So I was browsing apkmirror and came across this Facebook app. I really don't like the new full FB app because of how large it is and have just been using Facebook through Chrome with the actual app disabled. However, this app is less than 1mb and still gives you access to messenger through it as well as notifications. So this may be my alternative. It's an official build from Facebook and looks to be for people in countries with less than standard internet.
I hadn't seen any threads about it so I figured I'd pass along the info.

can you download greenify, enable aggressive doze and the notification? See if the phone goes into doze mode with lite installed
This app is pretty terrible, laggy and extremely slow

Facebook Lite is awful. Why anyone would use it over the mobile site in Chrome is beyond me.

Thanks this is great. it reminds me of the facebook browser app some one on xda made about 3 years ago of so. fyi facebook lite wont show up in search on play store. on s7 edge or rooted note 2

Glad that some people like it. I must admit any app that has a dark option is always more favourable to me, and when "N" arrives, there will be a night mode option built in to the UI.

Noticed you hadn't received any feedback yet, brother. Though I'm not too huge a fan of 9gag, i downloaded it for the hell of it. First off, great idea. Its a very convenient app. I do however have some suggestions. Not sure if you're an experienced coder, but seeing as how you made this app I'm sure you'd be able to figure this out. Number 1, a specific interface. As of right now it's basically a browser limited to these specific sites, only in specific tabs. If you could figure out a way to make the images appear without having to show the actual website, that would be awesome. Another suggestion, integration. Maybe a place where the images from ALL the sites were together? Just throwing out some ideas. Anyways, great job on whats been done so far! I see some potential!

If you click all unread it will show you images from all the sites in one place.
Also the browser is only for 9GAG as I was unable to extract the images from 9GAG. For the rest its images only no website.

I've had my phone ever since 4.4, this only started happening recently. Instagram is always at the top of the list now. I used to get 4-6 SOT now I only get 1-2 hours. Anyone else having this annoying problem?
I sometimes get it, a restart fixes it. Though it can be annoying because you won't notice that it's doing it until you realize your battery is going down faster than normal.

Do you use the camera inside Instagram? If so, then stop using it.
Try clearing cache/data of instagram and reinstall it after a reboot.

Instagram uses the camera.

looks like google play services is getting you, its the nlpcollectotwakelock and nlpwakelock. try using the disable service app to stop those wakelocks coming from google play services.

Yep the screen shots aren't showing anything out of the ordinary, the gms wake aka goole play services is at 6m for 2h30m, if you're using Google now then it's normal.
Post new screen shots after a whole day of use and will take it from there.
Okay, so I believe I have this figured out.
I recently switched ROMs and I know some of the newest gapps have been draining battery badly. Also, I think those updates in combination with using "battery saving" location while at work was draining the battery more than I am accustomed to.
I work next to an airport and the radar messes with signal I believe.

Dear Rick, thanks for the cool app, just let you know that on my new Note 5, I can not import the fingerprint indicator from internal memory even i saw it, but nothing happens when I choose, the indicator unchanged. Can u keep a little bit attention on that? Thanks again Rick

Really digging this app. There is one minor annoying thing that is happening. When I turn on my screen the application looks to jump to the top of the notification list. When it does that it moves everything down, which causes a bit of shutter on my lock screen.
Have you heard of this? Also, PM if you want a video for this great application.

I totally understand the concept of ADs but seriously getting killed on every video I watch with the native YouTube application. Can anyone recommend an alternative that maybe can block some of those ADs? I would also love an option to fast forward/ rewind ten seconds. Those r the only two options I need. Anyone?[emoji6]

Sorry, i am still dusting off the rust as i have been off Android for some years. I think i need ROOT for that and the US version of S7 is not rootable from what i read. Am i correct?

I'm using FireTube (actually for listening music, because it works with screen off or with another application on top). By default it doesn't download video, but you can enable it with the button marked with yellow as you can see in attachment. I never saw or heard any AD with this app!
