No, yo have to flash the rom, then flash the twrp and the supersu...
You can bypass flash the rom if you have the rom OK. You have to flash twrp and supersu.

Not necessarily so in Europe. I've heard that if it has a hardware defect, Samsung has to honor the warranty even if Knox is tripped.

[GUIDE][4.3]How to have stock permissive kernel w/o having warranty bit label at boot

It doesn't work anymore on newer 4.3 Firmwares (MJ9 with Changelist:1986587 and newer)
Hello friends,
I found a solution how to have stock permissive kernel without having warranty bit label at boot. In my approach I will explain you how it works.
→ IT WILL WORK ONLY WITH STOCK KERNEL
-> flash newest 4.3 firmware
-> root your S4 using CF-Auto-Root
-> install ES File Explorer or another root file explorer you like
-> remove Samsung KNOX manually ! (see my DE-SAMSUNGNIZER Script which apk's or folders you must delete)
-> install Universal Init.d Support and start the app (Click me)
-> enable init.d [if have problems by enabling init.d, you must have BusyBox before using the app]
-> download this script and copy it to system/etc/init.d using a file explorer
-> set the permissions to 777 (rwxrwxrwx)
-> reboot and enjoy your permissive stock kernel without having any labels at boot :good:
→ Video demonstration ←
Thanks to:
@Chainfire for CF-Auto-Root and SuperSU
@Ryuinferno for his great App
@everyone who motivated me :good:
Once again outstanding work Kaito95 Thank you. I've been using @Ryuinferno UnitD app for awhile. He is an outstanding developer. Thanks @Chainfire as well for making this all possible. Great easy steps for permissive kernel.
Not Working
Im on 4.3 complete upgrade using QBkings video, KNOX completely removed and Init.d enabled with CF AUTO root installed.
as per your OP i moved the txt file to system/etc/init.d and changed permissions as mentioned in your OP.
rebooted also, Triangle away shows counter:21.
Im on 4.3 Galaxy S4 Sprint SPH-L720
Got it figured out.
Counter Set to 0 and
system Official thanks
will it work with S4-I9500 variant also??
Yup

Hi, i'm italian. I didn't understand what does the method. Works on Gt-i9505 (Snapdragon)?
I have a Galaxy S4 with the last firmware 4.3 and root without increase the counter knox.

Confirmed: Canadian GALAXY Note 3 SM-N900W8 both Mod-friendly and KNOX-friendly!

Through some flashing process, I noticed that the SM-N900W8, despite multiple flashing, remains under 0x0 status in KNOX
So it is confirmed that the said model is both mod-friendly and knox-friendly.
There are some limitations though which CAN BE FLASHED.
Refer to post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2627996 [SM-N900W8 List of KNOX friendly flashing]
THIS IS ONLY FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 SM-N900W8 MODEL. TRY THIS ON OTHER VARIANTS? DON'T BLAME ME FOR UNDESIRED KNOX COUNTERS!
Note: In rooting your Samsung GALAXY Note 3, make sure that REACTIVATION LOCK is UNCHECKED under the security options or else the flashing will interrupt. I also recommend having the original fimware as a backup if anything goes wrong. If you did not follow this direction, it will not be my fault if you run into a bootloop or malfunction.
Confirmed: NO NEED FOR THE TELCEL FIRMWARE TO BE FLASHED. Go with the firmware in your device.
I am using my RWC firmware and KNOX wasn't tripped during the process.
What to do?
Get the following files from the links provided below.
FLASH FIRST the ChainFire Auto-Root I have provided. The SM-N900W8's root file will not work in Kitkat, so use the one I provided. After flashing, check your DOWNLOAD MODE and confirm if it is still 0x0 or 0x1. If all is still in success, flash now the TWRP.
Device will be considered FULLY ROOTED but limited by some functions due to the KNOX Secure Kernel.

Hopefully people will stop flashing or sideloading firmware.
Personally I haven't flashed it, I'm decrypted and it could cause me to lose access to my sdcard.
If you're encrypted, you should have no issues.
This wasn't easy to get working

Actually no. You have to flash root to boot. If you flash twrp after sideloading the 7.1.1 firmware the phone won't boot unless you flash root. I didn't try the verity zip file but it needs root to boot afterwards. We had a few testers and they're phones wouldn't boot if they were decrypted and didn't flash magisk because supersu wouldn't install binaries.

Got it, this phone is nutz. Some people have root and others don't.
Try to flash superSu or magisk 13, if you don't mind.
Appreciate the info

Thanks for testing, I assume 7.1.1 is still missing the f2fs fixes, Time to buy another phone, I'm really starting to hate this thing.

On factory 7.1.1 I flashed magisk and root was working 100%. I didn't need to flash 7.0 modded kernel separately. I assume that's because f2fs fix has already been included on 7.1.1. I was encrypted though if that matters

Magisk systemless working fine, when i say systemless root i mean chainfire SuperSU.
So,
Magisk is ok
Chainfire SuperSU systemless is ok
Chainfire SuperSU configured to install in /system via SYSTEMLESS=false in /data/.supersu cause bootloop.
My knox is at 0x1 since the first day i have the phone because of twrp.

u'r right buddy. anyway it works flawless. restoring with tb works fine and u could flash viper too.
seems to be a bit heavy on the battery !?
I dislike latest supersu that's why i always give 2.74 which works great. Anyway, on samsung device (since 2 years or more) the only rooting is systemless. No choice at all. Magisk used first, systemless feature from chainfire. Idk now.
