Adoptable storage in 6.0.1. - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

http://www.modaco.com/news/android/...e-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632/
Guys, what do you think, could we do the same with our Z3 using this method for SGS7 ?

i did all the steps there but it didnt work for me, it showed a negative amount of total space and the apps couldnt move to the adopted SD Card.
have anyone got better results?

The negative amount bug is considered to be normal.
I used it with a Z3Compact Tablet and a Samsung Evo+ 128GB sd card and this is working very good in my case. You have to use the "migrate data" Option, so Apps etc. will be moved to the sd card.

I tried using it, next thing i knew my SD Card wouldn't read after a reboot, had to run Diskpart on windows to fix it.
Does it slow down the system at all?

[Q] Internal Storage Issues

I recently bought a 16gb microSD and moved all my music to it. This freed up some space in my internal storage. I then rooted my GS3 and started flashing a few different ROMS. When I checked out my storage, this is what I saw. Imagine it's because of partitions or something of that nature, but how do I only have just over 2 GB available with relatively little space being used, and how might I free up some of that space?

I backed everything up, booted into recovery, formatted the internal sd, rebooted, and I've got my storage back. 11+ gb. Thanks,

Vital Asc tablet storage issue

Hi, I recently received this tablet as a gift from family for my birthday. Well, there is a pretty big issue that really bothers me. Note, I have been modding/rooting for years. Well this tablet has no custom Roms, and it came stock with a weird partition. All apps from the play store get put on a 1 gig partition, which runs out of space quite often. There is a 13 gig partition that is just basic storage. I can transfer some apps to the "SD card" partition, but I am running out of eligible apps that I can transfer. How can I either repartition this or set the auto download to go to the 13 gig partition? I did find a root so apps that require root access do work. Thanks!
P.s. this tablet runs dang slow sometimes.. Any way to OC it or any fixes for that?

Fix damaged sd card while partitioning

Okay, I accidentally removed the adapter while partitioning my SD card using MiniTool. I just wanted to try out the flashable .zip I've made recently and because of so much excitement, I accidentally removed the adapter and forgot that I'm partitioning my SD card My taskbar was automatically hidden so I didn't noticed that MiniTool is running and I totally forgot all the other things since my mind is focused on editing the updater-script and so on... It's like I'm making a custom ROM for my device, then after that, I want to try to flash it through ClockWorkMod Recovery and because the version of my CWM does not support ADB Sideloading means SD card is my only option but... OMG!!! Here, my SD card is now in Read-Only state and became Logical type :crying: :

360 Cam Won't Download

Whenever I try to download images or movies I shoot on the 360 Cam, I get this message:

I've upgraded the firmware and I've even deleted cache files off the internal memory and I have gigs and gigs of free space on both internal and sdcard. Anyone else get this or get it to work?
Sam problem. Did you use that storage hack with youк SD card, so it looks like an internal?
Hmm. Mine are downloading fine to my T-mobile version (I did not use the storage hack).
They are storing to:
/internal storage/DCIM/AccessoryCamera/360 CAM/YEARMODY_TIME.jpg
And I don't think I can change that.
I too have the T-Mobile version. I got the message but only when doing the adoptive storage hack. That extra step that moves data to the partition on you SD Card. It seems like the 360 cam won't write to the SD Card even if the G5 is recognizing it as internal.

Using ResurectionRemix rom turns SDcard read-only/kill them?!

Hey there, i just read this on a rom thread for an old device. That RR rom is old, from 2018, so i'm not sure if it's doing it with other version/on other phone BUT when reading this it reminded be at that period I HAD TWO SDCARD that became read-only, so unusable/dead basically. Made a lot of research back then and tried many things but no luck.
The reading i had today says "an app could fix the affected sdcards" however the person couldn't recall the app name. Anyway, i'd like to hear from people who had such stories & fixes?
How is the write-protection tab on SD-card set?
