Galaxy S7 strange changing screen brightness - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Has anyone noticed the screen brightness changing momentarily on its own? It's kind of hard to describe so I made a little video. I think it happens often, but it's easier to see in certain apps such as the one I used for this demo.
Apologies for the quality, it was recorded with my Nexus 5.

Same issue with the S7 AT&T, I just turned off auto brightness.

Turning off auto-brightness does not solve this issue.

A different screen brightness problem

Hi all
I've had my tf300 for a few days now, and I have a different kind of screen brightness problem. When watching movies or looking at pictures, they often look like they've been recorded/taken with very strong lighting like very strong sunlight. The effect isn't influenced by the brightness settings on the tablet, high or low the effect is still visible. The first tf300 I had did the same thing, so I returned it, figuring it was a problem with that particular tablet, but the second one does the same thing.
I've "solved" the issue by downloading screen adjuster from marketplace and setting the brightness setting in that app to 70% or less. Apparently that app adjusts a different screen brightness than the one the built in one does, because by using that screen brightness adjustment the effect disappears.
Anyway I was wondering how widespread this issue is - if it might be an actual defect or ASUS just screwing up the brightness settings of the screen.
Regards

Screen Brightness Problem

Has anybody else experienced their screens changing brightness randomly?
I have mine set to full brightness and it will randomly get slightly dimmer for a few seconds up to a minute before going back to the original brightness.
It's sorta hard to notice unless you're looking at an image with a lot of white (Play Store, webpages, etc.)
My first N5, which I RMA'd for other defects, also did this.
Any guesses if it's a software or hardware issue?
Derp, just found this thread that answers my question: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2516915

samsung S7 camera Flickering

Hello,
Since I bought my Samsung S7, i've noticed that the camera is flickering when you are for exemple at home and the light from outside is super strong
It doesn't happen outside or when there is not a strong different luminosity. It seems the camera doesn't like hudge contrast difference.
It also happen more frequently on the slow motion mode of the camera
Is it normal?
On the picture mode, sometimes it's possible to cancel the flickering by boosting the luminosity on the manual mode
Thanks for your help
Hi there. It is happening to several users (don't know whether it happens to everybody). Check on youtube for "S7 flickering" and "Galaxy S7 flikering".
My videos are the ones you can find with Galaxy S7 flickering jordi martínez
Comment if it happens also to you.

Weird issues with screen brightness

Smaller Pixel 3.
Brightness randomly changes in fixed light setting. It's very subtle but enough to be annoying, especially visible when viewing content on white background.
Another weird issue I'm seeing occasionally is the brightness changing as a result of scrolling through content - happens in Chrome and other apps too. Not sure if it's related to the first issue. Turning off adaptive brightness doesn't seem to fix it.
Anyone else seeing this? I'm wondering if I should go for RMA or if this is a software issue.
I just received my phone, and noticed this the first night. It is very subtle, almost undetectable, but I noticed that turning the brightness up diminished the effect.

TCL 10 5G UW Brightness Issue

So, I've only had this phone for a few days but I've noticed something quite strange about it's adaptive brightness feature. Sometimes when turning the brightness up the phone will seem to "jump up" in brightness instead of smoothly moving up to what it wants to be at. This happens usually at the end but sometimes in the middle of the automatic adjustment. I'm not too keen on owning a lot of phones, so has anyone else experienced this issue? Not just on this phone, but on any? I need to know within my return window if it's a hardware fault or not, but I don't want to go through the hassle or the risk if I don't need to.
The "jump" In brightness doesn't happen unless it's automatically adapting the brightness.
