Back in January, rumors of a possible Huawei Honor X2 successor started to pop out. According with previous rumors, the tablet named as Huawei Honor X3, would be unveiled during CES packing a nice set of specs. However it was a no show until the most recent leaks at TENAA.
Originally, we were expecting the device to come with 6.2-inch 2K device, Kirin 950 processor alongside 4GB of Ram and 64GB of Storage. Previous benchmarks also suggested Android 6.0 in a newer version of EMUI. We cannot say what happened with the device on those leaks, but we got a different picture in the TENAA Honor X3 documentation.
According to TENAA, the Huawei Honor X3 boasts a larger 7-inch display with 1920×1200 resolution. The horsepower is given with the use of Snapdragon 615, a quite old and deprecated choice in 2016; Huawei could at least consider the 616 version that fixes all the problems found in the 615, other specs include 2GB of Ram and 16GB of Storage.
The Huawei Honor X3 also comes with a generous 13MP rear camera and 5MP unit on the front. We also found the presence of a fingerprint scanner on device’s border, just below power button, a new placement that we are seeing more often this year. Finally, the device houses a 4320mAh battery to provide enough juice to run out the specs.
Hey bark,
Thanks for posting this. In my opinion, these specs seem highly unrealistic and under par even in comparison to the current X2. I'll gamble and say the specs for the X3 will be much better than the ones quoted in this article...
ya maybe they might have a lite and a pro version for x3. and this one could be of lite.
A Snapdragon processor means there will probably be a CM based rom for it in the future.
Snapdragon means NO Dual Sim Full Active.... So I have to look to other device.

Meizu has released its latest smartphone, Meizu MX4, and it will also announce Meizu MX4 Pro soon. But today, i would like to make a deep review about Meizu MX4 first. This smartphone has become the flaship device in the market right now. Meizu MX4 is said to be the best rival of Xiaomi MI4. As you know, Xiaomi, Meizu, Huawei, Oppo and ZTE are all Chinese famous brand. You can also share the feeling about this smartphone.
Design and apperance
Meizu MX4 packs a 1920 * 1152 Pixel SHARP JDI Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Screen , with the dimension of 5.67 x 2.96 x 0.35 inches (144 x 75.2 x 8.9 mm), From the screen size, it can be the most suitable size for us to hold. If it sported a large screen more than 5.36inch, it would increase the some unacceptable comments from users. Therefore, I like the screen size , meanwhile, i have tested the screen quality, it has also nice screen color. Which i would like to use the smartphone to wathc the videos. Hope you can have the same feeling with me.
Powerful Hardware :MTK6595 Octa Core 2.2Ghz
Meizu MX4 is the first smartphone which is powered by MTK6595 Octa Core 2.2Ghz processor, before the MTK6595 chipset came out, many manufacturers and users have predicted which brand will be the first one using MTK6595 Octa core 2.2 GHz processor, now Meizu has revealed the answer for you. About the speed, i really can't express my joy about it more. It's so fast and swift compared with MTK6592 Octa core 1.7GHz, when i play the 3D games, there is no need to wait for more than 20seconds. I can log in the games without any stop. Believe or not, just have a try.
As for the internal memory, it is not RAM 3GB but RAM 2GB, and it has two versions that one is RAM 2GB ROM 32GB, the other is RAM 2GB ROM 16gb, i am the one who is inclined to use the ROM 32GB. which has the larger storage which let me download and store numerous full high definition videos.
20.7MP Rear Camera
As for me, a cool camera is very important, Meizu MX4 has 20.7MP rear camera which is the finest camera i have ever seen compared with other smartphone. It utilizes Sony’s latest high-end Exmor RS sensor, coming in at 1/2.3″ and 20.7 megapixels this sensor not only picks up a ton of detail but it picks up a ton of light too. Although the front camera has only 2MP, the rear camera is really eye-catching. I will take more pictures about the back camera.
3100mAh Battery(Bulit-in)
Last time, you must remember THL has released the most durable battery with 5000mAh, now Meizu MX4 has also 3100mAh battery built in the smartphone. Standby in particular is absolutely amazing on the MX4, when i play the gmaes by this smartphone, it can support more than 8 hours working time. I really can't believe it.
Support 4G LTE network , GPS, and Multilanguage function
Besides those nice features, Meizu MX4 can also support multilanguage, which can beat those Lenovo smartphone without multilanguage function. And 4G LTE network let me enjoy the fast speed to search the Internet. Especially play it on subway. GPS function can help me guide my way when i have a travel, or when i shop on a strange road.
In conclusion, i love this Meizu MX4 smartphone with the good price. Hope you can also have a nice experience with me.
Well first of all I would like personally to thank you for the review. I was thinking to buy this phone and by this great review, I am more likely to buy it sooner than I thought. The thing is tho, 4G LTE network works in all European countries with all Cell phone Brands or how you call it? I mean like Vodafone, Orange, O2, Cosmote, Wind etc...? And I would like to ask something else too(since you own the phone already) does it support LED notifications? I saw a video on youtube but I am not sure if it's real or fake. Thanks in advance.
Internal phone storage
I currently have a ZTE Nubia Z5S NX503A, 32GB version. When I recieved it, I found out it had just a 2GB internal phone storage and around 24GB SD-storage. None of the storage locations are able to be physicaly removed or replaced. As a standard, Google Play Store installs apps to this internal phone storage, but this gets very quickly filled up. Anyone know how this is with the Meizu MX4 Pro?
I love meizu mx4 and pro. Planing to buy it.. Little bit concern about customs charge.. I am living India.. Did anyone already buy from India ?

