and yes I did it and opened a new thread ....:angel:
And for that I also made a fresh and new build, based on todays AICP sources.
Camera is working, and rotation I am not really sure, but:
after enabling it in stock launcher and a reboot it works for me. Not tested it after sleep or deep sleep of the device.

I've been using AICP 10.0 to this day as my daily driver and finally there is a MM update! Since the 8.0 AICP, I've been been very satisfied to the rom's stability, lack of big critical bugs, and amount of features. I've been trying out some other roms on the side but somehow always ended up using mainly just aicp.
I really appreciate your work, dedication and effort in working with roms, rodman01! :good: And of course thanks to everyone else that are making this community such a great place!

I'm still on the 0311 build, but it's nice to see a dedicated topic !

I'm using this rom for few days already, and up to now noticed only 2 issues:
- rotation is not working after screen is turned off
- if you try to update super su, then phone functionality is working properly only for few hours after every restart. When freeze appear you cannot call anyone (app freeze on dialling), and phone is not showing any information when someone is trying to call you (caller can hear the signal, but without any response on your phone)
All other functionalities are working properly for me - rom is very stable, and work really good on battery.

Is/will this rom have the same (excellent) optimisations than in VrTox? I'm thinking of getting aicp but can't flash everyday :/

Fast is great, faster is better, in VrTox I saw enormous changes : the use of f2fs, especially once fstrimmed gets the phone as reactive as the latest flagships and I'm not even exaggerating. Plus with the ubertc version the battery improvement was pretty impressive, even with screen on. While screen off I have 1% loss in 10h it's amazing. So don't think like "it's great how it is" think "how great it will become"

Nice! What perfect timing for me to look for a new ROM to install on my daughter's nexus7. Thanks for this!

It seems to be running OK. Everything is scrolling OK from my small use while I installed and configured the ROM options. The kids aren't complaining, well more like crying. They're 2 and 4, and if their much loved and much used YouTube and kids learning games machine fails to load or play anything, I get the waterworks until I fix it LOL.
I'll see how battery goes over the next few days, I usually leave their N7 to be stock kernel that comes with whatever ROM I install. I also did a fresh wipe/factory reset so it is a clean install.
All in all so far, it's looking good so far!

Getting really slow charging here - 20% in 2 hours (and yes, I am using the official wall charger and cable that came with my N7). I've changed to Franco 77 kernel to see if that makes any difference.

edit: Ok now charging at normal speed with Franco 77.

Great ROM, love the features available. Would like to suggest implementing the option to disable Nav bar for those who use LMT or any gesture based controls as Nav bar is pretty redundant in this case. Workaround to this is to use gravity box disable it.

Been using this ROM for 2 days now. I must say I'm very impressed. The ROM is smooth. I haven't encountered any issues at the moment. Franco kernel works well with this ROM. One of the stable ROMs out there.

Solid rom . i use it in my car with oxydo kernel no issues has been 4 days.grerat battery life updating to new version now!

I'm new to the N7 tablet but I run this Rom on my phone. Glad I chose to flash it on my N7 because it is every bit as stable and smooth as my phone's Rom.. Runs great, thanks!

Finally, I was able to flash this ROM yesterday. I must say so far so good!! I have been playing around with the ROM settings and everything is working.
I did a clean install and flashed franco kernel on my N7. Thank You for this wonderful ROM.

Good and stable rom, but i can't to change from dalvick to ART.
Its just not working for me.

I tried this rom like secondary one for 2 days now.. . simply I love it. With original kernel is really smooth. It's a shame that this thread is not so active.

Update: Everything seems to run nicely. I did have a massive battery drain overnight. The stats said it was the screen at 11%. I didn't think to get a log file before I flashed another rom, (since I need this tablet for a meeting tonight). It appears that something kept the screen awake all night, but the cover was closed. I didn't see any light coming from it..... I had the same exact problem with the RR 6.0.1 rom too, so I will see if the Lollipop rom I'm running now does the same thing tonight. If it does, it may just be my battery. I will update this then.

Turns out that my battery is fine. This is a screenshot from a Lollipop Rom from last night. So there is a deep sleep issue with this and the RR rom.

This rom is still in testing. If you're not the adventurous type, I'd stay with 5.1.1. The only issue I've had with this rom so far was the deep sleep mode.

