Possible S6 Root - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

I found a root utility called SRS Root and have not tried it yet. Anyone know if it'll work? Their twitter says the latest g920v build is supported.
I cant post links but on twitter the user srsroot said that it is supported at 1:58 PM - 19 Mar 2016

Im currently running OK7
Im a little nervous about trying because the program is sketchy and don't have a clue if it will trip knox.

SRS root just posted support for BOG9 on their twitter account. I'm afraid to try, is someone willing to take the risk and reply their result?

srsroot does not work sm-920v with ok7. The program falsely reports that it is rooted.

Yes, I tried multiple times myself. The app says it is rooted but is not. I beleive the app communicates with their twitter account automatically that is why your seeing that their twitter account shows support for our phones because it is falsely reporting that we have root.

ROOT on 4.4.2

I take no credit for the following:
I successfully root with towelroot @ http://towelroot.com/.
The site looked sketch but I did some research and the guy is from XDA and designed it for the s5's. But I took the chance and it works!!! Screen shoot attached.
(I know the screen shot doesn't provide 100% proof, but its the best I can do at the moment)
Good luck
This root Method doenst seem to work if your kernely is < June 2 2014. Look in the kernel build in your device settings and if its before June, then I dont think the root method will work for you.

Just rooted my SM-N9005 (kernel version: 3.4.0-1168347) successfully using TowelRoot.

Just rooted my Note 3 is 4.4.2 with stock ND3 firmware using towelroot by @geohot. And it didn't trip KNOX.

Very excited to hear this... Will wait a little longer for proof it works as am running N9005DXUENE4
When it comes to rooting, does the ROM capacity of the phone matter?
Most Note3 are 32GB, unfortunately, mine is the dreaded 16GB Hong Kong version, so I wanna know whether it would work or will the root exploit need to be rewritten to be compatible with the 16GB version.
Can anyone confirm device encryption can be used after root ?
just tried on a n900w8.... didn't work
wow its work
really work thanks
Did not work on my N9005 (ENB1).
Am i doing this right? After 'making it ra1n' and reboot, do i have to flash SuperSU or does towelroot fix su for me? Root Checker says i am not rooted.
Same at me. No root.

Install app, make it ra1n, it will reboot in 15 seconds, install root checker. And thats it, no need for SuperSu app.
Works well

Knox didnt trip
Nd3 firmware
It works on my n9005, no brand Italy, latest firmware.

Root 6.0.1 with Rowhammer?

Saw this on /r/android.. don't have a chance to use it at the moment. Looks promising, as it has offered root to phones that seemingly couldn't be rooted. I figured it is worth a try. If nobody does, I will look into it when I am home
http://arstechnica.com/security/201...tflips-to-root-android-phones-is-now-a-thing/
The researchers expect to soon publish an app that allows people to test their individual phone and anonymously include the results in a running tally that will help researchers better track the list of vulnerable devices. (Update 10/24/2016 6:10 California time: The app still hasn't gone live in Google Play. People who are willing to sideload the app can find it here.)

Somehow all of my data got wiped in the most recent update for this phone and I've been waiting on a root exploit in hopes to recover any of my pictures. It's not very likely, but it is impossible without root access, so I'm patiently waiting.

After reading their updates, it seems that the app they compiled tests for vulnerabilities on devices. So if you ran it on your s6, you would see if the 'rowhammer'/'drammer' can actually write to your device. If the app is a success (which shows in the apps log, there isn't a pop up) then the exploit can be used to root our devices. The only problem is they haven't released the actual code for rooting devices.

Root alone won't let us get CM. But we can at least maybe get rid of some apps and bloatware. It'd be a significant step in the right direction.

Tôi bị lỗi pin. Đang cần root. Mong được giúp đỡ
Somebody please exploit this!
Quick update, after running the app and some PC sided operations, I may have found a hole (I'm on latest September update). Since I've had my S7E with root and Xposed, I figured I'd work on my S6. Since I have recently found an easy FRP bypass for this latest update, I will dedicate my time to root. I am not developer so I myself will probably not create a root for this device, but I will work on assisting those who can find holes and exploits. I'll keep updated and contact more educated developers. Nice to see people still have hopes for this rather strong device!

Current root method breaks bluetooth on G935P 7.0 and wifi passwords are not retained even though the build.prop has been patched. So root with caution.

Netflix app not compatible with my device (FRD-L04)

Hello
Recently, I tried to install the Netflix app in my device, FRD-L04, and notice it didn't appear in the search in the Play Store. Then, I proceed to search for it using my PC, found it and when trying to install to my device, there was the message that the app was not compatible with my phone.
I'm currently running update B385 but I believe I had the app when I was using B360. Does anyone else have experienced the same issue? I had to go to Netflix webpage and from there, download the APK for old Android versions (4.4 and later).
That's because you have your phone rooted.
Simply search and download the early version of Netflix (Netflix-4.16.1 build 15145) and you got it running.

As far as I know, my phone is not rooted. Just an unlocked bootloader, unless that counts as being rooted. Which would be weird, because I can still install Netflix in my old Nexus 7, which is not only booloader unlocked, but also flashed with a custom rom.
Just checked with a couple root checker apps and both of them tell me that my device is not rooted.
"... Just an unlocked bootloader..." That's Why!

Not trying to make a mess out of this. Just pointing out that it is weird that some devices do get blocked and other don't. I'll just download the apk and keep going. Thanks for your answers.

In case of Snapchat u can download app but u can't login in. If ur saftynet is tripped then u can't download apps like Netflix and u also can't use payment solutions like Android Pay.
People aren't concerned abt safety net to protect themselves from attackers it is more for the proper functioning of apps and services on ur phone.
