I bougth my Samsung A5 from a Chinese Vendor, It was rooted when I received it, but once in a while it rebooted itself, at first, I didn´t worried, but today suddenly is not loading, it is looped in the logo of samsung. I have been reading about how to solve this issue. I have tryed to reflash it, tryed the hard reset, but none of this two methods worked, I will try to reinstall stock firmware, but I found 5 or 6 different versions for my phone, well at least, different contry´s versions for it. Does it matter which version do I use???
Since it is bootlooped I just could find out this number in my phone: ktu84p.a500 FXXU1ANL1 , As I said, I looked for the right firmware in sammobile website, but there is firmware with the FXXU1ANL1 version for 5 or 6 diferent countrys, so the PDA column in the download page match, but which CSC version should I use?? I am not exactly an expert doing this and I do not want to do it wrong, so, If you could point me in the right direction I will apreciate any help!

Hey guys!
A while ago i bricked my SGS and i tried to repair it by reflashing it with the old firmware. However i cant seem to find the firmware that works for my mobile. The threads that are pointing to firmware files are not very helpfull if its about what firmware version to use.
I got a Dutch T-mobile SGS I9000. I got it around May 2011.
Does anyone have an idea which pit and firmware file i need to use. I have flashed my mobile phone with like ten different firmwares now and none have worked past the boot screen or the galaxy s logo. All help would be apreciated!
*bump*
Problem still not solved.
greetings,
I recently inherently a Samsung Note Edge (SCL24). The phone is showing its age. It is on its default rom (4.4.4) but many things aren't work. For example, it is extremely slow; it won't remember wifi passwords, etc. I am hoping that by flashing a new rom I may bring it back to life.
The spec is listed below:
SCL24
Adroid 4.4.4
Baseband: SCL24KDU1ANJ3
as I am browsing through this forum, I am a bit confused as to the flashing procedure. Assuming it is the same as every other phones I have flashed, I suppose I would need to root it, install a recovery, possibly a new basebank, and then a new rom.
Is there a guide as to how to do this for this particular phone? It has been a while
any help, and suggestion as to which rom to flash, would be very much appreciated.
ps. I am not looking for anything fancy, but in the past I've always used slim rom.
regards,

Try a factory reset first.
done that many times
This phone was purchased in Hong Kong and other than the model number "SCL24" I couldn't find any other information. Judging from this forum, looks like there are many variations on this phone (vendors in North America, Japan, and others common in south asia). Also from this forum I realized that I probably need to update the baseband in order to flash any new ROMS (post kitkat).
Hence I seek your help,

Interesting.
Is this an international phone?
I tried asking about custom ROMS for my phone (don't want brick it) and didn't receive any responses.
I did do a Google search and didn't find much of anything.
I did download Marshmallow from Sammobile and have been gutting pretty heavily.
I guess after this much time, interest is fading.
problem solved, for now
As I mentioned earlier, this phone was purchased in Hong Kong and the model number was listed as SCL24. Following the thread on Project_ECSTASY (https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...rojectecstasy-custom-rom-galaxy-note-t3545658), I managed to flash the "Global edition stock rom without any bloatware from carrier au" using odin. The step I followed was:
1) installed samsung USB drivers for the phone (directly from samsung website),
2) downloaded and executed Odin,
3) rebooted the phone into Odin mode (vol down, home, and power),
4) connected the phone to computer via USB,
5) updated the rom through Odin.
6) once the phone rebooted, factory reset
I have not had much opportunity to play with the phone but it seemed to be working thus far. I have not had a chance to put a SIM card into it so I don't know if the new rom/Odin also flashed a new baseband and if the radio works.
will report back tonight,

