thanks for the mod , but I can't tell if its working coz main speaker's volume is (a lot) higher than the head one, if I hide it with my finger I still can hear something but even here I can't tell if sound is coming from head speaker lol

I noticed that when i set volume to max(i dont have enchaned boost) head speaker little "hrhrhr" with stock xperia ringtone for example. I need to vol- 2 steps and everything is great

After flash android.com.proces.stopped need to restart recovery and wipe cache and dalvik after reboot there is no sign but i cant check right now if speakers works because my girlfriend is sleeping near me in bed

Checked while ago and both speakers works but i'v done this on min lvl of volume

I modified my mixer_paths.xml with your changes and it works!
The only thing that is different for me is that the earpiece is left and loudspeaker is right. But I like it more that way.

Nice work @dontbelive !! At first I didn't notice a difference but then I compared before and after and It definitely improves the sound. :highfive:

Iv tested today sound with this mod and i can say that on full vol headspekaer starts to shutter and max lvl of volume is 2 steps under max. Can anyone test on max volume? Quality of sound is little poor because of this.

I've tried both old and new ver on .108 and all works. The new one does produce true stereo and hence, offered better audio quality. However, the new ver got some sound crack out from the top speaker(old ver no cracking), it is easy to test it out I'm using the ringtone of Xperia. This music is easy to hear the sound crack when you turn the volume to the largest.
I think in the next ver you have to cut the high freq. or bass sound(I've no idea the problem comes from high area or low area) from the top speaker to prevent the sound cracking because the top speaker in Z1c is so small and can't handle it.

It is bcuz of low area frequency so when I turn off bass it will reduce quality qnd will sound normal do I will try to do something
So use the Walkman soundenhancement and reduce the 400hz slider to -2 and see what will happen.. as I said I'm not professional in such modding but I love to do and find new things so keep calm I will try some moddings with it, if I would know how to set the earpiece equalizer separate then it would be so much better for sure and reduce bass with mixerpath.xml, it is connected with multimedia lines in the file I think but not sure

[Q] [CM] [4G] Headphone volume to loud, DSP-Manager not working?

Hi @ all,
I recently purchased the Moto G and installed (after testing all functions) the newest Cyanogen ROM. I'm quite happy with the overall performance of the device.
One problem is still annoying me though: The volume of every type (ringtone, in-call,...) of the headphone jack is much too loud, even on its lowest setting, since I'm using very high efficiency IEM's. The DSP-Manager doesn't appear to work (does not request root access, no change in volume when activated)
I've countered some parts of this issue with the following steps:
-The music volume is lowered by the Poweramp equalizer
-The volume of all custom ringtones, notifications and alarms is lowered by 15dB via Mp3Gain on my rig. This doesn't really help, because now the volume of all custom sounds is too low without the headphones. I barely get up in the morning, but it is definitely better than blowing out my eardrums.
So the question is: How can I activate the DSP-Manager? Or is there another way to solve this?

EDIT: Solved the problem by increasing the overall volume steps to 45 via modification of the necessary .jar file via this great guide (http://chrisdube.com/increase-number-of-volume-steps-in-android/). DSP-MAnager works, but only with media volume.

What problem with LOS?

I'm not using your mod (yet) as I'm on Nougat.
My problem:
With non-modified LOS 14 and 15 my partner can hardly hear me during messenger video calls.
Samsung Nougat plus the dual speaker sound mod from ZuBi182 is working well, but as LOS is using different mixer_paths settings I'm still looking for a solution.

Thank you, from Android 7.0 To Android 8.0 I find that something has changed, but I can not remember what changed. For example, some lines in the code are removed.

Can you tell the difference between the version 5 Mods?
I use the dual speaker MOD. No more Scratchsound on front speaker!
On the old one was a little disturtion

I believe its just a xml file so you should be able to dirty flash and wipe dalvic and cache

S7 Exynos Oreo : How to lower CALL volume ONLY?

Hello, i recently changed rom and installed sound mod which is really nice (but not so loud honneslty) HOWEVER the INCALL volume (including on speaker) is way too loud at minimum settings.. LV1 is like MAX on a regular rom! On the other hand, without the mod it's not loud enough.. So i'm looking for a way to modify ONLY incall volume to make it a bit lower. How to? Hope you'll help me as it's dead on the sound mod thread. Thanks
