How to delete the new Lollipop bootloader and animations? - General Questions and Answers

Although I downgraded the firmware to KitKat, I still have the new Lollipop bootloader and animations. Like the power off battery animation. This indicates there are still something left in the device from the latest firmware. This also might explain the instability of my device. I want to ERASE the phone to its roots. I want to start from zero. Factory reset doesn't help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone please?

[Q] Need help! I System Formatted :/

I was trying to update my phone while it was rooted and failed horribly. i went into bootstrap and didn't think before proceeding. i system formatted my phone and stuck on the "Motorola Dual Core Processor" screen.
I need help.
Couple of things first mate.
This belongs in the Q&A forum, not the general forum. Please post in the proper forums and read XDA's rules if you have not already. You can find them in my sig.
And don't worry, I have contacted a moderator and he will move the thread for you. Please do not repost.
Second, we need A WHOLE lot more info. What phone are you on? AT&T or international? MB865 or ME865. What firmware were you on before the screwup? What EXACTLY happened? The more info you give us the more we can help.

[Q] Any way to go back to stock and have normal device status?

I've been looking for a way to go completely back to stock and return device status to normal for a while now and I can't seem to find a way to. If anybody knows how or could help me figure this out I would really appreciate it.
EDIT: Don't know what I did, but something fixed it.

[Completed] Where do we post, in the main XDA Assist forum, or its subforum?

I am confused as to where requests for assistance should be posted. Do I see a forum -- and a subforum?
We have XDA Assist, which is unlocked to new posts, and then we have Post New Thread, also unlocked and accepting new posts.
I read the documentation for the main forum, and thought I'd post my assistance request there. I only saw there was another area after I posted in the first area.
Or does it make no difference? Sorry, but if this information is already available, somewhere, please give me a link. Couldn't find it!
It depends on your problem. The nature of XDA Assist is to help users in looking for the right place for their issue. For Ex. for your phone, we do not have a Sub Forum Defined. So you'd go to
> Android Development and Hacking
forum. Within it, you can either post in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting if you have a problem you can't solve. Other wise if its a general discussion on the phone, you can post in Android General
Does that make sense ?
Question that started this thread is answered, may be closed.

Well ... still confused.
Maybe the threads XDA Assist and Post New Thread, are in fact one and the same?
They seemed to be separate, but perhaps I should take note of the first few posts in each, and see if they're the same?
Anyway, I posted in the XDA Assist thread, and it seems to be working -- I see my other post has one reply.
No one else seems confused, so I guess it's just me. :silly:
Different question from different thread answered, both threads may be closed.
So, I'll go to --
> Android Development and Hacking
and then, since it's not a problem needing troubleshooting but just something general on how Android works (I doubt it's phone specific) I think I'll put it into 'Android General'.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! And the instructions for this forum say the moderator will close the thread when the advice has been given, so please feel free to do so, now.

[Completed] Problems with PA titan's rom

Hello. Given that I can't write to the appropriate forum, I'll write here, hoping someone can help me.
I've installed the latest PA rom for titan (Motorola Moto G 2014), but often and suddenly it freezes, the monitor becomes black and I can't access anymore my phone.
I've to try to flash again (and again and again.......) the rom and hope it works well again.
Have someone ever experienced it? Can someone help me to avoid it or to quickly recover it?
Thank you in advance for any answer.
Hi!
I see you did ask about this awhile ago in your proper device section. But you can post in the rom thread, your post will be automatically redirected to the roms dedicated Q&A thread in the Q&A section.
(You could browse around your device section and contribute some constructive posts in other threads... After 10 posts, you can post directly in the rom thread)
Xda Assist is here to help navigate the site, not for support, and since you know where your section is.... There's no more we can do for you here. :good:
Good luck!
