If it goes in this adapter...it should still fast charge? Will it charge even faster?
In most cases it should charge at the same rate as the stock cable and charger (fast charge 2.0). It will not charge faster than the fast charge 2.0 as that is a limitation of the phone, wall charger and cable.

I have a 800ma charger that seems to take forever to charge my phone. I also have a 1A charger that charges significantly quicker. I am trying to determine if the cheap 800ma charger I have is just a crappy charger or do 1A charger charge that much quicker?
OE charger is 1A, from what i've seen it charges the phone the fastest, i should check what my charger at work is b.c i find it charges way slower then the OE
1A is the most it will take or you can just plug it into your computer @ 500ma. So 800ma will work just fine
great to know thanks so much!
The phone detects if you are using a wall or usb charger, the second is considerably slower. Some usb chargers cheat to seem wall chargers so charges much faster.
Can we use this USB to fast charge our Note ?
Anker® 40W 5-Port Family-Sized Desktop USB Charger with PowerIQ™ Technology
Thanks
It's a charger that will charge fast simply because of the high amperage. I believe, and trust me I could be wrong, the fast charging capability has to do with the plug's output. Your typical outlet plug is 5v, anywhere from 500mah - 2.x amp. The higher the amps, the faster the charge. If you look at the fast charging plug, you'll notice it's 5v 2.1amp OR 9 volt 1.67 amp. I believe the ability to fast charger comes from the higher voltage capability. So while the 2.4amp charge rate is good and will charge fast, it's not the fast charging like using the higher voltage Samsung plug.
Today i ordered a QI fast charger pad from Anker powertouch 10
I was wondering would it be possible to charge using wireless fast charge pad & usb to micro usb from the mains plug to get a superfast charge at the sametime or would adaptive charging from the device be smart enough to only draw 2.1 amp to stop a melt down, what takes priority if i had my phone on the pad & mains plugged in or would it damage my device, also is it true wireless charging is better as there no ramp up to max charge,
my local repair shop told me that when u plug in a fast charge wire it can take 5-10 minute for adoptive charging to request full 2.1 amo from the mains
What is your S8 charging rate? (from 0% to 70%)
Mine is:
Fast charge adapter, fast charge on: 2.4A
Fast charge adapter, fast charge off: 1.6A
1A sony adapter: about 900mAh
Computer: About 500mAh
I tought "normal charge" with the fast adapter would use a lower rate. What do you think? I choose longevity (low current and low temp during charge, not going over 4.1v) over charge time, so i charge the phone to a max of 80% and at the lowest rate possible. I usually plug it in when i get home from work, and about bedtime is charged.
(My 3 year old Z1c still got 1 day battery until i broke the screen)
Fast charge adapter, fast charge on: 2.4A
Fast charge adapter, fast charge off: 1.6A

I think you mixed up your measurements.
Fast charge is 9V @ 1.67A (15W)
Standard charge is 5V @ 2A (10W)
I have a note 20u 5g SM-N9860. While tinkering with charging options, I turned on Fast charging and disabled other options. However, when I connect stock charger and cable, it stays on CABLE CHARGING. When I turn on Super Fast Charging, it charges in Super Fast Charging mode.
Is anyone having this problem of not getting Fast Charging mode to work?
I think it depends on the charger. I don't think a super fast charger will just do fast charging. Super fast or just regular. At least that's been my experience.
Using my pixel chargers on the note it does just do fast charging, because that's all the charger is capable of.
There is an option to enable fast charging. There are two different options for fast charging and Super fast charging. Most probably that option is turned off. It is off by default.
I've experienced the same thing. You need to understand electrical currents and how the plug you putting your adaptor inside. To make it simple, use a charger that has usb a to usb c (old ones) for fast charging (samsung branded in my experience). This phone was designed to handle super fast charging anyway, why not use it?
None of the charge options make any sense to me on the N20U. Example , using an old samsung 18W brick charger. On slow charging it peaks to over 2000mA or over , on fast charging it peaks to around 2800mA. Using Accubattery to see value whilst charging. Using a 10W apple brick charger it charges are around 1000mA however.
This behavior was present across three different N20U devices.
Easiest way is to look at the charge indicator.
Around 1% a minute is snail charging.
Around 2% a minute is fast charging.