Cool.
Hi guys. This is my very first post here. I searched all over the internet for my problem but nothing. But it seemed that similar questions redirected me to this forum and that's why I decided to join.
So, all started this morning, when the colors of my Galaxy S7 Edge became faded, it was more noticeable on the black color. I tried to find a solution online and they suggested doing something under Developer Tools. The next problem and my big big mistake, was that I unchecked and rechecked something, that after restarting my phone, wouldn't let me enter, showing a text "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock". I searched for a solution and I saw that the only way was to install a new firmware.
I always thought my phone was SM-G935FD, because that is what it read on the "About device", but at the download screen it showed SM-G935W8. So I downloaded a firmware for the SM-G935W8. This is what it says also on the back of my phone, i noticed it just some minutes ago. So I went and I searched for W8 firmwares. I got the 6.0.1 from Canada and Bell carrier if I am not mistaken. I did the instalĺ. It started well, but after some updates it went from 6, to android 7 and it blocked my actual carrier. I can't make any phone calls.
Now I don't know what to do. I live in Albania and I purchased the phone here, it was a used one. I think at some point the phone was rooted because I had some very strange apps that has to do with rooting apparently (I never rooted a phone and I don't know much).
I want to know if there is a way to have an unlocked firmware. I don't even know what carrier was the phone on the first place.

Try flashing the SM G935FD, it probably had the G935FD firmware flashed on it so that it would work in your region, flashing G935FD again might make it work again.

Okay but, which version of FD? Because I search it and I see versions for countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Nigeria etc etc, and I am not sure if it will be a locked version again.

If it was rooted before, it was probably rooted so that some things could be modified to make it work in your country.
You said you flashed an android 6 firmware then you did an OTA update to android 7. That might be a problem because it might not be able to root again in order to make the modifications that were originally done to make it work in your country.
Here is a link to all the Russian firmware for SM G935FD, try the 6.0 firmware, try the various 6.0 firmwares and see if any of them work. After flashing the 6.0 firmware, if you get a notification saying there is an update available, DO NOT ACCEPT IT, keep the 6.0 android version. You will probably still be blocked by FRP, according to XDA rules, we can't help you bypass FRP, you'll have to figure that out yourself.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935FD/SER/
Once you get FRP straightened out, do some searches for:
"How to root SM G935FD"
Then you can work on getting it configured to work in your region on your carrier. Sometimes this involves flashing a separate modem(radio) file that has been extracted from a different firmware in order to make your radio work with your specific carrier. You might be in for more than you bargained for. I don't know which specific modifications you'll need or what files you'll need to make it work in your region, im just trying to give you an idea of what you need to look into.
You can try some of the Russian android forums, someone there might know how to make the device work in Albania. You might want to ask around in those forums first before you try anything, that way you won't waste time trying things that might not work. It will save you time if they know where you need to start and what you need.

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 that's causing all kinds of issues. Originally it had google FRP. After watching some videos on youtube, I installed combination firmware and after enabling developer option and flashing with some firmware, phone booted, started setup but halfway though the initial phone setup, it will power down and reboot to the same point. Tried various firmware but same result each time. I somehow think I still haven't loaded the correct firmware. Need help identifying which firmware I need or if there's something else.
on the back of the phone, it has SM-G930UZKAX. When I loaded this combination firmware (may not be the correct one), in about phone, it shows my model is SM-930V! Not sure why it's different than the sticker. Please advise how I can obtain the PDA, CSC, etc so I can get the correct firmware.
Much appreciate any help.
Thanks
Hey everyone! My little sister watched on youtube a topic about how to play fortnite on unsupported devices and tried recoding my phone. It ended up not working because of the RAM being too low and she decided to randomly find a sony device build.prop and copy&paste it on my phone. It now doesn't start up. I might have made a further mistake by resetting my phone to factory settings which didn't help. I then tried flashing it using an AP file I found, but it didn't work. I have now been searching for BL+AP+CP+CSC to do a full repair of the phone but the files i find are always old. The model is pretty rare too, which means there aren't a lot of the new files out there.
PHONE MODEL: SM-G920L
ANDROID VERSION: 7.0
MADE IN: IDK BUT PROBABLY AUSTRALIA 'COS THAT'S WHERE I LIVE.
Help please?

First, you need to know the three letter Region code for your country/carrier.
Do a google search for:
"Region code for Australia (include your carrier name here)"
That should find your three letter code.
Then go to Sammobile .com or samsung-updates .com, use their search feature there to enter your device's model number. That should find a list of firmware for that model, then, on that list, find the newest version of firmware that has the same three letter region code as your country/carrier. Flash that firmware using Odin.
You said the files you found are all old, that is normal because the device is an S6, its an old device, the firmware files will be old also because they were created during the time that S6 was a current device on the market. There would not be any firmware files that are more than 2 years newer than the device. Samsung only supported the device for a few years.
