust only the bottom part ?is there any possible way to do it ?if i adjust my whole screen with your app there will be a difference between top and bottom ..i have this stupid yellow tint on white and grey background..on grey it is soooooooooooo bad
Hey guys,
while gaming yesterday I noticed how my regular S6 develops kind of a green shade of the right edge of the screen. It's especially visible on darker colours like the one in the attached image. It's only visible in some situations and wouldn't bother me at all if it was an AMOLED issue specific to this screen, but could any of you display the image at full brightness in a dark room and tell me if you've got the same green tint on your S6?
Thanks in advance!
I'm just gonna say a few things about Samsung's AMOLED displays. people all over the internet say Samsung phones have the best displays.
lets me start by saying a few facts about AMOLED. then tell me why samsung still uses AMOLED instead of IPS or why people like it:
1. AMOLED dipslays have a terrible purple smudge. specially when they switch from black to grey they show a purple tail. this is super annoying. my s7 edge is just unusable.
2. Longevity. they lose brightness and color and change overtime
3. Burn-in
4. Power consumption showing Whites are higher than LCD. and Samsung phones all use white themes at default...
5. Color accuracy. it's nowhere near iPhones IPS. specially with iPhones wider color gamut things look better.
6. Cost more to manufacture.
7. Pentile pattern makes everything look. weird. whites look rainbowish. they need more resolution to achieve the same look sharpness as LCD.
8. They're awful at showing whites.
my Knowledge is based off the internet and eyes. I'm not god I might be wrong.
and remember this is a friendly discussion. not a fight!
I love AMOLED because of the deep blacks. I use the Reddit is Fun app a lot and the true black BG option they have for phones with amoled panels makes it really easy to browse reddit for longer than I should be. It's also nice that when watching media on my phone with black bars on top or on the bottom that they are not lit up with a backlight and blend in with the bezels. I don't think I could use amoled on a laptop or desktop for the reasons you've mentioned, though.

Yeah. but the Purple smearing makes it terrible. watching movies or scrolling is just terrible.
There are positive things too. You can always keep screen on minimum brightness for clock and etc. AMOLED screens look better than IPS LED, their colours are brighter. I don't think that's bad technology as more and more smartphone makers are making transitions to AMOLED screens.
My moto x had an amoled display, and I loved it because of active display. There was pretty much no effect on battery life because of the amoled panel. Also, for those who prefer oversaturated colors, amoled delivers. Also, like it was said above

Using it at night with all black themes makes it much easier on the eyes imo.
But hey, to each his own
I have a Galaxy S6 with this issue where very dark grey areas of the display are displayed in a lighter colour. I first noticed this when I copied over my background from my old S5 (i.redd.it/9ot00213jzr01.png). Instead of a smooth transition from the edge of the planet to outer space (on the top side of the image), there was a VERY noticeable halo, and you could clearly see where the image transitioned into fully black pixels. This was noticeable on my old phone, but the transition was extremely smooth and so you had to look very closely at it. It's also noticeable in the Reddit app. I use AMOLED night mode, and some areas, especially when loading in a subreddit, there is a colour that looks almost exactly like black on my S5, that looks way lighter on my S6. Is this a known issue? If not, what's going on? Can I fix it?
