Backup Stock ROM of my Xperia Z3 D6633 - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I know this question might have been asked earlier also, but I'm unable to find the post for the same.
I want to root my Xperia Z3 D6633. But before doing I want to take backup of my stock ROM and my entire phone, how do I go about that ?
Also, can you please guide me on the best methods of rooting my device safely, without running the risk of getting it bricked.
Android Version: 5.1.1

[Q] Rooting my xperia J

I recently upgraded my xperia J to the official 11.2.A.0.2.1 (4.1.2) firmware but i kinda want 4.2 on it now..the problem is i cant seem to root it on the current firmware...is there any way i can root it without downgrading.apparently u need a rooted device to downgrade and i cant root..so im kinda stuck.,
You down grade by flashing a stock firmware ftf file with flashtool so you dont need root to flash stock roms. I don't think there is a 4.2 rom for xperia j bro. there are root tutorials in general section for rooting jb for locked & unlocked bootloaders moke sure you follow the right one.

[Q] QUESTION: ParanoidAndroid 3+

Hi just want to clarify my mind about some questions regarding ParanoidAndroid. I had these questions because I got a bad experience just recently when I flashed PA on my phone..
device info:
Sony Ericsson Xperia J
model #: St26i
android version: 4.1.2
build: 11.2.A.0.21
unlocked bootloader + rooted.
Questions:
1.Is there a step by step guide on how to install the ROM correctly?
2. Is there a required kernel or anything to make the ROM work properly on my device?
Thanks A lot! :fingers-crossed:

I'd really appraciate a method, how to root M2 AQUA. I've tried a root method described for M2 kitkat, but it doesn't work.
xperiam2aqua
same here guys,im also a m2 aqua kk user, could hardly find a way on how to root it,hope one day someone will share how to root m2 aqua
How to root the m2 aqua?
I tried by flsashing a TWRP boot.img/kernel for the Orignal M2. Don't do that..
I tried by flashing a TWRP boot.img/kernel for the Orignal M2. Don't do that.. It WILL brick your device and requires you to flash the firmware back.. I'm not sure if there is a method yet honestly. There's no custom recovery for the aqua yet it seems and towelroot is patched. All I can say is see, request, and/or donate for someone to port CWM or TWRP.
Had this M2 Aqua for about 2 months now and I AM ITCHINGGG in getting this rooted. So sad that there isn't seem to be a way to root it yet. :crying::crying::crying:
anybody was able to root it? I NEED ROOT!
Cant survive without Greenify Root
I confirm that Miche1asso's method works for the M2 D2403 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/help/qa-rooting-locked-bootloader-ota-method-t2999665
As I wanted to be uber safe and careful, I downloaded my region's ftf with XperiFirm (so it would an exact copy of the one originally on my phone). It's possible that any 18.3.1.C.0.21 would work, but I wouldn't risk it.
Also: I believe Miche1asso may have overlooked the following in his "Preparation" section:
set "Unknown sources" to "enabled" @ Settings => Security
(Otherwise you might get root but without R/W)

Hi there,
I have recently successfully rooted my D2403, using KingoRoot.. its a one click program, works very well. still trying to get twrp to work, will keep udated.
That's the last thing I'd use to root my Phone, you do know it's supposed to harvest imei no's. The root method for the normal m2 should work using the m2 Kernel and is supposed to bootloop while you're doing the rooting using Michaelasso root method . The easiest way I think it's too just flash a jb rom root with towelroot then update ota to 4.4.2 then 4.4.4
D2303 18.3.1.C.1.15 kk deodexed, rooted, philz touch recovery, xposed, z1 bravia engine 2 + x-reality+ z3 super vivid, viper audio

[Q] Need Root on Lollipop 5.0.2

Hello i had a rooted phone( z3) with locked bootloader before i upgraded to lollipop.
so just when i upgraded i lost my root :/ now i want to know how can i root my phone without unlocking the bootloader.
Please Help !!!
Model No.- D6653
Android Version- 5.0.2
Build No.- 23.1.A.0.726
First this is totally the wrong section, there's a Q&A section for threads like this.
Secondly there is no root for Lollipop without unlocking the bootloader as of now. You have to downgrade to Kitkat, root, install a custom recovery and flash a prerooted Lollipop (Stock) ROM.