As well know, except for the MEIZU MX4, Huawei Ascend Mate7 and the Xiaomi Mi4 are both the latest popular Chines mobiles, so how do you think of the three mobile phones?

It sounds great. Even bigger than my Z Ultra!
A question: Does anyone know if the Dual SIM is "active" -- that is to say that each SIM has its own circuitry, allowing for two different carriers?
I spend time in both the US and in Europe, so I need a European carrier (Orange) and an American carrier (Net10).

I would imagine. The band support is slightly different for each. It also says dual card/dual standby in the spec sheet here so that probably means you can standby on two different networks simultaneously.

I've been looking at this phone ever since it was announced at MWC and searching every day for news about it. It is available at pompmall for preorder and coming out on April 7. I am a bit wary since the screen colors don't look as good as the X1, and its not something that can be fixed with a color temp slider, but we shall see. I have been debating between this and the X1 since that is cheaper and almost the same thing, but some key specs make the X2 worth paying more for and waiting for.
The X1 has a rather disappointing kirin 910 that benches even worse than a Galaxy S4. It is also, for all intents and purposes, stuck on 4.2 if you want a non-broken UI. The 4.4 I hear has many issues. Chinese phones in general, whatever Android version is preloaded is what you should expect and no more. Any upgrades are basically landmines since they hire a few monkeys and pay them with bananas to upgrade the software. The X2 will have lollipop from the get go.
The kirin 930 is also much much faster than the 910, although I wish the GPU was a bit more powerful. Qualcomm has been having issues with the Snapdragon 810 running the A57 cores and overheating at 2Ghz. Huawei has had crap processors in the past (cough kirin 910, 920, etc.) but I would imagine the 930 to be somewhat competent since it is basically just a 64bit version of their "slightly" older kirin processors in the Honor 6 and Mate 7 that had A15 cores. After so many iterations with A15/A57 they should be at least somewhat okay by now after so much trial and error. The big ass 7" will probably help with any thermal issues.
The other thing that will probably be a sizeable upgrade is the f/2.0 rear camera that will likely be the same IMX214 from the Mate 7. I just hope they actually improved the processing from the Mate 7. It didn't take very good pics and the X1 with the f/2.2 IMX135 was even worse. The front facing camera is now 22mm wide although it still has a sad f/2.4. I am probably expecting too much from Huawei since I have yet to find a phone from them that actually takes good pics but one can hope since it is a new year and they are willing to place their flagship kirin 930 into this big boy so maybe other changes are in store as well.
I like the metal-ish HTC like design of the X2 front more than the all glass generic look of the X1. Except I am partial to the dark blue back of the X1 black version.
Fun fact. Technically this phone is as wide as a 7.5" device since it has an android tablet aspect ratio of 16:10 instead of 16:9. I have always hated the extra long or extra tall look of 16:9 for anything but movies in landscape. I wish the bezels were thinner though, as the side bezels aren't really up to flagship level and makes it wider than it needs to be, even by a few mm.

