Yes it will brick, don't do that. Please ask these kind of questions on existing threads. There is no need for opening new ones.

No, do not do that, IF it even let u flash the image u will only end up with a nice looking paperweight

I'm following them on Twitter and there has been no updates for almost 3 weeks now. Nothing new, no updates regarding release or anything. Just plain excuses, I know devs have life but at least they should guarantee something not making people give false hopes.

Hello to everyone,
I would love to start making my own ROM for Nexus S. I have read several posts and threads about how to do it , but I haven't found the base-ROM that I will start working with. I need a stock ROM so as I can put all the little things in their.
If someone help me find out from where should i download stock Jelly Bean Android 4.1.1-2 ROM to start playing with android-kitchen , it will be great.
Thanks You for ur time in advance.

Hi, you could download the official factory image (for your device's model) that google released, then extract and work with the *.zip file contained.

But anyways there are some tutorials on YouTube that clearly explains everything so I suggest you to look up into there and it also provides you with the link to download the required software http://m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_uri=/ this for eg

Yes, it's possible, it's not that hard to do so you might as well attempt it yourself.

apktool probably doesn't work for the L API level then. In which case you wait.

Probably not, at least not yet. Its a developer preview anyways, not a release. In my opinion, Google shouldn't have released a preview anyways, and they never had to.

Is our FIT dead device by now ?
I haven't seen any of the sections in here updated since don't know when !
Have all the devs given up on MY fit ?
If so i may need to start porting n developing new ROMs !(by which I don't even know what it Means !)
I do think so!! & now m going to sell it in a few days. Also having official DDKT3 & DDKB1. Dunno what to do with these firmwares. Can't upload somewhere due to limited bandwidth. Totally confused!!
Sorry for saying this :/ but yes Galaxy fit is dead

Yes, you can, but it don't necessarily mean that you'll fix the bugs, it depends on the rom you'll install.
Rooting your device will allow you to have privilege access to your system so you can change whatever you want and run some apps. Installing a rom is like installing other OS, deppending on the rom you'll notice some differences to stock.
