Text to Speech - White opaque box over entire control area - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

This just started happening. Normally I press and hold the microphone icon on a text message and the lower portion of the phone brings up the "text to speech" controls, now all I see if the microphone (red) in the center of a small black circle, the rest is WHITE! You can barely make out the other controls, but they are covered in this white box!!
Please help, this is soooooooo annoying. Here is a snap of what I see.

Ability to display popup toast by a keypress?

Hi there,
Is there an application that re-displays popup toasts I've received? I mean, when I receive a message and/or have a scheduler alarm, etc... I have to manually tap the tiny notification icon right there at the top of screen... actually it's not a big deal, but it's still annoying. One example, when I receive a text message, I'd like to press something like... a camera button instead of putting my effort to tap a that tiny message icon on the taskbar(is this a taskbar, or a notification area? Whatever...) and just press left softkey to reply. Isn't this beautiful?
So is it possible to... 'simulate' the tap by a keypress? I've googled for this and no luck so far.
I have WM6.1.
Thanks in advance.

LED Notifications - can there be more of the bar flashing?

In the attached pic you see the red line across the top of the phone for LED notifications
but when there is a notification a tiny faint almost impossible to see (ie pointless for a notification) dot is flashing just on the right side.
Is this red string of what looks like red lights spanning most of the width of the phone so it can flash using more or all of the width?

That image you have is of a sensation XE. The red colour is just paintwork on the speaker housing to compliment the other red highlights found on the XE. It's not a row of lights. The dot is all there is. If you take the cover off while you have a notification, you'll see there are no more led's on the phone for what you're looking for.
TL;DR: impossible.
ah ur right.
gaaaaaah.
<random complaining about stupid design of hard to see tiny LED>
thanks for the response

[Q] Hanging up on ringing calls

Is there any other method besides swiping right-left on the ringing phone screen to show the hang-up button?

That's it for stock. If you don't like that you need to download a call app. I use Rocket Dial. It's nice and has a ton of options. It also has skins for all the various call, dial and contact screems. The skin I use uses a button press instead of swipes.
Sending to VoiceMail
Since I put in RocketDial, it still goes to the native Phone app when a call comes in. Now I slide and hit the red button and it answers.
I'm just trying to send a call to voice mail.
I sould have been more specific.
In Rocket Dial go to settings > Advanced Settings > Caller ID settings. At the bottom tap the Settings button. On the next screen hit Caller ID settings. On the next screen put a check in the box at the top for RocketDial Caller ID. This will enable the use of the RocketDial themes for incoming calls. Now go back 2 screens to where it has the Settings and Themes buttons at the bottom. Hit Themes. On the next screen at the top tap Incoming, Then you choose an incoming call theme. Scroll down and there is a theme with large Green and Red buttons to accept and deny calls. This theme is called Full Screen 2. Tap on this theme to select it. Now keep hitting the back button four times. After the fourth time you will get a pop up message to restart RocketDial to apply your changes. Tap the OK button. Now when you get an incoming call it will show that theme screen instead of the stock screen and you can simply hit the green or red buttons instead of swiping. You can do the same thing with Outgoing calls and Missed calls as well. There are a ton of option in Rocket Dial which is why I use it.

Move Keyboard to top

Hi guys
I was wondering is there is a way to move the keyboard to the top of the screen ?
Imagine you text message app.
When the keyboard is closed, the app uses the whole screen.
When the keyboard opens, the top of the screen remain the same, but the bottom, where you can type an message is "pushed up"and the keyboard is displayed bellow.
I'm thinking at excatly the same behaviour, but, instead of "pushing up" the bottom toward the top, the keyboard would "push down" the top toward the bottom.
In my text mesage app, it would push the header where you find the name of the contact as well as a "call" button".
Any suggestion would be welcomed, with or without root, and with various behaviours

SMALL WHITE/GREY BAR LEFT HAND EDGE OF SCREEN

Hi all
Im a newbie, got the poco x3 NFC, and to say im over the moon is an understatement...finally i have a phone which does what it says on the tin (UK TV advert..sorry)
OK...left hand side of screen there is a small white, greyish bar (oblong) If I hold this, i can slide it up and down, but NOT into the middle of the screen it just slides up and down.
I long hold and nothing, slide up and down again nothing meaning nothing opens, or switches.
I did take a screen shot but IT DOESNT SHOW IN THE PHOTO
If I reboot, it disappears
also while Im here, on reboot or start, the poco logo appears but NO music...is there supposed to be music??
Thanks folks...its a great phone for the price...im MORE than happy
Settings = Type "Quick Ball" in the search bar. Enable/Disable/Customise it there.
All the best.