Thanks, If I use two SIM cards, means I can't use SD card, it support full active?
Someone managed to combine the SIM with the micro SD card,
which makes X2 become dual 4G with micro SD inserted.
You can try vut do this on your own risk.

Xiaomi had added the 5.7-inch Mi Note Pro with a Snapdragon processor to its portfolio of affordable devices early this year. The phablet is an enhanced variant of the Mi Note which was revealed along with it back in January. The former handset has finally been given a release date of May 12 and a cost of RMB2999 (close to Rs 31000).
The power-packed Xiaomi Mi Note Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip and 4GB of RAM. It offers 64GB of internal memory and a 5.7-inch touchscreen of 2560 x 1440p QHD resolution. Also, the Android Lollipop OS running this smartphone has been treated with Xiaomi’s homegrown MIUI 6 software. There are two SIM card slots inside, both supporting 4G networks.
652015-301
Moving on to the cameras, the Mi Note Pro has a 13MP main one integrating a Sony IMX214 image sensor and paired with dual tone LED flash. Perched above the display on the front is a 4MP snapper. All in all, the forthcoming Xiaomi device has the makings of a flagship with the advantage of the comparatively low price on its side.
The Mi Note on the other hand, makes do with 3GB RAM, a 1080p screen and a Snapdragon 801 processor. As for the choice of SoC in the Pro version, GSMArena notes that the company has handled its overheating issue by a smartly engineered thermal distribution design, unlike Samsung which chose to solve it by using Exynos instead.
652015-302
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro specifications:
– Android Lollipop w/ MIUI 6
– 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM
– 13MP and 4MP cameras
– 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440p display
– Snapdragon 810 processor
– Adreno 430 GPU
– Dual SIM, 4G support
– 3090mAh battery
It’s a pity Xiaomi has only announced the launch date of the Mi Note Pro for China. But considering what an important market India is for the company, the phone is likely to make its debut on these shores soon enough.

for me is super smartphone but where buy it? Huawei P8 and Xiaomi mi note pro which phone is better?
What new big phones has anyone seen that compares to the Huawei Media Pad/Honor X2? I'm only interested in phones that are over 6.3 inches....
PS: Moderator... Please don't move this post to "off Topic"
The Mediapad M3 is a good choice. It already has 6.0, is on betaprogram for 7.0, has stereo and fingerprint and is in the same price range as the x2. It can be rooted, but there is no developer, who customized it to have extended features like AJ did for the X2. He took the Chinese KangVIP version for the x2 and transformed for international usage. But there is no KangVIP addition for the M3, as far as I know.
The other thing is that the m3 has no ear speaker, so all your calls will be heard in room by other people. So the usage of headset is mandatory.
My device: 701->703 B212 KangVIP AJ Xposed
I actually have had the MediaPad M3 8.4 for 6 months now but I am finding it a little big now. If I use it for longer periods my hand gets cramped from holding it.
Also the lack of an ear speaker is sometimes inconvenient.
Before the M3 I had the MediaPad M2 8.0 and before that the MediaPad X2 7.0.
I am now considering getting an X2 again because I can get it quite cheap.
But the best option would probably be the Honor Note 8. It's got a faster CPU than the M3, 4Gb RAM, up to 128GB ROM, 2.5d 6.6" screen and I think it will be noticeably easier to hold than the M3 and the X2 because it is a lot less wide.
And it will probably get Nougat in a few months.
Try searching for Huawei Honor Note 8. It seems good but I'll still wait for some months before replacing my X2.
If you don't set no great store on the camera, get the the mate 8, for it has maximum xda support.
The Note 8 has a better specs, but I haven't cleared the xda support for this. If does not have it's own forum.
It's not available on Amazon in germany.
My device: Mediapad X2 GEM 701->703 B212 KangVIP (AJ mod)
Come on people! What are some super size phones coming out this year?
I got the Honor Note 8 64GB.
For the price you won't find a better phablet.
I got it rooted and Xposed runs as well.
It's fast, the 2k Amoled screen is fabulous and with 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM and a 256GB MicroSD card I can install all my Apps and take all my documents with me..
This phone looks nice... ZenFone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL)

Love this thread. While I have little to contribute, I'd like to add to your question by adding why can't I get 6.5+ inch screen with 4G bands in the US? I'm willing to pay big and I'm sure so are others...so why are we screwed?

