Hi everybody, my wife has this Samsung galaxy s5 gt-19700 that she purchased when she was out of the country to India. I went to a T-Mobile store to have it activated and for some reason I was told that it cannot be activated because the device was not manufactured to work with the U.S networks. I google this device and there seems to be no report about it here in the states. Does anybody have this, and if so, is the fellow at T-Mobile pulling my legs about activating this device.
Any comment will be greatly appreciated
Its a fake Galaxy S5. The model number for Galaxy S5 is SM-G900, and for a T-Mob variant its SM-G900T.
If your wife bought it in India then there's a high chance it'll be optimised for India's/standard GSM or CDMA networks. US networks are different to India's and so the T-Mobile guy's probably right in saying it can't be activated on their network
Im going to buy An Galaxy S5 after 2 days...... is it a good idea? Btw i live in India.

Just buy from a trusted Store.. Go for it,, It's a Nice Device
Only Problem with Indian version of S5 is its 3G.... But i can deal with it..... Anyway thnx for replying

Thnx., it was too good to be true/genuine device, but she used it while she was over there. Anyways, thanks for the info. I will have to toss it in the trash where it belong.

Have a LG G4 unlocked (H815) and i am looking to buy a S6 unlocked.
I have seen those 2 models G920i and SM-G920F and I have no idea which one is the best for the US.
I am on cricket and have no idea which one would be the best. Seems that both have the good LTE bands but i am not expert.
Can anyone please guide me and tell me which one you have and why? Thank you.

I've had both on AT&T. Both worked great, but when i took them cross country, the F version seemed to have slightly better LTE coverage.

Go with the F version, in my opinion it is better as you would be able to use Samsung Pay with that and not with the I version!
Hi guys i am in rome for two days and i want to buy one s7 duos. Could you please any advise for where to buy this phone. I wanto buy dual sim version. For now i am using s6 duos 64 gig. If i have to buy single sim version maybe i think buy a iphone 6s 64 gig. Actually im confused about single sim version of s7 and 6s. But if find s7 dous. Definately i will buy it. Thank you for your advice. It would be nice but i am living in turkey and samsung dont sell fd phones in turkey. By the way we can not buy and post cell phones from other country exp. You can buy and bring it with yourself. So i need to buy manually.
I purchased s7 yesterday. I saw ads that in India new phone purchasers can get gear vr for Rs. 1990/-
But how do I claim this offer. It is not showing my galaxy app. Anyone knows about it?

Really? It's impossible as My device is also S6 SM-G920I, but i haven't got
So far nougat has been released only for Note 5 (on Tuesday) and S6 edge+(on Wednesday) Indian units. Nothing for S6 and S6 edge

Because that's how they do it, India has updated Note 5 and Edge+ last week on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively,so it won't take more than 4-5 days for s6 and s6 edge as per trend.
Also one of my friends had a talk with head of the Samsung India software development team, he told him on phone that it was a great challenge to work Samsung pay for S6 and S6 edge as none have MST chips but works on NFC. They have now completed tha tests and waiting for Samsung mobile global for confirmation to release the uodaye. As soon as they will get confirmation they will release the OTA. It could happen between 3rd April to 15th April. That's why I hope that next week

Okay guys, i've just talked to the customer service from my S6 CSC code (TPA) and the guy told me that my phone will get the update after ALL S7 & S7 Edge variants get it. So if you are one of the "lucky" owner of this csc we have like a month or so to get the update... yipee
