Unfortunately you cannot unless Nova has an option for "default," which I don't think it has. I can only get them to stick when using the Google Now launcher. I use xposed to tweak it.

Icons
Search the theme developers name in the play store. Some of the time they release just the icon pack there just for this reason.

this app can use custom icon packs on a stock launcher...
i tried the free version with dcikonz icon pack and it worked (sort of) - it changed the icons on the desktop although i think you'll need the full version of the app for icons to change in the app drawer as well...
nevertheless - this is a good step up

This app wont change the icons in the app drawer even if you buy full version. its meant to change icons of your home screen... (disappointment)...

that's why i stated that i don't know how things are considering full version and app drawer...
personally - i don't care about app drawer if the desktop looks fine (that's why i use nova launcher, not the stock one)

If im not mistaken nova support icon packs not even on home screen but also in app drawer!

yes, that's why i use it since ever... but we're talking about how to inproove the stock launcher...
and this thread is to help those with stock launcher (not me)
I actually like it since it don't mess up the icons in appdrawer

REMEMBER. This is for those that want to keep stock launcher. This doesn't replace your launcher like nova. So I want to keep my blinkfeed but have different icons this is what I need. And who cares about drawer icons lol. U spend the time on your home screen. Wow.

I dont understand why this app change all incon except the appdrawer one ( not the icons in app-drawer, but the appdrawer icon itself in home, the one with dots..)
Is there an app that will allow me to apply an icon pack without root?
I don't want to use another launcher because I want to have full function of my Note 4's features with the S pen. Thank you
Try apex luncher download this launcher from Google play store after installation open it goto apex setting by pressing menu key.goto theme setting get more themes and themes also contains icon use it best of luck

I did, but no icon back looks to me as good as that Samsung pack Currently using Glyphsy icon pack, but the icons are too thin and do not match the rest of the dark theme.
Why would u want nova launcher when the S7 has all those different themes available

i use nova launcher and I use themes - I just like to control my icons and use ones that I like - the phone is still heavily themed even with nova - notifications - lock screen 0- settings- toggles - etc. Why not use Nova ? Its just the launcher - not the theme...
Google for tatosxl compacticons on deviantart,there is an apk with limited number of icons and zip files with many icons.They are "thicker" than glyphy's.

Hello friend, look for Flight Flat Minimalist Icon 2.5.8. That is the best white icon pack in the market.
How can I get icons from my themes and change the icons on my third party launcher. I hate the TouchWiz launcher and I like themes but I like the stock android icons from themes. How can I get the theme on the launcher. Is that possible.
You can have a theme on the system and then a custom launcher for icons you like etc. What you can't do is use icons from a theme on a third party launcher. Theme icons are tied to the theme and ultimately TouchWiz. I have a material theme on TouchWiz with Nova launcher and the Google now nova skin. Best of both worlds.

Yes, But what if I want the google now cards on the full left
I use gestures, I set one up with nova that if I swipe up it opens Google now, so busy enable one of you swipe to right.

There is no such thing as a theme for Nova Launcher. You can manually edit the colors for the drawer and folders, but nothing beyond that.
You can download themes from the Themes App from Samsung if you wish to change the appearance of the UI

You can't really 'theme' Nova Launcher, in that there isn't a button you press to apply themes. Everything is done manually.
You will probably need a combination of widgets, icon packs, and wallpaper to get the theme you want.
Nova Launcher is meant as a replacement launcher that is both simplistic and offering more options at the same time.
Play around with the settings, see what you can do. I've customised my app drawer so it's like the Pixel/Nougat's pull-up one, and applied an icon pack through Nova Launcher. You can then tweak almost everything to your own preference and make it the way you want it to be. I've also found it's a very fluid, clean launcher.

Head over to r/androidthemes on reddit . You may find some nice themes that use nova launcher .