Now THIS phone sounds amazing with a battery same size as the X2 and faster CPU. Is the 6.6 bezelless screen as big as the 7.0 X2? If so, it could be the only thing I would upgrade to!

Yeah!! That Honor Note 9 will be my next one after our beloved x2. I can't wait! I hope the price will be reasonable just like the x2 before.
Now the rumored leaked specs have been updated to a lesser 4600mAh battery from 5000mAh and a lesser Kirin 965 from 970. Very disappointing! I was hoping for a battery capacity at least as big as the X2 and not any smaller. I hope these new rumors are incorrect...
It could be that the new CPU/etc is more efficient, but I'd still rather have the bigger battery just in case!

Aside from the GPS issues, my main frustration with the X2 is NFC and no matter how hard I look for a replacement that is as big or at least as close as possible, they never have NFC! :/
I was looking at the new Note 8 thinking I would sacrifice size if it was at least 6.5" for the NFC and OLED but Samsung is still going with that ridiculous aspect ratio...oh well.

See here about this issue. At least one android 6 rom does fix it!
Couldn't deal with the crappy signal on my X2 any longer and picked up a Posh Volt LTE 640. 6.4 inch screen and a 5800 mamp battery with Octocore processor and 3 gigs of RAM....and best of all, 4G LTE here on T-Mobile in the USA!!!! It kinda looks like a slightly smaller version of the X2. Very hard to find this one but I managed to find a retailer with a used one in like new condition on Amazon for only $170. Until somebody delivers a 7 inch phone with 4G LTE in the USA, this will have to do.
Major downside is only 32 gigs of non-expandable memory. But hey, don't plan to use it too long.
What do you think of Uhans Max 2?

Hey Guys
What do we think of this ?
ZTE AXON M.. dual 5.2"screen foldable, is it a credible upgrade from X2 ?
I am consider it seriously
In 2018 many new budget oriented smartphones were launched but lets see who is the real smartphone king. many big companies have are launching their budget smartphones but only few of them have actually proved themselves as mightiest.
in today's discussion i am going to say which smartphone has really good at it's price point.
I will list down top 3 budget smartphones (i.e upto 15,000 ruppes)
1. REDMI NOTE 5 PRO
The real beast still remains the redmi note 5 pro since it gives true value for money.
the phone feature's latest qualcomm snapdragon 636 octacore processor, 4GB ram and has dual rear facing camera i.e 12MP + 5MP dual camera
Sony primary sensor, 1.25μm pixels and 20MP front facing camera with led flash light and face unlock . Though the rear facing camera look's like iphone x but still result's pretty good. it also has 6 inch FHD+ display with new 18:9 aspect ratio and comes with massive 4000mah battery capacity.
however the smartphone higher GB varient i.e for 6GB ram, the pricing is still high.
2.ASUS ZENFONE MAX PRO M1.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but includes stock Android. The same hardware that makes the Xiaomi phone on the best performers at that price, is also there on the Zenfone Max Pro M1(i.e snapdragon 636 octacore processors) .But the flavour is stock Android 8.1 Oreo. Apart from that you get a sturdy build quality and decent 16-megapixel dual cameras at the back. Easily one of the best phones under Rs 15,000.
3.OPPO REALME 1.
this year oppo is launching quite unique and attractive products. This year now oppo has has launched it's new brand realme and it's one of the product realme 1 is one othe best smartphone of 2018
The Realme 1 is a new entrant in the mid-range market and it hopes to topple the best by offering a maxed-out spec sheet which includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and Mediatek helio p60 processor which is even good than qualcomm snapdragon 636 processors. But because of missing fingerprint scanner and dual rear camera setup,i have placed it in 3rd position. But all that firepower surely makes the Realme 1 one of the best phones under Rs 15,000.
