Whilst snooping around my Verizon M8 via the Activity Launcher app, I came across something called "C+W Account" in the settings app. Does anyone know what this is? Apparently it connects to a server in China at chinanet.cw.chinatelecom.cn using port 5060. I also have an HTC Desire 626s which has the same thing.
Screenshots attached.
Thanks for any help.

Hey guys I'm new to Android but have always been into customising and pushing the limits for gadgets I get so rooting sounds just like me.
The biggest question I have is will I be able to install Pandora Radio somehow after rooting?
I live in New Zealand and cannot access the app through the Market and when I go through the website it says "Please choose device to install to" I choose "vodafone NZ Desire HD" and it says that the item is not available on that carrier.
I use Pandora on my PC by using a VPN to access the website, is there something similar I can do for my android? Or maybe a way I can trick it to think I am on a US carrier?
Thanks for any help guys, oh and I am using a HTC Desire HD.
Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy S running Criskelo v75 Rom. I recently ordered Bell's mobile variety package through the Bell self serve app. I noticed then that my Rom didn't have the stock TV & Radio app. After doing some digging I finally found the apk, but any time I try to use it, I'm thrown an error reporting a problem connecting to the service, reinstalled many times. When I try to change the account info, I'm thrown an error saying there was a problem logging in using the credentials provided. I can log in with the exact same credentials on the website.
Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Or am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated!

+1 for HTC Legend
HTC Wildfire S same issue
I am having nearly the same problem, but I have an HTC Wildfire S, and my data plan includes 10 hours of mobile TV free. The app came with the phone, but I get errors or the message, "the content is not available at this time".
Hi, i got my shiny new Sensation 4g from wallyworld yesterday, the phone is brilliant! I am coming from an imilka HD2 android rom and the HTC hub app on that phone/build combo seemed to have more options available. The biggest items missing are the Apps/plugins category, the linkedin and picassa plugin for sense. Is this a USA/Tmobile thing or do the other markets have the same issue?
The T-Mobile USA version already has the Picasa plug-in installed
Hah! thanks, i didnt even notice that, i hadn't yet sent a photo. I didn't think it would be integrated yet. gogo HTC
No problem. Just hit the drop-down in Gallery to view them. If I helped, click the thanks!
Hi all,
good to be a part of this great forum!
i recently bought an HTC Wildfire S loaded with android v2.3 (gingerbread). my only issue here is that i am unable to start the GpsSetup2 app which allows one to configure the gps settings in much detail as is the case with Samsung galaxy series.
also i have noticed that gpssetup2 does not work on any htc android phone which i came across.
can someone pls help me find out whats happening here? is there some other code for the HTCs or is it deliberately blocked by htc guys just to prevent fiddling...
ps: i couldnt even find it using the ANYCUT app.
kindly reply ASAP.
Thanks
bump...anyone?
Hi there, I noticed this app in my downloaded apps section in the system settings. Don't recall downloading it specifically and searched on google and here didnt turn anything up. Can anyone confirm if this is a legit app? Is it the HTC sync that is installed when installing drivers/adb (as part of the rooting process etc)? If thats it then fine, but wanted to check it out as it has access to a lot of information. The app is 1.21Mb in size.
Im rooted and s-off'd and running virtuous inquisition rom. Grateful if someone could provide clarification.

Did anyone ever get back to you on this? I had to re-root my htc evo 4g and the rom I used has htc sync 900. It won't sync and my laptop htc sync program produces unknown error 1000.
Any clues?
Thanks,
Eric

I have been having the same problem, im on a un-rooted htc sensation. I uninstalled the htc sync version 900 from the phone and then tried syncing with the computer. It worked first time once that was gone. Hope that helps