I've had this problem too. Also, I had a problem of it just randomly shutting down. I think that might be my battery though. I'm switching back to 5.1.1

That's odd. Mine switches from landscape to portrait, and is great on battery. I haven't had to charge it for 4 days now.

@transi1 Would it be possible to add "tap-to-wake" for this device? The power button is a pain to find with the cover on while giving a talk or speech. I tried a third-party app, but it didn't work out.

Even I'm using @transi1's RR ROM for Tate I sometimes have the issue about not rotating as well. So there seems to be common problem for both ROMs like the wake issue was...

Using this ROM from y'day and jus noticed the following:
Buttery smooth, no lags and excellent battery.
Everything is working - jio, usb tethering, etc.
On reboot just apn needs to be reset for jio4voice to connect.
For root permission, there is magisk manager, but I dont know how to enable root in the same, also tried flashing magisk 11.1 the latest, in twrp but it exits with error. Help would be highly appreciated.

Damn one of my favorite ROMs is finally back, really looking forward to flashing it but some questions
1 Does it supports f2fs
2 What are the bugs and issues (if any ?)

Plz share some feedback if anyone hve downloaded

Wow another great rom to choose! Thanks a lot devs! I see that a lot of roms are being "official-ized", is this because xiaomi released the kernel source?

Yup that's the exact reason ?

Yep tried it.. Absolutely awesome... Just the Sdcard bug rest is fine so reverted to AEX for time being... Thanks dev..

Someone just post some screenshots and tell me that does it supports f2fs

I just want to confirm - flashed first version, then dirty-flashed 2nd one - and everything is flying as f*** xD
Amount of customisations is incredible - and it's prerooted with latest Magisk, so SafetyNet check passed
F2F2 working, SD Card is also working after formatting to ExFat in recovery (even in 1st build).

Yes it supports f2fs and no bugs......

What about smart cover support..

what about battery life?

Review
So guys here's a little review of this ROM
1 It's really stable
2 it's got loads of customisations
3 Great performance is guaranteed
Cons
1 Sometimes it stutters and lags(but not too much)
2 Lockscreen has some weird issues like the corner shortcuts doesn't gets shown sometimes
3 Sometimes doesn't makes sounds when you receive a notification
But overall it's a solid package and a must try

AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we are now actually LOS based.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or LOS team, if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't LOS supported, so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Nougat. You don't need to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it, and go!
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!
TWRP is the recommended custom recovery (and needed for OTA Updates)
1. full wipe
2. flash ROM
3. flash GApps
(The ROM has GApps persistance in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!

KERNEL:
Kernel in this ROM follows LOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM/LOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery.

Not quite official just yet but ,but we'll have the smoothest rom out there I assure you

Fingers crossed these devs can fix the wake lag on all of the other linage based ROMs. Can't wait!

By far the best non-miui rom i have used, has all the necessary features to be daily driven on my MIX!!!!

A question: will it work with DragonXia kernel??

In case it serves to improve the rom: ambient display is not wotking. At least not in my device.
Clean flashed latest build + gapps and no tweaks or anything else done so far.
Edit: it works but only when notifications come in. Not on pick-up.
Edit 2: working now after soft reboot...

As far as will it work with dragonxia eas kernel it hasn't been tested but you can try it and see (( note if you have any issues with it ,, it will not be a aicp issue .

Does this rom still have the fingerprint wake up delay? Someone in the Hangouts chat said it didn't, but considering both lineage and RR do, I'd be very surprised if it was solved here...

Is DragonXia booting with it? If AICP is still using a modified bootclasspath i could bake an anykernel version that is keeping original ramdisk. Just let me know if it works or not.
But only the normal version. Because of missing eas support on this ROM.

True we do not have eas support . The maintainer is a close friend he brought this rom up at my request since I bought the device also pappschlumpf if you would message me on Hangouts are in our Hangouts group chat link above our Maintainer and you could get together on a few things like eas and this fingerprint scanner issue if you message me in our Hangouts group chat I'm elite ( one other thing pappschlumpf our Maintainer is also a kernel Dev and has already done eas kernel for our other device we build for .

Anyone here not getting ambient display messages if not we need to look into it
